  3. Happy Indiana Jones week, everyone! This week has certainly been revolving around Dr Henry Jones Jr as every brand seemed to have a Indiana Jones figure to announce: SH Figuarts Indiana Jones figure! Mezco One:12 Collective Indiana Jones figure! Hot Toys old Indiana Jones figure from the new movie! Hasbro Adventure Series "Last Crusade" third wave of figures, and of course, the new movie "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny! ToyFarce managed to get an exclusive scoop about what's next! This week, in a nutshell: "You get an Indiana Jones! You get an Indiana Jones!" We all know the fourth movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is everyone's favorite Indiana Jones movie (...not). Hasbro has released Temple of Doom figures in their second wave of Indiana Jones Adventure Series, and Last Crusade figures in the third wave, so it makes a lot of sense that wave 4 will focus on the beloved 4th movie. As a treat, Patrick from the Hasbro Indiana Jones and Star Wars team let ToyFarce reveal what is in the infamous pipelines! The fourth wave of Indiana Jones Adventure Series figures will have a Indiana Jones figure (duh), a new Marion Ravenwood, Mutt Williams (aka Indiana Jones' son, as portrayed by Shia Lebeouf), Irina Spalko (as portrayed by Cate Blanchett), Harold Oxley (John Hurt) and the confusing alien from the end of the movie (Spoiler... for a 15 year old movie!). The Build-an-Artifact will be from a pivotal scene of the film that fans are still praising today: The Fridge, from that fridge scene! Each character will come with a piece of the fridge (Indy with the door, Marion and Mutt with the sides, Irina with the back, Harold with the top and bottom, and the alien with shelves and groceries to add inside). More news at 11:00... *Nuclear weapon not included *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  4. It's Wednesday, and you know what that means: ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the first wave of Indiana Jones Adventure Series from Hasbro. Finally, we are getting nice 7" Indiana Jones figures. Yaay! This first wave is focusing on the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie, with the Ark of the Covenant as the "Build-an-Artifact", and each figure comes with a piece of it. First, the main character, Indiana Jones, as portrayed by Harrison Ford. Holding that figure in your hand is just so cool... He comes with a bunch of accessories: 4 extra hands, his whip (loose or rolled), his satchel, a gun, the idol from the iconic scene with the giant boulder, and 2 pieces of the Ark of the Covenant. The likeness is really good, the figure has a decent amount of articulation (even if nO DoUbLe eLbOw oR DoUbLe kNeEs). My only issue with it is that it is a pain in the butt to attach the whip on his belt, as it's a rubbery peg to put in a tiny hole that can't even hold it... Hopefully, this will be solved in future releases. Also, no snakes?! Marion Ravenwood, played by Karen Allen, is a necessary figure for any Raiders of the Lost Ark set. This figure is not amazing, but not terrible either. She comes with a pan and a monkey (there has to be a joke somewhere...), and a piece of the Ark. The large puffy pants do not really look great in plastic form, but if she's just standing up. The likeness is a bit off. I wish there was a peg on her shoulder (or in the back) to hold the monkey, who tends to fall off a lot. Sallah, played by John Rhys-Davies, is another mandatory figure for any set from the first film. He has the look of when he helps Indiana Jones to find the Ark. He comes with rope, a shovel and pieces of the Ark. The likeness to the actor is not great, but there is something. I hope we'll get the Last Crusade look with the fez later on! The mischievous Major Arnold Toht is a fun one. He comes with an extra head (the melting one. Yep!), an extra hand (the one with the scar), a hat, a gun and his pieces of the Artifact. It's pretty wild that we have the melting head! Great likeness too! His jacket hinders the articulations a lot, but it is removable and he's wearing a suit under it. As long as the pose where he shows his scarred hand can be achieved, it's all good! René Belloq, in his ceremonial outfit from the end of the movie, comes with his staff and the last pieces of the Ark. The likeness is close enough. It is pretty wild to have those updated, improved version of the vintage figures in hand in 2023. They really look great. Finally, the Build-an-Artifact Ark of the Covenant, which looks awesome, and I bet we'll see it in a ton of toy photography. It's pretty light also, so the figures can carry it easily. Only open it if you dare... More news at 11:00... Snakes! Why'd it have to be snakes?
  5. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced today at The Walt Disney Company's Upfronts Presentation that the iconic "Indiana Jones" movies and series will be available to stream on Disney+ starting May 31. Fans can stream "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," and the television series "The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones" before the final installment of the beloved franchise, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," opens exclusively in theaters June 30. "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" In this first installment of the series, which was nominated for eight Academy Awards(R) including Best Picture and won four, archeologist-adventurer Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is tasked by Army Intelligence to track down an invaluable staff that is the key to locating the Ark of the Covenant, which is being sought by the Nazis. "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" After fleeing a nightclub shooting and being dropped out of an abandoned plane, Professor Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), singer Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw), and 12-year-old Short Round (Ke Huy Quan) find themselves in a starving Indian village who blame their plight on the loss of three mystical stones that have always brought the village prosperity. Jones vows to return the stolen rocks - which brings him and his unlikely cohorts face-to-face with a deadly cult. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" There's nothing more exciting than trying to keep up with the Joneses in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." Indy's Nazi enemies are back and have kidnapped his father, Professor Henry Jones, Sr. (Sean Connery), in their effort to locate the sacred Holy Grail. Following a trail from America to Venice to the deserts of the Middle East, it's up to Indy (Harrison Ford) to save his father, save the Grail and save the day in this non-stop, action-packed adventure the whole family will treasure. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" Famed archaeologist/adventurer Dr. Henry Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is called back into action when he becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls. "The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones" At the dawn of the 20th century, Indiana Jones (Sean Patrick Flanery) discovered the world. From globetrotting family expeditions as a 9-year-old to the battlefields of World War I as a teenager, Indy's experiences shaped the heroic, whip-cracking archaeologist he would become. At every turn, Indy encounters history in the making, meeting true-life activists, soldiers, writers, artists, and thinkers who helped influence the world we live in today.
