  1. On Wednesday, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team held their first Fanstream of 2023, and there was a TON of reveals. A Marvel Legends Spider-man comic wave, Avengers 60th anniversary figures, 2-packs, a giant Super Adaptoid, a Spider-man: The Animated Series Doc Ock, and more importantly, an AUNT MAY figure! There was also a video teasing that the next Haslab would be Avengers-themed... and ToyFarce might have found out for you what it is going to be! The teaser started by mentioning "SINCE 1963", before showing the Avengers logo and the Haslab logo. ToyFarce noticed that on the number 6, we can see Ant-man and the Wasp, which are currently in cinemas worldwide with the movie 'Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania', so we figured the 6 was a clue. We went back and checked the covers of issue 6 of the Avengers comic book, and lo and behold, a cover from 2018 ended up being a dead giveaway! On that cover, we can see the 2018 Avengers team, which included Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, She Hulk, Doctor Strange and none other than the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider, all hanging out in a vehicle that one could call an 'Engine of vengeance'. Here is the early render that ToyFarce made: More news at 11:00... So is it the 'Engine of Avengeance', now? *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  2. In case you missed it, or haven't seen people complaining all over social media for the last few days (lucky!), Hasbro has announced a new Marvel Legends Spider-man figure, with the new Gamerverse Advance Suit, for a whopping $34,99 (Ouch). This led to several toy reviewers from Youtube to reconsider their choices, and one of them came up with a perfect solution: Why buy new when you can tote-dive for old stuff and review them as if they were new? "The toy prices are getting so out of hand that I will not be able to continue reviewing brand new figures right when they come out", told Robert G., a collector from North Carolina. "But I also still want to keep posting content for my followers, so I came up with the idea of reviewing older figures from my personal collection, as if they were brand new. Most of them are in great condition so it's actually not that far from brand new, and I also have a lot of them still in mint condition, so I can now continue to do unboxing videos, even if I unbox figures that are 5-10 years old, instead of the newer stuff." "I can also "cheat" a bit, and keep up with current themes: Whenever a new Spider-man figure will come out, I will review an old Spider-man action figure from my collection, which should still boost the views a bit, because people might think it's the latest one. Kinda like those rip-off movies that come out at the same time as big blockbuster movies, that have nearly exactly the same name, but were way cheaper to make!" More news at 11:00... Improvise. Adapt. Review old stuff.

  5. It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the much anticipated Haslab Galactus from the Hasbro Marvel Legends line. Hasbro Pulse was not available in Europe back then, but when this gigantic Galactus was announced during the summer last year, I placed my order within the first minutes it popped up on Hasbro's European partner, Zavvi. And finally, Galactus has arrived! I grew up with all the ToyBiz versions of him (the Fantastic Four one with his 'planetary converter' vacuum cleaner accessory, the Silver Surfer one that said "I ... HUNGER!", along with the smaller Silver Surfer one, and of course, the Marvel Legends Build-a-figure), so this was a no-brainer for me, and OH BOY, the Devourer of Worlds did not disappoint! First, the box... the huge, huge box. Somehow, after seeing numerous reviews on Youtube and pictures online, I thought the box would be a tad smaller. Nope. This thing is the size of a new TV box! And the art on it is gorgeous! A drawing of Galactus and his heralds on the front, the sides have Jack Kirby style art, and the back can be used as a diorama. Unboxing it is an experience on its own, with Galactus and the figures on the side... Fun! This is your first glimpse at this gigantic toy! Since Galactus didn't fit AT ALL in my usual space for photography, I took pics on the floor. Galactus comes with a ton of accessories, which were unlocked during the Haslab campaign: 2 different mouth-pieces, a Silver Surfer figure with 2 extra pairs of hands and a stand that can be attached on Galactus' hand, a Frankie Raye (Nova) figure, also with 2 extra pairs of hands and a stand that can be attached to Galactus' hand, a figure of Morg with his battle axe, and a Doctor Doom head for Galactus (whichwas the last unlockable tier). This figure is a marvel of toy engineering (no pun intended). The sculpt looks amazing, the paint apps are great, and the articulations do oh, so many clicks (ratchet joints all around). This is an imposing figure, to say the least, and quite heavy too. The several options for the head are great, even if I imagine that most collectors will display him either with the basic one of the angry mouth, since that's the most iconic way he has been drawn in comic books. The hands with all the fingers articulated separately are done beautifully. I usually hate figures with articulated hands, but this one just works. The heralds figures are a great addition to the set, even if Galactus alone was already good enough. I did not have a Silver Surfer so I'm happy to get one with Galactus, and Nova and Morg are fantastic figures. The cons? Okay, the articulations are a bit rigid and I'm always a bit scared after each click, that either I broke something, or pinched my fingers really hard (it happened twice). His tunic prevents him from sitting down, but I didn't plan to sit him on anything anyway. Finally, the stands that attach to the hands are probably the thing I liked the less, since they are not super stable, and the figures falls down pretty easily. Plus, with the weight, they tend to make Big G fall forward a bit. If you manage to attach them in a way that they won't fall, then it's not an issue. More news at 11:00... To me, my Galactus!
