  2. "Forget it, Vindicator. You can send every mutant in Canada after me. I ain't comin' back!!"
  3. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has started to see its home release with digital downloads this weekend, and I couldn’t help notice that there are still quit a few characters from the movie that have yet to get any kind of action figure treatment for either 6” or 3 3/4”. So I have developed a list featuring 28 characters from the movie I hope to see action figures made of by Hasbro in the next year or so. If you have yet to see the movie, this list does contain SPOILERS. Young Leia (Jedi Training) Young Luke (Jedi Training) Spirit Luke and Leia Han Solo (Scruffy Looking Ben Solo Memory) Lando Calrissian (Passana Disguise) General Lando Calrissian Rey With Yellow Lightsaber Rejuvenated Emperor Palatine Klaud Millennium Falcon Gunner Wedge Antillies (Dennis Lawson) Kijimi Bartender (John Williams) This is a must have Boolio (Voiced By Mark Hamill) First Order Allegiant General Pryde Beaumont Kin (Dominic Monaghan) Lt. Connix (Billie Lourd Who Is Carrie Fisher's Daughter) Snap Wexley Star Destroyer Sith Gunner Sith Officer Sith Emperor Guard Kijimi Bar Alien 1 Kijimi Bar Alien 2 and 3 Ochi Aftab Ackbar Empress Rey Rise Of Skywalker Poe Dameron Rise Of Skywalker Finn Which characters do you want to see figures made of from the movie?
  4. Hasbro has sent word of changes being made to the Star Wars brand team including news that designer Mark Boudreaux will be retiring. For those not familiar, Mark has been working on Star Wars toys since the Kenner days. From those of us here at JI, we thank Mark for all his years working on the line and giving us many great toys including the original Kenner and the BMF Millennium Falcon. Here is a breakdown of all the changes being made to the team. - After 43 fantastic years creating some of the most iconic Star Wars toys and vehicles Mark Boudreaux will be retiring. His work has had a tangible impact on the Star Wars universe and been formative in creating the Hasbro Star Wars brand we know today. – Chris Reiff will be joining the Hasbro Star Wars design team as an Associate Principal Designer. With experience in the industry and extensive knowledge of the Star Wars galaxy, including working professionally on Star Wars for 25 years, Hasbro is thrilled to have someone of Chris’ caliber join the team. – Product Design Manager, Sam Smith will be moving off the Star Wars brand. After a successful tenure with Hasbro Star Wars, Sam will remain in the Hasbro family and lend his talents to a number of Hasbro action brands. – Vickie Stratford, Senior Director of Product Design, will continue her role as design lead on the brand.
  5. One of the things Hasbro talked about during the Power Rangers portion of their 2020 New York Toy Fair presentation, was the TMNT and Power Rangers crossover comic book series being done between Boom Studio and IDW. During the panel they showed images of what the four Turtles along with April will look like when they get their hands on a Morpher. They also showed the Rangers themselves and what they would look like without a Morpher. While there was no mention of toys based on this series to follow, we could see it maybe happening. While Playmates Toys remains the master toy license holder for TMNT, we have seen Nickelodeon allow other companies do TMNT figures in recent years. NECA has been doing a wide range of Turtle figures base on the old movies, video game and the original animated series. Then there were the recent Batman vs TMNT figures DC Collectibles did. Hasbro is likely considered a more direct competitor to Playmates Toys than those other smaller companies, so negotiating a deal to do a Power Rangers/TMNT crossover line might be a little more tricky to negotiate between all parties concerned, but you never know. Would you like to see someone release TMNT and Power Rangers mash-up figures? Let us know below in the COMMENTS SECTION below.
