  1. MOTU Origins Spikor! After seeing the Masterverse Spikor figure at retail, I immediately had to buy it and convert to an Origins figure. Fairly simple as I used an extra Ninjor torso and waist, Triple H Skull King legs, and Triple H arms with Masterverse figures hand, spike arm, and arm bands. I only had to color match paint on the arms and paint some He-Man boots black. Hope you enjoy this and please leave some feedback. Thanks.
  2. Mattel's new Masters of the Universe Origins line while seemingly widely liked by collectors has also been a source of frustration for many. The line started seeing release at the beginning of the year, but only at Walmart stores. Of course in typical Walmart fashion, many stores got little to no stock for these figures and carried in very low numbers online. Suffice to say, finding the figures to actually be able to buy up until this point has been challenging to say the least. Originally it was said by Mattel that Walmart would have exclusive first dibs on the line for one year, but we are starting to see indications that November is when everyone will be able to start carrying the line. Our first indication came the other day when we told you how a Florida based online distributor had started listing new Masters of the Universe Origins products including listings for a unannounced Masters of the Universe Origins Castle Grayskull playset which had a November release date listed. Then yesterday we began hearing reports of Masters of the Universe Origins products showing up in the Target computer system which included that Castle Grayskull playset showing a $75 price point. Now Amazon.com has started taking pre-orders for Masters of the Universe Origins figures with a November 15 release date. Man-At-Arms Evil-Lynn Teela Scare-Glow Man-E-Faces Orko - Is being sold by the Amazon Global Store right now Beast Man And my guess more will be showing up there soon.
  3. Thanks.
  4. Mini comic appearance origins display. Tweaked evil Lyn and teela a bit to look like they did in original mini comics. Skeletor was done with Keldor body.
  5. With all the DC Superheroes I've been making lately, I neglected to make villains for them to punch. So what better one to start with than constant foil to the Man of Steel, Lex Luthor! Lex was made using a WWE MOTU Roman Reigns torso with Kane arms and legs. The gauntlets are from a Toy Biz AOA Apocalypse figure and the boots ( which were a pain in the @$$ to make) were cut from a 3.75" Iron Monger figure with shin guards placed on the Kane boots. Lastly the head, upper armor, and waist sash were taken from a DC Universe Orange Lantern Lex Luthor. Hope you enjoy this and as always please leave feedback. Your comments motivate me to crank out more customs.
  6. Next up for my Masters of the Universe-Origins DC Superheroes line is a founding member, and staple of the Justice League the Martian Manhunter, J'onn J'onzz. I made this using the head, cape, chest straps/belt, and boot tops from the DC Universe figure. Then, I used the torso, arms, legs from a MOTU Origins Man at Arms. And finally the waist from a Masters of the WWE Universe Roddy Piper. The best part about this very simple custom or kit bash is that I didn't have to paint any green. The DC Universe head and Masters body matched perfectly. Just needed to color match the bright blue of the boots and sand off the arm bands. I hope you enjoy this, and leave feedback. More members of the League are on the way.
  7. Next up for my Masters of the Universe-Origins line of Superheroes, is the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash! I made this using a He-Man origins head and torso, WWE MOTU Roddy Piper arms, WWE MOTU Ricky Steamboat waist and legs, and WWE MOTU Randy Savage boots. The lightning effect was made from a pattern found on a Google search and then cut with my beautiful daughter's assist using her Cricket. The logo was also found on a Google search, I then cut it with an e xacto knife and applied. Finally the ear wings were taken from an old Flash figure, that I had in my parts bin. I hope you enjoy this and leave feedback. More League members are on the way.
  8. So, after I found a vintage Webstor for a decent price at a Toy Show yesterday, I got to work on an Origins custom that I've been wanting to make for a long time. (Just needed the vintage gear) Yes, I know the figure will be released in a few months, but I wanted mine to be a darker color scheme (He is supposed to be a stealth character after all) instead of the brighter colors used for the line. This figure is a repainted Origins Skeletor with a resin head cast of the 4 Horsemen Classics sculpt sold at Plastic Curves MOTU store. I hope you enjoy this, and my other Origins customs to come.
  9. I thought it was about time for the Joe's to enter the MOTU Origins universe. Zartan, Master of Disquise and Leader of the evil swamp dwelling Dreadnoks. Was made using the torso, arms, and chest plate from a Masters of the WWE Universe Roddy Piper. The legs are a combo of both Kane (upper) and Braun Strowman (lower), and lastly the head is a heavily modified Sting. Other mods were made using apoxie sculpt and the shoulder pads belong to a 90s animated Toy Biz Iron Man figure.
  10. After making my Dollar Tree Micro Faker, I wanted to make Skeletor's #1 henchmen, Beastman. The Mega Contrux figures are the same scale, and I discovered that the head and armor would fit perfectly on the micro He-Man body. Just had to dremel the arm armor and add some hair with some apoxie sculpt to the legs. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it.
  11. Continuing with my "Monsters of the Universe-Origins" is the Wolfman. It was created using a MOTU Origins Beastman, feet from a DC Multiverse Mutant Leader, and lastly hands from the Warcraft movie line. All other details including additional hair and ripped clothing were made from apoxie sculpt. I hope you enjoy this, and keep watching for additional monsters to come.
  12. These are the last three shipments I got from BBTS (except Zartan who I meant to put in the last one). From left to right that's Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger, Ultimate Battle Damaged City Hunter and Guardian Predators, Classified Series Zartan, Roadblock, Flint, and Lady Jaye, Studio Series 86 Hot Rod and Scourge, Kingdom Inferno, Dinobot, and Ractonite, Action Toys Machine Robo Blue Jet Robo, and finally Origins Fisto, Clamp Champ, LoP Mer-Man, 200x Evil-Lyn, Battle-Cat, and Wind Raider.
  13. Happy 4th of July weekend. After a recent meet and greet with 70s Captain America Reb Brown, I was inspired to finish my MOTU Origins, Captain America. It was made using the Torso and arms from a MOTU Origins Prince Adam, lower legs from a Masters of the WWE Universe Rey Mysterio, and the Marvel Legends Captain America figure's head. Boots and gloves were sculpted with apoxie sculpt and the chest stripes were made using automobile pin striping. Hope you enjoy this and leave feedback.
  14. With one magic word. Shazam! Captain Marvel joins the fight in my Masters of the Universe Origins line of custom Superheroes. Made from various MOTU Origins and the simarly styled sister line Masters of the WWE Universe figures. Apoxie sculpt was used for costume details such as the arm braces, belt, chest flap, and the boot tops. The cape is from a DC Direct First Appearance Captain Marvel. And lastly the head is a resin cast of MOTU Classics Molarr. I hope you enjoy this one as it's my personal favorite from the heroes that I've made. Of course, I'm a little biased as the Big Red Cheese is also my favorite from the DC Universe stable of characters.
  15. Here's my custom leader of the evil snakemen, King Hiss. Alot of work went into this one. The head and chest plate are resin casts from the MOTU Classics figure. I then made a cast of the front and back chest from the original figure and applied it to a WWE Braun Strowman figure. Next for the arms, I again used the original figure and added a ball joint from a WWE Create a wrestler, then I filled in the gaps with apoxie sculpt and matched the scales. Lastly the legs were sculpted over with apoxie sculpt. I hope you like it and more Origins figures are on their way. Thanks for looking.
  16. Continuing my series of superheroes using the MOTU Origins and Masters of the WWE Universe interchangeable parts, Here's my custom Batman. I based his colors design off of the 84 Super Powers figure. The head is from a 90s Knight Force (I believe) figure that I had in my parts bin and the cape and belt are from the DC Direct Reactivated release of a previous figure. I plan on contiuning with more Justice League members to follow.
  17. Today I got WFC Kingdom Leader Megatron and Voyager Cyclonus, Action Toys Buggy Robo (Machine Robo counterpart of Go-Bots BuggyMan), and Origins Landshark. I'm a big fan of Beast Wars and the 86 movie, so this was another one I was really looking forward to. By the way if you aren't familiar with it this Buggy Robo is from Action Toys line based on Machine Robo: Revenge Of Cronos which are basically cheaper and smaller scale masterpiece figures.
  18. Here's everything I just got from BBTS. That's MOTU Origins Deluxe Ram Man, McFarlane Fortnite Plastic Patroller, Studio Series 86 Leader Grimlock and Wheelie, Plunderlings Fawn Flute, and Marvel Select Rampaging Hulk. I was pretty exited for this one since this is the first Grimlock figure I've ever owned and it's amazing. My only issue is I wish the budget that went into Wheelie was used elsewhere and that he got his own release as a core class figure similar to Rattrap. Also I always have room for another Hulk, but this one immediately became my favorite. Nothing really to say about Ram Man, but it looks like Plastic Patroller and Flute will be the last of those lines I get for awhile since it doesn't look like McFarlane will be able to make any more Fortnite figures and I've already bought all the Plunderlings I could before they sold out.
  19. The official website for the official Masters of the Universe Power-Con convention, today released some teaser images for upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins figures. These will be offered as exclusives during the convention later this year. From the first image we see a teaser of a MOTU Origins 5-Pack which will cost attendee's $200. It looks like it will include figures of He-Man, Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Mer-Man and perhaps Beast-Man. The first one in the second row we aren't entirely sure about. The second image is for an exclusive of one single MOTU Origns figure which looks to be She-Ra. This one is listed with a price of $40 for con attendees There will also be a third Hot Wheels based exclusive. No image or any other details were provided for that one at this time. We assume the Origins exclusives for the 5-pack will use the same bodies as the regular released versions and likely feature things like different paint decos, head sculpts and/or accessories. For instance, the one we think is Beast Man looks to have a different harness piece on from the regular released version we have seen. The things sticking up on the shoulders are likely bones as seen on some versions of the character. For the She-Ra, at this time there has been no announcement of a regular release version, but I would be very surprised if they didn't end up doing one sooner or later. Earlier in the week we showed you a rumored list of Origins products that supposedly leaked out from the German Toy Fair. In that list they had a Skeletor/Keldor 2-pack listed as a convention exclusive. While that entire list has by any means been confirmed, it should be noted that the con exclusive mentioned there was likely referring to this year's San Diego Comic Con exclusive, not these Power-Con ones. Power-Con will take place in Anaheim, CA on August 8-9. Tickets are on sale now.
  20. We will keep this one firmly in the rumor category for now, but listings from an online distributor have shown up listing both a Castle Grayskull playset as well as a Moss Man figure for Mattel's Masters of the Universe Origins line. The other things listed were items revealed back in August during Mattel's Power-Con at home panel. The Castle Grayskull playset is listed with a 11/20 date and Moss Man with a 9/20 date. Moss Man is also listed as being for Power-Con which is odd. Not sure if those are supposed to be releases dates, but that seems unlikely to see these items on shelves that soon. Any items released this year for MOTU Origins would be released as Walmart exclusives here in the US. Again for now, I would take this one with a BIG grain of salt until we hear something more reliable. Thanks to Adam for the heads up. UPDATE: An image has surfaced via ENDZEIT for what is said to be the inside of Origins Grayskull playset along with a Sorceress figure. At this time we cannot confirm the legitimacy of this image.
  21. Mattel has released images for the cardback art on the upcoming Masters of the Universe Origins Orko figure. According to Mattel, this one shows Orko helping Man-At-Arms battle Beast Man, but the colors reveal they are guarding the entrance to the Royal Palace! This pays tribute to Alcala’s art from the original Point Dread & Talon Fighter inner packaging. It was revealed during Toy Fair that this figure along with the rest of the Masters of the Universe Origins line will see release later this year as a Walmart exclusive. In 2021 the line should see release everywhere. Check out the images of the card art in our IMAGE GALLERY below.
  22. Mattel has released images for the cardback art on the upcoming Masters of the Universe Origins Trap Jaw figure. According to Mattel, this one reveals a prequel shot of the original Trap Jaw back panel, but from a different point of view. It was revealed during Toy Fair that this figure along with the rest of the Masters of the Universe Origins line will see release later this year as a Walmart exclusive. In 2021 the line should see release everywhere. Check out the images of the card art in our IMAGE GALLERY below.
  23. Mattel has released images for the cardback art on the upcoming Masters of the Universe Origins Man-At-Arms figure. This are was inspired by the original box art from the Skeletor & Landshark 2-pack, and features the same battle scene shown on that original packaging. It was revealed last week during Toy Fair that this figure along with the rest of the Masters of the Universe Origins line will see release later this year as a Walmart exclusive. In 2021 the line should see release everywhere. Likely to coincide with at least one of the two new animated shows coming to Netflix. Check out the images of the card art in our IMAGE GALLERY below.
  24. Mattel has released an updated image for their Masters of the Universe: Origins Sky Sled with Prince Adam which was first announced during PowerCon. Look for it to be released later this year for $29.99.
