  1. Check out the new official full-length trailer for "Peacemaker," the new darkly comic vigilante action series which serves as a spin-off of James Gunn's recent DC supervillain sequel/reboot "The Suicide Squad." PEACEMAKER will explore the origins of the character that John Cena first portrayed in James Gunn's 2021 film, “The Suicide Squad” – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The series stars John Cena as Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Steve Agee as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith. Gunn wrote all eight episodes of PEACEMAKER and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, PEACEMAKER is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television. PEACEMAKER premieres on January 13th, 2022 on HBO MAX
  2. HBO Max has released the synopses and preview images for the first three episodes of season three of DOOM PATROL. The first three episodes will premiere on September 23rd, with subsequent episodes launching weekly every Thursday through November 11th on HBO Max. 301: “Possibilities Patrol” Dorothy and the Candlemaker finally face-off, while the Doom Patrol – now freed from their wax encasings – face troubling side effects. Rita holds the key, but is she ready to answer the call? 302: “Vacay Patrol” A relaxing vacation to escape the Doom Patrol’s recent loss proves anything but – especially when an unexpected evil lurks nearby. 303: “Dead Patrol” After waking up in the tunnel of souls, the Doom Patrol must confront their own personal purgatories. Back at the manor, Dorothy and Larry consult a highly specialized detective agency to help reach their friends. DOOM PATROL reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of superheroes: “Robotman” aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), “Negative Man” aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), “Elasti-Woman” aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby) and “Crazy Jane” (Diane Guerrero), all led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka “The Chief” (Timothy Dalton). Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Season three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission, if only she could remember it. DOOM PATROL is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television with Jeremy Carver, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Chris Dingess and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson serving as executive producers. The series is based on characters created for DC by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani.

  10. It looks like the upcoming Snyder Cut of the Justice League movie from Warner Bros. which will be airing on HBO Max later this year will be getting the 7" action figure treatment from McFarlane Toys. According to a Philippines toy store called Matt's Box, they list the following figures coming from McFarlane: If true, these will be the first Justice League movie figures released by McFarlane since the company didn't have the DC license when the original Justice League movie came out. According to the listings, the Darkseid and Steppenwolf figures look to be 10" tall and released as some kind of deluxe figures. Darkseid was not featured in the original Justice League movie, so this would be the first figure of him from anyone. While Mattel did give us a Steppenwolf figure from the original movie, the Snyder Cut version is said to have gone through some significant CGI upgrades. 3 figures in the listings for the movie are said to be store exclusives here in the US. These will likely be variants released at either Walmart and/or Target. For these, Batman sounds like it will be an unmasked version and Cyborg will have his helmet down. The Superman is kinda odd as it sounds like the store exclusive version will feature his regular outfit. That would suggest the regular release version will feature the all black rebirth outfit. I would have thought it would be the other way around. The final store exclusive figure isn't a movie figure, but a variant for the upcoming Last Knight On Earth wave Wonder Woman. This variant will have the Dr. Fate like helmet like we saw teased by McFarlane back in October of last year. We will treat all of this as rumor for now until McFarlane officially confirms it, but 9 times out of 10 these overseas listings turn out to be true. Let us know your thoughts below in the COMMENTS SECTION, are you looking forward to 7" scale DC Multiverse Justice League movie figures from McFarlane Toys?
