Unfortunately, some deals made in the last few years are making that difficult. Sources say, they have been trying to regain the rights from Turner Broadcasting, who gained them in a 2016 agreement. Apparently Turner is not interested in losing the rights to the films, as they say, "...the talks haven’t advanced further." Disney has also announced they will not extend their current deal with Netflix, which ends in 2019. (Source: Bloomberg)
  3. Netflix has released the trailer for Season 2 of the animated horror fantasy series "Castlevania," which features the voices of Richard Armitage, James Callis, and Graham McTavish. The series is based on the classic 1989 Japanese video game series by Konami, and it tells the story of Trevor Belmont (Armitage), a vampire hunter who is the last surviving member of a disgraced family of monster hunters. Seeking to restore his family's legacy, Belmont embarks on a dangerous quest to fight Dracula and his dark army, all while the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. Executive produced and written by celebrated comic book writer Warren Ellis and produced by Frederator Studios.   4. Netflix is redeveloping the scripts and re-casting the new series. Locke & Key, written by Joe Hill, is a horror/fantasy series that revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them. For those wondering what to expect for the next season of the Netflix docu-series The Toys That Made Us, which has now been officially dubbed season 3, here is a list of the toy brands they will be covering that was announced the other week during SDCC. Power Rangers, Wrestling, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and My Little Pony. Still not word on when the next season will air, but likely it will be towards the end of the year in December.

She-Ra for those not familiar is the sister of He-Man. The new series will air on November 16. Today, as part of their NETFLIX ❤ ANIME panel at Anime Expo, Netflix announced two new anime series, along with the renewal of popular series Aggretsuko for a second season, as well as date announcements and first look images for upcoming titles in their growing anime slate, including the following: New Series ULTRAMAN will launch in Spring 2019 New Series Kengan Ashura will launch in 2019 Aggretsuko will return for a second season in 2019 GODZILLA: City on the Edge of Battle will launch on July 18, 2018 Dragon Pilot will launch on September 21, 2018 Castlevania Season 2 will launch on October 26, 2018 Cannon Busters will launch on April 1, 2019 Following the announcements, Netflix Director of Content for Japan & Anime John Derderian moderated a panel featuring key anime creators LeSean Thomas (Cannon Busters), Adi Shankar (Castlevania) and Shinji Higuchi (Dragon Pilot).
