Happy Valentine's Day to all toy lovers! This year, Valentine's Day promises to be a little tense, since our Haslab Star Wars The Vintage Collection Razor Crest are also starting to pop up on our doorsteps, which means that any dinner plans or romantic dates might be thrown out the window, in order to eagerly wait for the delivery man. ToyFarce investigated... ToyFarce heard several reports of restaurants 'unexpectedly cancelling their dinner reservations', movies 'surprisingly changing their schedules', and other plans for February 14th being rescheduled at the last second, after a wave of notifications about the HasLab Star Wars Razor Crest arriving today was sent to multiple backers. Sharon, from New Jersey, told ToyFarce: "I had spent the afternoon preparing for a nice romantic candlelit dinner at my favorite restaurant with my husband, when he suddently yelled in the living room "YES! THIS IS THE WAY!". I asked him what happened and, he said that unfortunately, we could not go to the restaurant anymore, that they cancelled, which was upsetting. A moment later, I heard the doorbell, and thought nothing of it. It's only when I went to the living room that I realized what was going on... My husband had a huge Star Wars Razor Crest box on the table, and he was jumping up and down in every direction, due to the excitement. He still got me some flowers, which he gave me while hiding his big Star Wars box behind him... He's been in his collection room for hours, nown playing with it... Anybody interested in a candlelit dinner?" Could it have been avoided? Well... sure. But we kinda wanted those to get to us as soon as possible, so be it Valentine's Day, Easter or even Christmas, we would have done anything to free up our schedule in order to collect our Haslab prize! More news at 11:00... What a lovely day! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously! So if you have seen the season episode of The Mandalorian titled "The Tragedy" then you already know that Mando's ship the Razor Crest met a pretty unexpected demise by being completely obliterated my Moff Gideon. This episode comes on the heels of a successful crowdsourcing campaign for a Vintage Collection toy of the vehicle that my guess most thought would be around for the full duration of the show. A campaign that required folks to spend $350 to back. Now obviously the ship being destroyed in the show doesn't mean that people who backed the project still won't be getting a cool toy, but there are those who might find it less appealing to own something based on a vehicle that didn't even last two full seasons in the show. So is the Razor Crest truly gone? I don't see how it could be put back together since there wasn't much left than a big crater, but who's to say Mando couldn't get himself another one eventually. The Razor Crest is classified as a gunship, and although an older ship, who's isn't to say there aren't similar looking gunships out there to be had? Right now Din Djarin is flying around with his new found buddy Boba Fett in Slave-1. Hasbro has already done several versions of Slave-1 for the Vintage Collection, none of which are as nice as the upcoming Razor Crest, but it seems doubtful to me that Djarin will use Slave-1 long term.
