The Hollywood Reporter has learned that HBO is in early development for a live-action spinoff series centered on the Game Of Thrones character Jon Snow. Kit Harington is attached to reprise the role should a series move forward. In the final season of Game Of Thrones, Snow discovered his true name was Aegon Targaryen, a potential heir to the Iron Throne but was exiled from Westeros and journeyed North of the Wall with the Wildlings to leave his old life behind.- 7 replies

HBO has given a series order to the drama series A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS: THE HEDGE KNIGHT, it was announced today exclusively during Warner Bros. Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming service on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles. The “Game of Thrones” prequel series will be written and executive produced by George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker. Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis will also executive produce. A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends. George R.R. Martin will serve as writer/executive producer, Ira Parker will serve as writer/executive producer. Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis will serve as executive producers.

HBO has released the first official images from the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. The images feature series stars Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans and Steve Toussaint. House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as The Sea Snake and Fabien Frankel, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno. Based on Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series, which is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. Considine plays King Viserys Targaryen, Cooke stars as Alicent Hightower, D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen and Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, known as the Sea Snake, who becomes Hand to Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons. House of the Dragon was co-created by Martin and Condal. The pilot script that landed the series order was written by Condal. He serves as co-showrunner alongside GoT veteran Miguel Sapochnik, who will direct the pilot and additional episodes. Martin, Condal and Sapochnik executive produce alongside writer Sara Lee Hess, Vince Gerardis and Ron Schmidt. Greg Yaitanes co-executive produces. Yaitanes, Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel round out the 10-episode series’ directing team.

HBO has decided not to move forward on the Game of Thrones prequel written by Jane Goldman and George R. R. Martin and starring Naomi Watts. The prequel takes place thousands of years before the wars, romances and dragons of the eight-season run. Weaving in issues of race, power, intrigue and White Walkers, the Goldman-run prequel was given the pilot green light back in June 2018. The pilot that was directed by S.J. Clarkson went through a lengthy post-production, which included re-editing of the initial cut after it was not well received, and rumors about issues during filming in Northern Ireland. According to TVLine, HBO will move forward with another Game of Thrones prequel project that would trace the glory days of House Targaryen. The project has earned an official pilot order at HBO and is co-created by GoT book author George R.R. Martin and Colony creator Ryan J. Condal, and is set 300 years before the original Thrones series, chronicling “the beginning of the end for House Targaryen.” Martin’s companion book Fire & Blood serves as a template for the new series. This pilot is a reworking of the rejected spinoff concept from Game of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman.

Game of Thrones is looking to return to the San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H in July for a final celebration of the Emmy-winning series’. Deadline is reporting that HBO and Comic-Con organizers are in the final stages of planning for the event, but no past or present cast members have been announced on who will be attending. Game of Thrones has not attended the San Diego Comic-Con since 2017 as the eighth and final season kept the production from the comic-con last year. Now with the series final episode aired on May 19th, the cast will be able to speak freely about who lived and who died and what they liked and didn't like about the show.

Under the Night King, Viserion would blast away the Wall in Eastside with his now blue flame, allowing the Army of the Dead to enter the Seven Kingdoms.
