  1. First revealed during NYCC, here's another look at the upcoming figures based on Star Wars: Resistance. Commander Pyre with blaster First Order Stormtrooper with blaster Kazuda Xiono with helmet and blaster Major Vonreg with blaster Synara San with helmet and blaster Torra Doza with hemet (alternate head) and blaster These figures are slated to be released in Spring 2019.
  2. Hasbro adds another Lando to their 6” Black Series line with this new Skiff Guard Disguise version from Return Of The Jedi. The packaging of course is the same as we’ve seen with the other figures in the line with the black window-box and red boarder. This figure is number 76 in the series and you get the multi-lingual bio on the back. For accessories you get a removable mask and one of those bladed staff weapons often saw Jabba’s men use in Return of the Jedi. The staff features a nice metalic looking finish and the mask seems pretty movie accurate. I will say the face cover seems a little small as you can clearly make out the face even when it’s on the figures head. The headsculpt on this figure is really nice looking even more like Billy Dee Williams than the one on the Empire Strikes Back version which wasn’t to bad in it’s own right. The outfit on the rest of the figure is also pretty movie accurate and the paint applications are solid with some nice wash on the brown portions to make it look like leather. The shoulder pads are made of a rubber material so they don’t limit the movement of the arms and the metalic silver chestplate is sculpted on the figure. You get two grip hands so he can hold the staff on either side. Articulation is the same as we’ve seen with previous figures with single hinged elbows and double hinged knees. No ab-crunch but you do get a waist swivel. While I would have rather seen Hasbro give us Lando in his General outfit from Return of the Jedi, I would say this is a solid figure overall and worth adding to the collection, especially if you are a Lando fan. This figure is available now and can be purchased at BigBadToyStore.com. Let us know what you think about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.

  4. The latest clone based character to join Hasbro's 6" Black Series line shares many similar characteristics in both the actual figure and in character background with that of Captain Rex. A popular character from the cartoons as opposed to movies this Clone Commander comes packaged in the same style as we see with all the Black Series line featuring the black and red window-box with the multi-lingual bio on the back. Since this figure is an exclusive there is no numbering on the side. The figure is a multi-store exclusive for Disney Store, Barnes & Noble, and Gamestop. For accessories you get two blaster pistols similar to the ones that came with the Rex figure and a removable helmet. The pistols will fit in working gun holsters found at the waist of the figure, again just like we saw with the Rex figure and the helmet has an articulated view finder which is a throwback to the Mandalorian armor. For the figure itself, I really like the headsculpt. One of the best Clone headsculpts Hasbro has done to date and the battle scare over the right eye looks nice. The paint apps are solid as well featuring some nice looking 5 o'clock shadow and the standard black clone hair. The Helmet which is made from a rubber material has some nice detailing as well with the wolf like markings and scratch marks that tells you Wolffe has definitely seen some action. The helmet is a tight fit on the head so I do recommend caution when taking it off and putting it back on. I worry that over time it might cause paint scratching on the head. The body appears to be a re-use of the one used on Rex with some slight modifications. You have what I think is a communication antenna on the left shoulder which is made from a thin rubber like material which bends easily. You have the standard clone armor shoulder pads with nice Wolf like markings that are cleanly painted on the figure. The wolf head on the right shoulder pad looks especially nice. The belt is the same one used on the Rex figure and you also have the soft-goods skirt like pieces which on wolf is solid black with a liter black trim. Wolffe's does seem a little shorter than the one featured on Rex.The legs, arms and hands all all re-used from the Rex figure and you have the white armor with a glossy looking grey throughout the figure which looks good. You also have dirt or scratch marks found throughout the figure, most noticeable on the fron torso section. On the figures back you have the same kind of square design with the holes like seen with Rex. Articulation is the same as the Rex figure which features both double-jointed elbows and knees. You have hinges on the hands and a torso joint that allows you to rotate there with a little bit of back and forth motion. The ankle joints are tight on this one but you do have the standard pivot motion. While Wolffe uses many of the same parts as Rex, the figure still comes off looking fairly unique which is nice. The background story on Wolffe is a pretty cool one as he is one of the Clones who managed to life into older age and was featured not only in the Clone Wars cartoon, but in the Rebels one as well. If you have the Black Series Captain Rex or just like Clones I think this one is a must have to add to your collection. Look for it on shelves now. Check out more images for the figure below and let us know what you think about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  5. Variety is reporting that sources have informed them that Robert Schwentke is in early talks to direct Paramount’s "G.I. Joe" spinoff, "Snake Eyes." The script is being penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos with Brian Goldner among those producing the feature based on the Hasbro toys. Both Paramount and Hasbro has been trying to work a new spin for the G.I. Joe movies, even turning to a writers’ room to form new ideas. Snake Eyes is a silent ninja commando who dresses in all black, never reveals his face, and doesn’t speak. He stands out among the military anti-terrorist group and quickly establishes himself as the most popular. He has a special relationship with Scarlett, the team’s one-time only female member, and sometimes carries out solo missions with his pet wolf, Timber. His archenemy is Storm Shadow, a ninja who is also his blood brother.
  6. Another shot of the PS4 Spider-Man,love this figure!
  7. 3.75 inch Star Wars The Vintage Collection Doctor Chelli Aphra. Chelli Lona Aphra was a human female archaeologist recruited by Darth Vader after the Battle of Yavin. Aphra, along with her assassin droid companions, 0-0-0 (Triple-Zero) and BT-1 (Beetee), fulfilled several missions for the Sith Lord before falling out of his favor.
  8. The Siege is on for Hasbro's new line of G1 pre-Earth based Transformers toys for 2019. When I first saw these in-hand during the San Diego and New York Comic Cons, I have to say I was pretty impressed overall. Getting our favorite Autobot and Decepticon characters in their per-Earth modes, similar to what we saw in the original first episode of the G1 cartoon was quit intriguing. That is how the new War for Cybertron: Siege line was described to me as though I am still not sure why most the Autobot's look like Earth based vehicles with rubber wheels. I believe Hasbro thought kids wouldn't want space like looking vehicles for their Autobots. The new Deluxe Hound figure is so far the only Siege toy I have picked up and overall I think it is a pretty solid toy making a nice tribute to the original G1 Hound toy. Like with the original Hound, this one still transforms from robot to army jeep. Even the headsculpt is in pretty good keeping with that of the original, and I like the little details like the army stars on his shoulders and mid-section. You get a rifle, rocket launcher and spare tire all of which can be used individually or combined to form a single weapon. The packaging is pretty similar to the previous Generations with the window box. The big difference is you have the Siege logo at the bottom. You get some nice artwork on the side and a look at the toy and it's features on the back. The transformation process from robot to vehicle is not quit as simple as I was expecting, but not super difficult either. Some of the instructions aren't super clear so I had to play around with it a little the first time transforming him. I am by no means an expert at transforming these things but it only took me about 5 minutes to figure things out the first time. Articulation in robot mode is pretty basic and it is a little difficult to get him in any kind of two handed rifle holding poses due to single hinged like elbows and such a wide torso area. Still I had fun with him posing him around. The wheels role pretty good in vehicle mode and he actually looks like a jeep which is nice. Scale wise I am sure he will fit in nicely with the other Siege Transformers toys, but I was hoping he would be a little taller so he would fit in better with my Masterpiece toys. At the end of the day, if you are a G1 fan who has been waiting for a modern solid Hound figure, I think this one will be worth you checking out. The wave with this figure has started to see release. You can purchase this figure now at Megalopolis.Toys. Check out more images for the figure below and let us know what you think about it in the COMMENTS SECTION below.
  9. Hasbro Star Wars Design Director Steve Evens , who recently revealed a number of new products at this years conventions, announces he will be taking a new role at the company, as Creative Director, Consumer Products .
  10. The Mimban Stormtrooper which, lets be honest is basically just a dirty stormtrooper with a cape was another character that had very limited screen time in the Solo: A Star Wars story that has been made into a 6" Black Series figure from Hasbro. The figure is a Walmart exclusive so the packaging is a little different from general release figures in the line with it's beige color boarder on the side as opposed to red and their is no numbering on it. The figure comes with a standard issue Imperial blaster for an accessory that is a little tight when you try and put it in the working gun holster. The figure also comes with a black soft-goods cape that has some dirt on the outer side of it, but compared to the rest of the figure seems a bit to clean looking. For the figure itself, as I mentioned before this is just a regular looking storm trooper with a lot of dirt on it. The figure gets dirtier as you move down it with super muddy looking legs. The helmet on the figure is a little different looking that the regular Black Series Stormtroopers with minor differences like the black line over the nose looking smaller. Articulation is very much on par with previous Stormtrooper figures as is the scale. At the end-of-the-day if you like collecting Stormtrooper figures then this is one to get. The extreme mud on it makes it unique enough that its worth getting even if you have plenty of previous Stormtrooper figures. The figure is out now though at this point you may need to resort to secondary markets if you really want any chances of grabbing it, as Walmart has not seemingly done a good job of keeping it in stock online or at physical stores. Check out more images of the figure below and let us know what you think about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  11. Probably the best Captain Cassian figure made and it’s a 3.75 inch figure.
  12. Vintage Collection Luke Sky walker, such a awesome representation of Luke in 3.75 inch scale!

  15. If you are looking for another cool variant Stormtrooper figure to add to your collection then you might want to check out this new 6" Star Wars: The Black Series Imperial Patrol Trooper figure from Hasbro which is based on another character from Solo: A Star Wars Story. The figure features the same kind of window-box packaging we see with all the Black Series figures with the black and red box and the character bio on the back. This is figure number 72 in the line. The figure comes with a blaster pistol that looks very similar to the ones used by the Biker Scouts from Return of the Jedi. The figure also comes with what looks to be some kind of mini-night stick. These guys I guess are supposed to be the police officers of the Imperial government. Both the blaster and the stick will fit on the figures utility belt and can be held in either hands. The figure sports an armor that like the blaster shares traits of the Biker Scout. In fact these guys are listed as using Speeder Bikes for their patrols. The helmet looks more like a regular Stormtrooper than a Biker Scout though. The paint applications are basic with white and black plastic. I do have a little black mark on the white portion of the armor at the right hand. Articulation is pretty standard for a Black Series figure featuring single-hinged swivel elbows and double-hinged knees. There is a mid-section joint for swivel but don't expect much in the way of an ab-crunch. The scale is good, standing about the same height as the Black Series Biker Scout figure. It fits in nicely with the other Solo: A Star Wars Story figures. The figure is a good representation of the Patrol Trooper which I think maybe had 5 seconds of screen time in the movie but it's still a cool looking character, basically being a mash-up of the Stormtrooper and Biker Scout. If you like variant Stormtrooper figures then this is one you will want to get, assuming you can find it on shelves. You can pre-order this figure now our sponsor Megalopolis.Toys. Check out more images for the figure and let us know what you think about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  16. Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors premiered during the weekend of New York Comic Con 2018. The show is a continuation of the six Marvel Rising: Initiation animated shorts that launched this summer. The show features Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Patriot, Quake, Inferno, America Chavez, and more. The show is now the Disney Channel and Disney XD. "When a threat no one could have expected bears down on the Marvel Universe, this ragtag, untrained band of teens have no choice but to rise together and prove to the world that sometimes the difference between a 'hero' and 'misfit' is just in the name." Secret Warriors focuses on a new team of diverse younger heroes. It introduces some of the lesser known characters within the Marvel Universe to a larger audience. Of course with great writing and animation comes great marketable products! In comes Hasbro! Hasbro has launched a full line of Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors figures, accessories, and costumes. My five year old daughter actually schooled me on the animated and some of the products. She even almost changed her Halloween costume to one of the new Ghost-Spider costumes. Recently Hasbro Pulse sent over a very cool box filled with Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors products. As the Holiday season approaches I’d definitely recommend these for any children who love Superheroes or Barbie style figures. Hasbro has released a basic (Training Outfit) assortment with limited articulation; Secret Warriors assortment with more articulation and accessories; Secret Identity assortment with more articulation, accessories and outfits; Ghost-Spider Web Slinger; Marvel Rising Dress Up Sets; and Walkie Talkies. Products ranging from $12.99 to $29.99. The show and the products focus heavily on strong female characters as well as a good mixture of minority characters. My daughter loves Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel but equally loves Ghost-Spider (or as I know her in the comics as Spider-Gwen) and Squirrel Girl. Being the father of a smart 5 year old girl, I definitely believe in strong positive female characters and I love to see characters that she can relate to. One character I’m excited to see is Riri Williams’s Ironheart introduced into the series and look forward to seeing a figure of the character. Check out my video reviews and image gallery below. https://youtu.be/ZkdDIcE5RPU
  17. Los Angeles-based Kilburn Live has entered into a licensing agreement with Hasbro, a global play and entertainment company, to create, build and operate Hasbro-themed family entertainment centers across the US and Canada. The indoor family entertainment facilities will take iconic Hasbro brands and create interactive, immersive and innovative entertainment experiences in a high-energy, gamified environment with multiple activity zones. Kilburn Live, in partnership with Fort Worth-based private investment company Goff Capital, a substantial shareholder of Kilburn Live, hired Charlie Keegan, former CEO of Main Event Entertainment, to head the new division that will lead the development of the multiple location rollout across North America. “Hasbro is a leader in branded play and entertainment, and its iconic brands appeal to a multigenerational fan base.” said Charlie Keegan. John Goff, of Goff Capital, added, “As with everything we do at Goff Capital, we aim to partner with the best and bring in the most qualified people to run our businesses. Hasbro is the world’s largest toy company and hiring Charlie, an experienced industry leader in the location based entertainment space, was a coup.” "This new concept and collaboration marks our initial step into a wider partnership with Hasbro, a world leading branded play and entertainment company, with one of the best lineup of brands we have come across” said Kilburn Media CEO Mark Manuel. “This exciting new move is an extension of our creative skillsets built over the years and expands on our business of creating and building unique experiences." Current licensed brands include well-known franchises including MY LITTLE PONY, MONOPOLY, MR. POTATO HEAD, GI JOE, CLUE, BATTLESHIP, HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPO, TRIVIAL PURSUIT, CHUTES AND LADDERS and others. As Hasbro consumers are looking for more ways to engage with its brands that are loved by adults and kids alike, Hasbro believes that this new endeavor will exceed their expectations. "Hasbro is committed to ‘creating the world's best play experiences.’ In our 95-year history, Hasbro has transcended the toy aisle to become a lifestyle brand that both kids and adults enjoy,” said Casey Collins, SVP & GM Hasbro Consumer Products. “Our partnership with Kilburn will allow us - for the first time ever - to offer a wholly immersive and true play experience that unlocks a totally new and exciting way for fans to experience the Hasbro family of brands.”
  18. Hasbro continues to provide us figures based on Solo: A Star Wars Story for their 6" Black Series line with Rio Durant and Val (Vandor-1), both of which are members of Beckett's original crew. Both figures come packaged in the standard Black series style of window box with the black and red colors featuring a multilingual bio for the characters on the back. For accessories Val comes with a blaster similar to what you see her use in the movie and Durant comes with a pistol, rifle and removable googles. He also has a working gun holster for the pistol. For the figures themselves, I think Hasbro has done a wonderful job capturing the likeness of both characters. Val's headsculpt looks dead on to actress Thandie Newton who played the character in the movie and the paint applications are as good as any i've seen on a Black Series figure. The outfit she wears is nicely detailed and I really like how the translucent tubing on her upper body and arms look. She has a pair of goggles sculpted around her neck but they aren't useable. Other nice details on the figure include the sculpted fur around her neck that goes down the zipper-line of her jacket and the harness pieces that attach from her belt and go around here legs. She has some tails from the coat made with a rubber vinyl like material that go down her backside to her knees. As good as Val is, I think Durant is who was voiced by Jon Favreau in the movie is the cooler of the two figures. His headsculpt is also nicely sculpted capturing the alien look quit nicely. Besides the removable goggles with the red lenses, he also has a communication mouth piece which you can remove from his ear. It attaches at the figures waist so it's not really removable from the figure itself. Durant features four arms all of which are articulated and work fairly well with the figure. You can get him in multiple poses with the weapons he comes with which is nice. The jump suit he wears appears to be very movie accurate and I like the sculpting of his alien shaped feet. I think Durant is so cool in large part because he is such a unique looking character with the multiple arms and everything. Articulation is basic on both figures, both featuring single-hinged elbows. Val has double hinged knees while Durant only has single-hinged ones due to being a smaller character. Despite having four arms, Durant also has some midsection articulation with rotation. This is because the extra pair of arms are sculpted on the shoulders that stick out in the back. The scale seems to be decent when you compare these two with the other 6" Solo figures Hasbro has already released, so no complaints there. At the end of the day especially if you are a fan of the Solo movie and in Durant's case if you like unique looking alien figures, I think you will want to add these figures to your collection. Both figures have started to see release. You can get them at our sponsor Megalopolis.Toys. See more images for both figures below and let us know what you think about them in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  19. Dengar is another great addition to my bounty hunter group.Hasbro is doing such a great job on these vintage characters!
  20. I really dig this Marvel Legends version of Lady Deadpool, I have the Marvel Select version but this one is way better as far as articulation goes.
  21. This is a great figure! Hasbro stepping it up with this head sculpt!

  23. Hasbro has taken an obscure character that appeared in a movie largely panned by fans and critics and given us a fairly solid figure with this new Target exclusive 6" Black Series Moloch figure. Moloch was a character that had maybe 5 minutes of screen time in this years Solo: A Star Wars story and while I can't say this was a figure I was dying for, once in hand I have to admit it is a pretty cool figure. The packaging is the same as any other Black Series figure. The black window-box with red highlights featuring a bio on the back in multiple languages. For accessories you get a staff, pistol that fits in a working holster and removable faceplate to protect him from sunlight when he goes outside. The staff has a little bit of white paint at the end but basically looks like brown plastic. The pistol has a unique design with a metallic paint for most of the weapon. The handle looks like brown plastic. The faceplate features a cream and metallic paint that matches up nicely with the rest of the figure. I like how the face plate fits in the mask and I like how the mask itself on the figure has some articulation where the jaw portion pulls down. For the figure itself, I really like the sculpting and paint details on the headsculpt featured inside the helmet. I think Hasbro did a really nice job. The rest of the figure is draped in a robe like outfit which looks nicely detailed. You have an outer coat that is removable and while the sleeves of the coat are sculpted they match up pretty good with the outfit under the coat. Articulation is pretty basic. You get single-hinged elbows they do swivel and a waist swivel, but the lower portion of the figure is one solid piece of plastic making more a base than actual legs. This does make the figure stable so its not following over and also gives the figure a pretty hefty weight. The head does not move at all but you can have him bend forward or back at the waist area. The hands are gloved and the right hand is sculpted with a trigger finger for the blaster and the left one is a grip hand for the staff. You can put the staff and the pistol in either hand though. The belt on the figure is a separate piece but not removable. The brown harness on the chest is sculpted and then their is rope type thing that goes across the chest as well which is a separate piece attached to the figure. While the figure doesn't have a wide range of movement, I think Hasbro did a good job capturing the likeness of the character. It would be cool if Hasbro ended up doing Moloch's boss in 6" form but I don't really see that happening. This figure is sold as a Target exclusive which is available now and retails for $24.99. DPCI # is 087-16-0134. Check out more images for this figure below in our GALLERY!
