  1. For decades, Bruce Lee has fascinated the world with his groundbreaking martial arts style, philosophical outlook and his on-screen charisma. Now, Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC, is partnering with his family to produce a line of collectibles that will pay tribute to the man and his legacy. Scheduled for release starting in 2019, DST has planned a line of products that depict the legend at various stages in his life, in some of his most iconic looks. Categories will include Select action figures, Gallery PVC dioramas, Vinimates vinyl figures, Minimates mini-figures, D-Formz vinyl figures, resin busts and statues. The first item to be offered will be a Gallery PVC diorama depicting him in action, executing one of his trademark forms. “Being given the opportunity to work with the Lee family is truly an honor,” said DST president Chuck Terceira. “Bruce Lee is one of the biggest icons of the 20th – and 21st – century, so I look forward to being able to help bring the spirit and memory of Bruce into the homes of fans everywhere. Lots of designwork and discussion have gone into making our offerings unlike any Bruce Lee products that have been seen before.“ Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC, is a mid-sized company dedicated to creating pop-culture items for collectors of all ages.   3. For 22 years, the world of Castlevania has enthralled video game enthusiasts with its adventure-oriented take on the Dracula mythos. Then, in 2017, an animated series based on that world debuted on Netflix, receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception from old and new fans alike. With a second season bowing on October 26, Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC, is honored to have been selected as the master toy licensee for the series, with multiple collectible lines planned. Beginning in 2019, DST will offer products in a number of different categories, including Select action figures, Gallery PVC dioramas, Vinimates vinyl figures, Minimates mini-figures, resin statues and more. Products will be offered at multiple major retail chains, as well as through independent comic book shops via Diamond Comic Distributors. “The Castlevania franchise has a rich, deep history, and the new animated series takes all of it to a new, vibrant, visually superb level,” said Diamond Select Toys president Chuck Terceira. “I’m personally a fan of the show, and I can’t wait to help execute some of its amazing character designs in 3-D.” Based on the game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, the Netflix series follows Trevor Belmont as he and other vampire hunters defend the nation of Wallachia from the demonic forces of a vengeful Count Dracula. he Castlevania. It was written by Warren Ellis, writer of a number of acclaimed comic books, including Transmetropolitan, Planetary, The Authority, Global Frequency, Astonishing X-Men and Red, as well as the video games Dead Space, Cold Winter and Hostile Waters. Animation for the anime-influenced series is by Powerhouse Animation Studios.   5. A Diamond Select Toys release! How deadly is your Gallery? The DC Gallery line of PVC dioramas accelerates with another addition to the Dark Nights: Metal series of sculptures - Red Death! With bat-shaped speed lightning whipping around him as he screeches to a halt, this Speed Force-empowered Batman is the perfect addition to any Batman or Flash collection! The 10-inch diorama features detailed paint applications and comes packaged in a full-color window box. Designed by Caesar and sculpted by Alterton! Look for this to be released in March 2019.
  6. The first Predator Minimates box set has been revealed by Diamond Select Toys. The figures included in the set will be Casey Bracket, Quinn McKenna, Rory McKenna and Fugitive Predator. Look for it to be released coming this winter to a comic shop near you.
  7. A Diamond Select Toys release! The toy line everyone's waited for is finally here! Since J.J. Abrams debuted his new Star Trek universe (the "Kelvin Timeline") in 2009, fans have asked for a screen-accurate, 7" scale, fully articulated line of toys. Now, DST has brought the new timeline to the world of Select action figures! These screen-accurate figures of Kirk and Spock capture the costumes and faces of the new movies, and each features approximately 16 points of articulation, as well as multiple accessories and connecting transporter pads. New York Comic-Con is approaching, and Diamond Select Toys is prepping a massive presence at the show, with cases of advance prototypes, shelves of products for sale, a panel, two signings and an exclusive! Read on for details, and come see us at booth 1644! Starting Thursday, Oct. 4, DST will offer an exclusive Minimate of the Battle Beast Desmodius, a fearsome black bat armed with a sword and glaive. Measuring approximately 2 inches tall, and featuring 14 points of articulation, it is fully interchangeable with all Minimates mini-figures. It will come packaged in a clear polybag with hangtag, and sell for $6. DST’s panel and signings will happen on Saturday, Oct. 6, and feature designers Nelson X. Asencio (Marvel Gallery, Milestones, Premier) and Caesar (Marvel Gallery, DC Gallery), and sculptors Eli Livingston (Alien, Predator, Cthulhu) and Jean St. Jean (Classic Batman, Marvel Select, Premier). DST President Chuck Terceira will also be on hand for the panel from 12:00-1:00 in Room 1C03. Following the panel, the designer signing will run from 1:30 to 2:30, and the sculptor signing will happen from 2:30 to 3:30, both at booth 1644. There will be free postcards on hand for them to sign, but fans are welcome to bring their own items, as well as purchase items in the DST store. See you in New York!

One of the Muppet Show's most iconic Muppets, Electric Mayhem drummer Animal, is the first felt fellow to be made into a half-scale bust in the Legends in 3D line! Standing approximately 10 inches tall, this resin bust of Animal was sculpted by Rocco Tartamella from a design by Joe Allard. Limited to only 1,000 pieces, each bust comes packaged with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a full-color, hand-numbered box. Look for it to be released in March 2019.

Deadline is reporting that Jim Carrey is negotiating to star in the Paramount film in the role of Robotnik, a villain in the live action/CGI adaptation of the hit Sega video game, Sonic The Hedgehog. The project also stars James Marsden and Tika Sumpter and is directed by Jeff Fowler. Neal Moritz, Mie Onishi and Tim Miller are producers. Pat Casey & Josh Miller wrote the script. The movie is based on the game where Sonic must stop Dr. Eggman from completing his plans for world domination is basically the gist of this one.
