  1. Lionsgate revealed during their presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that they have partnered with Hasbro and LuckyChap, the producer of Barbie, to work on bringing Monopoly to the big screen. The film adaptation of the popular board game is currently in the works, with Hasbro Entertainment playing a key role in its production. Monopoly, the renowned board game brand, has gained immense popularity worldwide and is currently accessible in over 100 countries. Since its inception in 1935, it has successfully sold close to 500 million copies. Source: Deadline
  2. Hasbro Inc., a leading toy and game company, announced today a special cinema experience to celebrate four decades of the TRANSFORMERS franchise with TILL ALL ARE ONE: TRANSFORMERS 40th ANNIVERSARY EVENT. Honoring the brand’s legacy in bringing continuous action and adventure to fans of all ages, the theatrical event will provide limited screenings of episodes from the classic 1984 animated series “THE TRANSFORMERS.” Screenings will be available in select cinemas across the US, UK and Mexico, along with select territories in Europe, Latin America and Asia starting on Wednesday, May 15. Tickets for the TRANSFORMERS 40th Anniversary Event will go on sale at Transformers40thCinemaEvent.com on Wednesday, April 10 at 9.30am Local Time. This special cinema experience will take fans back to the very beginning as some of the TRANSFORMERS original voice-over talent, including Peter Cullen (original voice of Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (original voice of Megatron), team up for the first time in decades to revisit their characters and recreate the enduring magic of the classic 1984 animated series. An exclusive behind-the-scenes table read appears on a split screen for the pilot episode, More Than Meets the Eye, Part 1, followed by a traditional screening of the next three episodes of the series. Fans can experience the original Saturday morning cartoon on the big screen and get a glimpse of its evolution with a sneak peek of the new season of the original animated kids’ series TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate 40 years of TRANSFORMERS action, humor and legacy at an anniversary event that is truly... More Than Meets the Eye! “For decades, the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons has come to life in movies, comic books, innovative toys, live experiences and digital media, elevating the TRANSFORMERS brand to a global powerhouse franchise with millions of fans around the world. To celebrate 40 years, we’re bringing fans back to where it all started,” said Alyse D’Antuono, Vice President, Global Franchise Strategy & Management, Action Brands at Hasbro. “THE TRANSFORMERS animated series captured the imagination of fans of all ages when it premiered in 1984, introducing a timeless battle between good and evil fueled by action and adventure. Ask any longtime fan, and they can probably tell you where they were when they first heard Optimus Prime’s iconic phrase ‘Autobots, roll out’ or what it felt like when they first converted a bot character into its alt mode. With exclusive content featuring the series’ original voice actors, this theatrical event is truly for our fans and invites audiences to experience the fun that started it all.” Distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, the global leader in Event Cinema distribution, this is the second time the company has partnered with Hasbro, Inc., following Peppa’s Cinema Party that screened in cinemas worldwide in February 2024.
  3. Happy Easter weekend, everyone! As is tradition, when there is a holiday on the horizon, we, at ToyFarce, bring you the exclusive scoop about upcoming Star Wars: The Black Series Holiday Edition figures! After the Halloween (we did it first!), Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving and St Patrick editions, we proudly present to you the new Easter edition figures! The Star Wars: The Black Series Easter Edition wave will have 3 figures: A chocolate bunny-themed Clone Trooper, along with chocolate eggs he gathered during his egghunt training, a pastel pink wookie, complete with bunny ears and a chocolate Porg (that one was too easy!) and a pastel-colored First Order Stormtrooper with a mouse droid carrying a basket full of eggs! Those figures, which should have been available right before Easter, should be available around the next one, or will probably pop up at a store at Frank and Sons in California randomly, long before they're even announced (it did happen once!) More news at 11:00... Wishing you all an egg-citing Easter! (Thanks folks, I'll be here all weekend...)
  4. Yesterday (Feb 1st, 2024) marked the 60th anniversary of G.I.Joe, and Hasbro celebrated by revealing new figures throughout the day, which caused a lot of commotion all over the globe. Chaos and mayhem ensued. Could Cobra have been involved in this? ToyFarce investigated. Reveals of upcoming, long awaited G.I.Joe Classified Series figures, such as Doc, Torch, Tiger Force versions of Roadblock and Tripwire, Nightcreeper, Jinx, and Dreadnok Gnawgahyde, complete with a warthog and a macaque, happened throughout the day as the G.I.Joe license turned 60 (Only a few more years before retirement!) and brightened the day of countless toy collectors. A source reported to ToyFarce that those reveals ended up having terrible consequences, as productivity was ruined in several workplaces, multiple car accidents were reported all over the globe (do not "toy reveals and drive", please), and relationships became tense as significant others got jealous over their partner's excitement throughout the day. Cobra, who are known for their nefarious plans involving anything G.I.Joe, have denied replying to our requests, but is most certainly rejoicing over the chaos and mayhem inadvertently caused by G.I.Joes yesterday. Special thanks to our source, Wreckship_85, for the tip/suggestion! More news at 11:00... Yo, 60 years old Joe! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  5. Earlier this week, the Hasbro Star Wars team held the first Star Wars Fanstream of 2024 on Youtube, and revealed lots of great figures from the Retro Collection, the Vintage Collection and the Black Series lines. As is tradition, they've shown us a glimpse into the future by revealing a few items that are in their pipelines. This time, it was a bit different, as it seemed that the pipeline had been hijacked by a certain Mandalorian... ToyFarce investigated. The theme of the pipeline reveals seems to have been "Oops, all Mandalorian!", as several spots in the pipeline reveals were taken by variants, repaints and other newer versions of the Mandalorian himself, Din Djarin. An insider source explained to us that since people love 'Mando', they're gonna do as many as they can: Every time he visits a place or a planet, there will be a new figure of the Mandalorian, with the place or planet name next to it. The Mandalorian goes to the supermarket? BOOM! "The Vintage Collection The Mandalorian (supermarket)" is announced. (All jokes aside, it's kinda like why there is always a Roman Reigns or Spider-man on the shelves, you need the popular characters out so new people get into the line...) By the way, what's with all the "The"? Is the 'The' mandatory? "The Vintage Collection The Mandalorian" this, "The Black Series The Mandalorian" that... Does it feel the redundant, or is it just me? More news at 11:00... By the way, do yourself a favor and get that 'The Black Series The Mandalorian Glavis Ringworld' figure. It's THE BEST! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  6. "I think the Haslab P.K.E. meter will be the key to find the Plasma Series figures and bring them back!", said a Ghostbusters collector from Georgia. The Ghostbusters Plasma Series was (or is?) a line of 6" action figures from the Ghostbusters movies that collectors love, but that seem to be absent from the lineup of toys released to promote the upcoming Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movie. Could they be stuck in a Containment Unit at Hasbro's HQ? ToyFarce investigated... "For the new movie, we have a line of 5" figures with ghosts, an Ecto-1, an interactive Slimer figure, a Proton Blaster and re-issues of the Kenner Real Ghostbusters Fright Features figures." said the Ghostbusters fan. "Sadly, no Plasma Series... There are also Funko Pops, and some mystery mini figures from Hasbro. Now, those last ones are interesting, because they come in small Containment Unit packaging. Could it be a hint from Hasbro that they have a Containment Unit themselves, where they keep the defunct lines of toys? We've seen lines come back in the past...Could it be that they were being held in a Hasbro Containment Unit?" "Now, thanks to Haslab, we have a Proton Pack, and we'll soon get a P.K.E. Meter and Ghost Trap (which are all also 'Plasma Series', the plot thickens!). I think we should use them to try and find the Hasbro Containment Unit where the 6" figure line is being held, so that we can release them!" Hasbro denied the existence of a Containment Unit in their basement, but warned that turning off those machines would be extremely hazardous. More news at 11:00... "I can't believe we had to become Walter Pecks to get the Plasma Series back..." *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
