  1. Heres Super Lex! This was made up by me with spare parts, I had in the box. My thought process is this is what Luthor fantasizes about when he let's himself dream. A world where he's the hero and has the power and Superman is the evil despot trying to take over the planet.
  2. NECA today released this teaser image for what looks like another one of their Kenner inspired Alien figures. This one specifically looks to be based on the original Kenner Panther Alien that Kenner did back in the day. Stay-tuned for more details on this as they become available.
  3. Regal Robot is expanding their line of wood art plaques with four designs sure to tug at the nostalgia strings of anyone who was a Star Wars fan in the 1970’s and 1980’s! Using iconic artwork from the Lucasfilm image archives, these new plaques are inspired by the classic vinyl collector carry cases within which so many of us used to tote around our beloved Star Wars toys. These bold wall décor pieces showcase wonderful classic art styles and each 17.5″ wide plaque ships ready to hang! Choose from four great vintage designs – -Star Wars: A New Hope -Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Version A (Yoda top-right) -Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Version B (Wampa top-right) -Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
  4. Looks like another 80's toyline is set to make a comeback of sorts. A company called Ramen Toy posted this image for new 1/10 scale figures which translates to around 7" tall. They say the figures which will be sold separately will be released sometime this year. From the image you can see the figures appear to be based on the designs from the classic Centurions: Power Xtreme animated series which first premiered back in 1986. The designs for some of the characters from this show were actually done by legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby. The show had a toyline from Kenner and a comic book series from DC Comics. Now I should note Ramen Toy who appears to be an overseas company never actually refers to these figures as Centurions, so it's unclear if these are officially licensed products or not. Ramen lists themselves as a company who consists of fans from the 80s making collectibles from the 80s. The three figures they show appear to be based on the characters of Sea Operations Commander Max Ray (Green), Daring' Air Operations Expert Ace McCloud (blue) and Rugged' Land Operations Specialist Jake Rockwell (yellow). The premise of the original show was that a group of guys called The Centurion who joined with exo-suits that they after shouting the words "PowerXtreme". Their slogan was man and machine, Power Xtreme. The show took place in the 21st Century and they fought a cyborg mad scientist named Doc Terror who wanted to take over the world. No other details on these new figures are yet available like price and where or how they will be sold. Again while these are clearly based on The Centurions designs from the 80's, it's not clear if these are officially licensed The Centurions figures or not. We will update when more detailsbecome available.
  5. Mando Monday kicks off early thanks to Anerdydad who gives us a look at the upcoming Kenner like 3 3/4" Star Wars Retro figures based on the Mandalorian Disney+ series. 6. Hello. Here's a custom figure I just finished. I had a beat Star Wars Luke Skywalker in X-Wing pilot gear and a broken Robotech Max Sterling figure, so I combined the two. I used Acrylicos Vallejo paint for the limbs, and magnets to connect the joints. Enjoy.
  7. The guys over at Yakface have done some digging and discovered news listings on the Walmart website indicating a 3rd wave of 6" Black Series figures featured on Vintage Kenner Empire Strikes Back cardbacks is in the works from Hasbro. Of course until Hasbro finally gets around to confirming this, we will treat this as rumor. The figures they found listed include the following: - Snowtrooper - Luke Skywalker (Dagobah) - We assume the same one coming in the recently announced 2-Pack with Yoda - Chewbacca - Boba Fett - Darth Vader So unlike wave 2 which saw new figures being released such as the Rebel Snowtrooper and Snowspeeder Outfit Luke (Those figures will see release in the regular Black Series as well), these all appear to be simple re-issues on the Kenner-like cardbacks. These are not listed as Walmart exclusives, so they should end up being released everywhere like the first two waves. Wave 1 and 2 are hitting shelves now. We will update this story as more details become available.
  8. Earlier today we showed you a new Star Wars Retro Collection Hoth Ice Planet Adventure Game With Luke Figure, and now here is a look at the single carded figures for Hasbro's Kenner Retro line that are from Empire Strikes Back. The wave includes Kenner like figures of Bespin Luke (Yellow Hair), Hoth Leia, Boba Fett, Lando Calrissian, Yoda and Hoth Han Solo. Check back tomorrow for better looks at these and more from Hasbro's Toy Fair showroom. Coverage kicks off at 1:30pm ET.

You truly belong here with us among the clouds.” - LandoGentle Giant Ltd expands our hugely collectible line of 12” Jumbos based on the vintage Star Wars action figures with another key figure from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back! While escaping from the Empire, the small band of rebels aboard the Millennium Falcon seek asylum in Cloud City above the gas mines of Bespin. The city is being managed by Lando, and old friend of Han’s, so they should be able to relax a bit before heading back into the fray. While Princess Leia did change clothes, she did not let her guard down while in “the city in the clouds.” However it was too late… trouble had already found them…Digitally scanned from mint 3.75” vintage originals and reproduced in scale to the rest of the Jumbo figure line. 17. Imo, one of the biggest oversights in the vintage line, was the lack of Cloud City playset(s). Sure the Micro Collection had a few, but, for 3 3/4", there was just a cardboard display. Recently, I started thinking, customs-wise, what if Kenner had reused one of their other playsets, to create a Cloud City environment? They'd done it numerous times, 'Old West'/Cantina, Land Of The Jawas/Hoth bases, Ewok Village/Robin Hood, etc...What if the vintage Death Star playset had been reused, with a few modifications, to create Cloud City? I haven't tried sketching any of this, let alone , made any mock-ups, but, what about this... Top level,: still cast in white, but, cannon is removed, replaced by 'Cloud City 'sculpture' or furniture from Han & Leia's room. This level doubles as Han & Leia's room/Dining room/ battle area. 'tractor beam'/elevator/roof recast in bronze or white? 2nd Level: still cast in black, is Vader duel area, cardboard slider portrays carbon Freeze area, maybe with 'window' flaps' allowing figure to fly through 3rd Level: recast in black w/ orange decals, 'trap door' 'becomes 'carbon freeze', 'lowering mechanism' replaces trash compactor. I'd also add some sort of 'gantry attachment to outside wall, below 'window'. Bottom level houses mechanism to lover Han/switch out carbonite; although outside wall could also double as East Platform w/ Slave 1 or Platform 327 w/ Falcon Granted, this would take a lot of modification, esp the reworked top and bottom levels, carbon freeze,, and gantry add-on, but, man, I wish I had the budget and/or skills to pull this off, lol
