Young Justice: Outsiders is produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday) and Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels, Gargoyles) serve as producers. Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) is executive producer.
  3. If I were a betting man, I’d bet you were guessing I would unleash holy hell on the ‘Titans’ Season Finale episode... But, y’know what? To my surprise, no! No rant was necessary! It was actually, dare I say, good. ? EDIT: So, I’m just a fair mite peeved... After having watched what I thought was the entirety of the ‘Titans’ season finale, and then doing a video discussion of it, I come to learn that it contained a post credits scene that I entirely missed out on, as I always click off as soon as the credits roll. The scene in question features Superboy and Krypto, apparently escaping from Cadmus. And boy-oh-boy, I really kinda wish I’d have seen it in the first place, so as to have been able to mention it in my finale review video.
  4. Herein discussing episode 9 of the DC Universe ‘Titans’ series, entitled, ‘Hank and Dawn’... And man, when an episode of this show is written this good, it begs the question, why isn’t the rest of the series? Especially as it relates to the alleged main cast of characters. The origins of Hawk and Dove, though? Damn, that was some — surprisingly — good stuff.
  5. In the season finale, Trigon’s powers send Dick into a dreamscape that begins with him living a happy domestic life, but soon takes him into a dark journey back to Gotham. Release: December 21st, 2018
  6. Lou Ferrigno Jr. and Brian Stapf have both signed on to DC Universe's upcoming Stargirl for recurring roles of Hourman and Wildcat. Hourman is known as Rex Tyler, a master chemist and adrenaline junkie who as Hourman is a thrill-seeking superhero with the ability to manifest super-strength… for one hour a day. A founding member of the Justice Society of America, Rex/Hourman struggles with balancing his life as a hero and father. Wildcat is known as Ted Grant, this founding member of the Justice Society of America introduced in 1964 was previously updated into Star City gym owner and ex-vigilante Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez) who taught Laurel (Katie Cassidy) how to fight on Arrow. Stargirl's Golden Age version of Grant's clawed and cowled Wildcat is also a former heavyweight boxer and in all likelihood, will be just as indispensable to the titular heroine. “Stargirl” centers on Courteney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger), a high school sophomore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The series comes from executive producers Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter, based on DC comic book characters created by Geoff Johns. Johns, who launched his comic book career when he created the character of Stargirl in 1999, inspired by his late sister, is also set to write the premiere episode. Johns will also serve as showrunner. “Stargirl” is produced by Berlanti Prods. and Mad Ghost Prods. in association with Warner Bros. Television.
  7. Ian Ziering has joined the cast of Swamp Thing in a recurring guest star as DC character Blue Devil, a stuntman turned hero who fights occult evil. The Warners series described the character as “Stuntman turned movie star, Daniel Cassidy became semi-famous after playing the demonic Blue Devil. But now, eight years later, Cassidy finds himself living out his days in frustration, pining for his former fame while on a collision course with destiny.” The DC Universe series, now in production, stars Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane, a young woman who investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. The DC Universe series being exec produced by James Wan along with Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear and Len Wiseman. The show is based on DC characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. Source: THR
  8. The latest episode of ‘Titans’ — and more pointedly, the Season Finale Trailer — made me angry... Like, angrier than I’ve been in a while. So, this week’s discussion is very much a rant, instead of a full on review. Posted with a thorough Language Warning.
  9. As Kory’s memories come flooding back, she discovers her mission has never been to protect Rachel – but something much more dangerous. Struggling to understand why, Dick and Donna are shocked to discover that Kory is an alien who reveals Rachel’s frightening origins. But just as they learn the identity of Rachel’s father – and how dangerous he can be – Angela convinces Rachel to use her abilities to summon him. Release: December 14th, 2018
  10. Variety is reporting that Joel McHale has been cast in a recurring role as Sylvester Pemberton, known as the "Golden Age Starman" on the upcoming DC Universe series "Stargirl." The character is known as a courageous and confident superhero, Starman is a member of the Justice Society of America. He wields a mysterious anti-gravity weapon called the cosmic staff and has a longtime sidekick named Stripesy, who is better known as Courtney Whitmore’s stepfather, Pat Dugan. Television.
  11. Much as I anticipated, whenever they bring in a background DC Comics character, (background in that, they’re not part of the main cast), that character is served so much better than the titular Titans... As such, Donna Troy was an absolute delight, in this episode. To hear more of my thoughts about it, please check out the video — and be sure to share your thoughts on it below!
  12. Herein discussing the overly monochromatic, dark and edgy seventh episode of the DC Universe ‘Titans’ series, which gets pretty damned abysmal, if I do say so myself. But, it is what it is. Take a look — and be sure to share your thoughts on the episode and series as a whole!
  13. Herein discussing episodes 5 & 6 of the DC Universe ‘Titans’ series, ‘Together’ and ‘Jason Todd’... The problems I’ve noted previously still persist. But, to my surprise, sometimes they actually manage to get things relatively spot on. What does that say for the overall mismanagement of the series’ titular characters? To tell the truth, I’m not really sure.
  14. Herein discussing episode 4 of the DC Universe ‘Titans’ series, entitled ‘Doom Patrol’... Annnd man, it was certainly a great Doom Patrol episode, at the very least. Take a look, and be sure to tell me what you thought of it!
  15. Herein discussing episode 3 of the DC Universe series, ‘Titans’, entitled, ‘Origins’. And let me just say, as someone who wasn’t much of a fan of the first two episodes, this one was a thorough surprise. Take a look!
  16. DC Universe unveiled a new promotional poster and four new character-based trailers for their upcoming original series featuring Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy. The premiere of Titans is October 12th, exclusively on DC Universe.
  17. Herein discussing my thoughts on episode 2 of DC Universe’s brand new ‘Titans’ series... If you’ve seen my episode 1 discussion, you might not be surprised that the question on my mind going into this one was, ‘Could it get any better, or would it only get much worse?’ And, I definitely answer that question, in this review!
  18. Herein discussing the premiere episode of DC Universe’s brand new ‘Titans’ series... Did I love it, did I hate it? If you’ve got close to 20 minutes to spare, you’ll find out by watching this review. ?
  19. DC UNIVERSE surprised fans tonight with a pair of announcements during the world premiere screening of Warner Bros. Television's highly anticipated action-drama Titans at New York Comic Con (NYCC). At the world premiere of Titans, held in conjunction with New York Comic-Con, DC UNIVERSE unveiled a new trailer for the much anticipated live-action original produced by Warner Bros. Television. Titans follows a team of young heroes as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Ahead of the season one debut of Titans on October 12, the live-action show has been picked up for a second season exclusively on the all new DC UNIVERSE digital subscription service. DC UNIVERSE also revealed a sneak peek of the upcoming animated series Harley Quinn (2019) featuring Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory) who will voice the lead role. The adult animated comedy series follows Harley’s adventures, where alongside ragtag crew of DC castoffs, she tries to earn a seat at the biggest table in villainy: the Legion of the Doom. The strong voice cast for Harley Quinn also includes comedic talents such as Lake Bell (In a World…, Wet Hot American Summer series, Childrens Hospital), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Ron Funches (Powerless), JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Natalie Morales (Bojack Horseman), Jim Rash (Mike Tyson Mysteries), Diedrich Bader (Veep), Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Veep), Chris Meloni (Happy!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit). Additionally, Brendan Fraser (Crash, The Mummy), who will voice Robotman, announced that Matt Bomer (White Collar, American Horror Story) has been cast as Larry Trainor/Negative Man in Doom Patrol (2019). The upcoming live-action spinoff is a reimagining of one of DC’s strangest group of outcasts led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder. These announcements expand the impressive list of talent signing on to DC UNIVERSE originals, including Joivan Wade (Doctor Who, The First Purge) as Cyborg in Doom Patrol and Jennifer Beals (Flashdance, Taken, The L Word) as Sheriff Lucilia Cable in Swamp Thing. “This is just the beginning of our journey to open up the world of DC for our fans,” said Craig Hunegs, President, Warner Bros. Digital Networks. “With new originals, digital comics, and a growing community forum, we’re delivering an immersive experience that blends page and screen, creating a place where fans can share their passions for their favorite superheroes and storylines like never before. With our first original series, Titans, debuting this month we are truly offering an exclusive experience fans have always clamored for.”
  20. Warner Bros. Television has announced that actress Jennifer Beals will be joining the cast of Swamp Thing as Sheriff Lucilia Cable. The character of Cable is an original character created for the series and is described as tough as nails and pragmatic. She has a fierce devotion to her son, Matt, is rivaled only by her sworn duty to serve and protect the town of Marais. As the community she has dedicated her life to defending is beset by strange forces, Lucilia must double down in her efforts to safeguard everyone she holds dear.
  21. 22. In DC Universe's Titans, the original Robin, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) is trying to strike out on his own and away from Batman's shadow when he comes face to face with his replacement, Jason Todd (Curran Walters). IGN has revealed two new images from the series with this confrontation and Titans showrunner Greg Walker talks about the meeting between the two. "What I really love about [Jason] as a character is the unbridled sense of self that he has - there’s a lack of... maybe self-awareness, but for sure self-consciousness in terms of how he comports himself and how he moves through the world," Walker explained. "He’s completely seemingly unaffected by darkness - he kind of embraces it or walks right through it. He’s a breath of fresh air and that’s what I love about him, he’s got a punk rock, no-holds-barred attitude that’s massively unburdened. There’s a lot of energy that comes with that." For Dick, that attitude probably adds insult to injury, which may be what contributes to the apparent antagonism between the two in our photos. "It’s kind of like one of those classic covers of the books, original versus number 2, and in many ways, you really see that [in the photos]. This encapsulates the tension, the energy between these two guys. It's like running into your ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, minus the sexual tension," Walker laughed. "You get to watch Dick Grayson struggle when he sees another Robin and how that Robin is different and has a different relationship with 'dad.' And the second child gets away with stuff the first child would never get away with in a family, and ours is really a family show."

  24. DC Entertainment has released the first official trailer for "Titans," the upcoming streaming superhero series, which offers a gritty and darker take on the Teen Titans franchise. The ten-episode action series, which will launch exclusively on DC's new subscription-based streaming service DC Universe, will primarily tell how former sidekick superhero, Robin, became his own boss, forming his own superhero team that mostly consists of young super-powered misfits. Executive produced by mega TV producer Greg Berlanti, Oscar-winning screenwriter/producer Akiva Goldsman and acclaimed comic book writer Geoff Johns, "Titans" will be the flagship show and the starting point (much like Arrow on the CW) that will launch other spin-off superhero shows. In fact, DC's Doom Patrol is already in the works, and will be introduced on "Titans." Titans stars Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Lindsey Gort, Seamus Dever, Bruno Bichir Release: 2018/2019 (DC Universe)
  25. The 2019 slate of animated DC Universe movies were announced by DC with the first movie being The Death of Superman, which world premieres this week. The second part with the previously announced two-part adaptation, Reign of the Supermen. In the spring 2019, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, followed by Batman: Hush is being released as the third movie in the summer 2019. As an additional release, there will be a fourth movie consisting of Wonder Woman taking center stage in an original animated movie called Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. Batman: Hush was debuted by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee for a 12-part Batman storyline in the pages of BATMAN #608. The story’s title was “Hush,” and the simple name belied a surprisingly complex story that would feature much of the Dark Knight’s popular rogues’ gallery, hint at the eventual return of the once dead Jason Todd, introduce Bruce Wayne’s childhood friend Tommy Elliot and bring the romantic undertones of Batman’s relationship with Catwoman to the forefront for the first time. Hush will find the series returning to the present day and set in a much more familiar Gotham City. The comic storyline featured popular Bat baddies like Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul and the Joker, but it’s also well known for introducing the villain it’s named after—the bandage-faced Hush. The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen focus on what happens after Superman’s death and introduces such as Steel, Cyborg Superman and Conner Kent. Justice League vs. The Fatal Five will be an original story composed of supercriminals Tharok, Emerald Empress, Validus, Mano and the Persuader introduced in 1967 and are more commonly associated with the Legion of Super-Heroes.
