Entertainment Weekly is reporting that John Wesley Shipp will guest-star in season 2 of The CW's Stargirl. Shipp will be reprising his role as old-school speedster Jay Garrick from The Flash in episode 9. Shipp played the Scarlet Speedster on the 1990 TV series The Flash and his tenure in the Arrowverse began with playing Henry Allen, father of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).

The CW has released a set of promotional posters for their 2021 superhero series with the likes of Black Lightning, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Stargirl, Supergirl and Superman & Lois - all feature the shows’ iconic stars showing the importance of wearing masks while out in public to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Each poster is tagged with 'Real Heroes Wear Masks.' There is no Batwoman poster as Javicia Leslie has just been announced for taking over the role from Ruby Rose and hasn't done a photo shoot in costume yet.
