It's Power-Con weekend, and we were all hoping that this would be the year we would finally get to meet The Power at its own convention, but unfortunately, it seems like it will not happen again... A P.R. representative of The Power informed ToyFarce that The Power has a busy schedule this week, unfortunately cannot do any appearances, and apologizes to the fans going to Power-Con just to meet their idol. "Sadly, it's the same story every year", said an member of the team that organizes the event. "We have a fantastic toy show every year, and we even named it after The Power, hence "Power-Con" (Oh, that's what it means!), and still, every year, The Power cancels last minute. Now, we have to cancel The Power's panel, and work on the schedule again!" "Every year, dozens of attendees dressed as Prince Adam leave the convention a bit bummed out, as nothing happened when they held aloft their magic sword and said: 'By the Power of Grayskull!'." said another member. "They all hope to feel a bit of The Power, even if for only a few seconds, but The Power never shows up for its own convention." ToyFarce reached out to The Power for a comment, but didn't get any answer. To those who attend, have a great Power-Con weekend! This year's show looks stacked, it's like a second SDCC! This week, Toyfarce has got a treat for you! We have found a huge He-Man and the Masters of the Universe collector and super fan that has the ability to name at least half of the characters! That's right! This fan can name several MOTU characters other than the main ones! Insane! "A lot of people ask me what my secret is, and unfortunately, I do not have a good answer for it." said Daniel, the walking MOTU encyclopedia. "I'm just really good with faces, so it's easy for me to remember their names. Also, I used to have them MOC (mint on card) in my collection room, so I could just read the names on the cards. It's only when I started opening my figures, due to lack of space, that I realized that I still remembered most of their names! I was arranging them on my shelves and thinking 'This one is Stinkor, and that one is Man-E-Faces'... That's when I knew something special was happening." An application to the Guinness World Records has been sent, but Daniel did not get a reply at the time of writing. More news at 11:00... "What is that one's name again? I always forget... Ah yes! For a quick custom, I decided to spruce up my retail version of the 200x He-Man figure. I muted the bright yellow hair color down, painted the red ribbons on the armor, and also added some chrome accents to said armor, lastly I added the vac metalized sword that was included with the 200x Castle Grayskull. Hope you enjoy this version. More to come.

MOTU Origins Lord Masque, was made using the head, belt, and harness from the MOTU Classics figure, a random Origins base, with WWE MOTU Ricky Steamboat arms, John Cena arm straps for his leg bands, and finally ROE Keldor boots and cape. Hope you enjoy and leave feedback. Thanks for looking.

Here's my MOTU Origins Plundor the Spoiler. Ruler of the planet Tyrannus, the Evil Bunny is obsessed with becoming the wealthiest being in the universe. He is a master of chemistry and robotics and has an army of evil robot rabbit minions at his disposal (hmm,,,wonder if they can be too far behind?) Plundor was made using a "Naked Stratos" base body with MOTU WWE Ricky Steamboat lower arms, ROE Keldor boots, and the MOTU Classics Plundor head. Finally the armor is from a Vintage MOTU Tri-Klops.

Here's my redesign of the Castle Grayskull,Trollan armor. (Because I wasn't paying the $160+ asking price for one now.) I used the upper/lower arms and legs from a Horde Trooper, boots from a MOTU WWE Kane, and helmet/ upper rig from a space Turtle figure. The rest are bits that were molded and odds and ends from my parts box. Hope you enjoy this and leave feedback. Thanks for looking.

Next up for my Masters of the Universe-Origins DC Superheroes line is a founding member, and staple of the Justice League the Martian Manhunter, J'onn J'onzz. I made this using the head, cape, chest straps/belt, and boot tops from the DC Universe figure.Then, I used the torso, arms, legs from a MOTU Origins Man at Arms. And finally the waist from a Masters of the WWE Universe Roddy Piper. The best part about this very simple custom or kit bash is that I didn't have to paint any green. The DC Universe head and Masters body matched perfectly. Just needed to color match the bright blue of the boots and sand off the arm bands. I hope you enjoy this, and leave feedback. So, after I found a vintage Webstor for a decent price at a Toy Show yesterday, I got to work on an Origins custom that I've been wanting to make for a long time. (Just needed the vintage gear) Yes, I know the figure will be released in a few months, but I wanted mine to be a darker color scheme (He is supposed to be a stealth character after all) instead of the brighter colors used for the line. This figure is a repainted Origins Skeletor with a resin head cast of the 4 Horsemen Classics sculpt sold at Plastic Curves MOTU store. I hope you enjoy this, and my other Origins customs to come.

Motu collection club Grayskull, Motu classics, Motu origins. Filmation collection is a mix of Matty collector and club Grayskull 2.0. Tried to get every character they make that appeared in the 83-85 cartoon. Except granamyr, way too expensive lol. If anyone knows of a figure they make that scales with these that appeared in the filmation he man cartoon that I don’t have please let me know other is the new origins line…

With the release of the Micro Masters of the Universe figures hitting Dollar Tree stores now, I thought why not combine the He-Man and Skeletor figures and make that robotic menace, Faker. I simply cut the Skeletor's head, hands, and torso off at the waist. Then attached that to the He-man figure, attaching his head, hands, and waist. And finally used a tiny amount of apoxie sculpt to fill in the gaps. The rest was just paint. Hope you enjoy the inexpensive $2 custom.

Kevin Smith is recreating the Masters of the Universe in his image for Netflix and of course an action figure line comes along with it. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am liking what I have seen so far, this Battle Cat is no exception. Here's my custom leader of the evil snakemen, King Hiss. Alot of work went into this one. The head and chest plate are resin casts from the MOTU Classics figure. I then made a cast of the front and back chest from the original figure and applied it to a WWE Braun Strowman figure. Next for the arms, I again used the original figure and added a ball joint from a WWE Create a wrestler, then I filled in the gaps with apoxie sculpt and matched the scales. Lastly the legs were sculpted over with apoxie sculpt. I hope you like it and more Origins figures are on their way. Thanks for looking.

I created my MOTU Origins Mighty Thor using a WWE Universe base that was heavily reworked using apoxie sculpt and armor from an old 90s Toy Biz figure, boots were made with cut ribbon that was attached and painted, and lastly the head is from the 80th anniversary figure with an added cape from a custom seller.

Today I was able to score the newest batch of Masters of the Universe Origins products from Mattel at my local Target store, well everything but the Deluxe Battle Armor Skeletor figure. The items I got included Panthor, Deluxe Battle Armor He-Man, She-Ra, Roboto, Zodac and Mer Man. The basic figures cost $14,99 each, while the Deluxe figure was $19.99 and Panthor was $24.99. Here are the DPCI#'s though the figures are currently not listed on Target's website. If you use the code ToyNews10 then you can get 10% off your next purchase with them. So just some quick thoughts on these figures. If you have collected any of the previous Origins released last year at Walmart then you basically know what to expect as far as articulation, paint apps and overall quality. These are meant to be as much for the kids as they are adult collectors and the prices match that line of thought. They are more articulated than the original MOTU figures, but the detail and such isn't on par with say the more recent Classics line. The figures are about 5" so they aren't as tall either. You can also take the figures apart and mix and match. This is nice with like the Battle Armor He-Man figure since you can use these heads as well as the legs on the regular version if you want. The boots actually have a little more paint detail on the Deluxe one. The chest flipping action on my He-Man works pretty good. You can have the chest look clean, have one blade cut or two. when you push the chest it flips just like on the original toy. Panthor is not bad but it would have been nice if they had given him ankle articulation on the feet so you could more easily get all four feet to stay flat on the ground. The Battle Cat has the same issue. If you can wait, I would probably suggest you get the Walmart flocked version coming out later this year. It won't have articulated feet but I think the flocking will look better than the plastic and more in keeping with the original toy. The saddle is removable. Out of the new basic figures, I actually think Roboto was really well done. He has the clear plastic chest and when you turn him at the waist the gears in the chest move and his mouth opens and closes. You also get a cool clicking noise. I never had the original Roboto figure but I am guessing it was very similar. Zodac is probably the most boring of the 4. He only comes with a puny red gun and he has what looks like unpainted fur or feathers on his skin under his armor. I don't recall if this was something on the original figure but it looks odd to me. Mer Man has his bright yellow sword and is another member of Skeletor's original crew of henchmen. I just need Tri-Klops which is coming soon to round out the crew. I will say Mer Man seems a little bigger than the others. I could be wrong but I don't think he should be taller than Trap Jaw or Beastman. Finally there is She-Ra which I mostly like. Her sword is much smaller than He-Man's and I am not a fan of the headpiece though I know thats a nod to the original toy and it is removable. The holo pattern on the headpiece and belt do pick up the light nicely. I like the soft-good red cape but not as fond of the white material they used at her shoulders and waist. She has hard and long plastic yellow hair which I don't think looks bad, but it does limit head movement a fair amount. She can't look up at all which sucks when your trying to put her in poses where she holds her sword up in the air. The art on Panthor is gorgeous and you get mini-comics with all the figures. The basic figures in this wave all have the same mini-comics like we've seen with the previous waves and I think the Deluxe figures will all have the same mini-comic as well. At least the two Battle Armor ones and Ram Man which has yet to be released. So that's it. For the past year the only place in the US where you could get Mattel's new Masters of the Universe Origins figures was Walmart. We knew sometime in 2021 other retailers would be allowed to start carrying the line, but from what I am told you can expect pre-orders to go live as early as midnight tonight at places like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. I don't have an exact list of whats going up tonight, but It looks like things will be kicking off with new product pre-orders as opposed to just the stuff that was already released through Walmart last year. It was my original understanding that the stuff that has already been released at Walmart would eventually be released everywhere as well, but when that is made available for pre-order is not yet clear to me. Stay-tuned for more details on this as they become available.

I made my origins King Randor using the upper body and boots from the Origins He-Man figure and the lower legs from Beastman. The body armor is from the vintage figure , cape and head cast are from custom sellers.

My Origins Hordak was made using a Skeletor Origins base. I then used the vintage figures armor and feet, with the Funko Mumm-Ra cape, and a head cast of the 4H sculpt from the Super 7 Filmation figure.

Mattle today held an online panel for their Hot Wheels brand for Comic-Con At Home. Among other things they revealed some new Masters of the Universe cars featuring a new ride for Skeletor as well as He-Man. These will be out later this Fall. Check out images below of the two cars and if you want to watch then entire panel, that is available as well.

Mattel has released a new image of their upcoming Masters of the Universe: Origins He-Man and Battle Cat figures. These figures will be released at Walmart stores later this year. The Battle Cat figure will cost $24.99. Check out the new image below as well as images of the two from February's Toy Fair.
