I am finally pulling the trigger and having the the mold removed from ceiling and rug in my basement. Unfortunately my basement also houses my toy collection. It will be a herculean effort just to moving everything. To make things even worse I have been told that since black mold consists of spores I will need to clean each individual item. I asked the company that I am contracting with what they would use to do this and was told "to try to hepa-vac your contents to remove as much mold as possible prior to moving them. You should make sure that you use a respirator. Most of your contents are porous and so they are difficult to clean. You can try using Tide for any textiles and Dawn Dish Soap for other items. We would suggest a 50%bleach/50%water mixture for any items that are bleach safe but this would probably not be good for collectibles." I can't imagine that bleach would work with Fabric collectibles without staining them. Also I am not sure if hepa-vac 3 inch figures or statues is the best way to clean them. I was curious if anyone else has had to go through this and what they had used to clean, or decontaminate, plastic, fabric and cardboard. Any suggestions would be most welcomed. Thanks, Capt. OCD

I decided to get back into MOTUC recently after not collecting since 2011 by just grabbing a few figures that I had sold. I grabbed a Battleground Teela off Amazon, and it was one of the first to come in, I noticed it's limbs were super soft. Like her elbows were so soft to the point where I could completely twist them. I already asked the seller for a replacement and they shipped it out quickly, received it today, and it's not as bad, but her elbows in particular are still so super soft I'm almost concerned they'll pop off the pegs with more movement. The figure did feel really heated, like I could tell it was in storage for a long time. I've tossed it in the freezer to get the freezer trick out of the way and I'll let it air dry over night. I don't remember it's limbs being so soft, and Galactic Protector She-Ra arrived at the same time and it's limbs are pretty solid. I was wondering if there anyway to deal with these kinds of limbs to make them stiff again instead of being so 'gummy'? I've noticed this issue on some Marvel Legends figures too.
