  1. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today released a new Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay trailer showcasing the addition of The Joker. Unpredictable, violent and incredibly dangerous, The Joker is chaos personified. The infamous clown has terrorized the streets of Gotham City and targeted Batman’s closest allies. Now, he’s the latest Kombatant set to join the Mortal Kombat 11 roster on Jan. 28 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners. Kombat Pack owners will also have access to new DC-themed character skins on Jan. 28, including “Time Lord of Apokolips” Geras and the DC Elseworlds Skin Pack featuring the menacing “Darkest Knight” Noob Saibot, reptilian “Killer Kroc” Baraka and sleek “Katwoman of Outworld” Kitana. Additionally, all Mortal Kombat 11 owners can earn new rewards via a Tower event within the Towers of Time mode celebrating the Chinese New Year, coming Jan. 23-27 as a free content update. The in-game event will feature a three-fight endurance match with celebratory modifiers including a Ceremonial Drum, Chinese Lanters and Firecrackers, Red Envelopes, Rats (representing the “Year of the Rat”) and the symbolic Chinese Dragon and Pearl. Lastly, Kombat League, the seasonal ranked mode in Mortal Kombat 11, has begun its seventh season, the Season of Death, and is available now for all players to participate in until Feb. 11. The Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack is the best way to upgrade the Mortal Kombat 11 game experience with new downloadable content (DLC), featuring six characters, numerous skin and gear sets and one-week early access for all content. The new characters coming to Mortal Kombat 11 via the Kombat Pack include The Joker (Jan. 28 early access) and Spawn (March 17 early access), along with the iconic Terminator T-800 (available now), Sindel (available now), Nightwolf (available now) and Shang Tsung (available now). Players can purchase the Kombat Pack as part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition for $89.99 (SRP) or individually for $39.99 (SRP). All DLC characters and bonus character skins will be available for individual purchase after the one-week early access period.

The new DC Universe drama series STARGIRL follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (series star Brec Bassinger, "Bella and the Bulldogs," "School of Rock," "The Goldbergs") as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series. The series focuses on the character that started creator Geoff Johns' career as a comic book writer when he created her in 1999, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a 1996 plane explosion. Geoff Johns ("Arrow," "Batwoman," "The Flash," "Titans") serves as showrunner and executive produces STARGIRL with Melissa Carter ("Queen Sugar"), who serves as co-showrunner, as well as Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. Based on the characters from DC created by Geoff Johns, STARGIRL is produced by Berlanti Productions and Mad Ghost Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.   7. Arrow ends and Superman & Lois begins. The CW has officially ordered 'Superman & Lois' to series. The network announced that the new series, headlined by Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, has been ordered to series for the 2020-21 TV season to join the recently renewed The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and Black Lightning. No information if the backdoor Arrow spinoff pilot episode, 'Green Arrow and the Canaries' has been ordered to series. This episode will air on Tuesday, January 21st. The Superman & Lois series will be filming its first episode this spring and follows “the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist” as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. The CW Network today renewed 13 of its current scripted series for the 2020-2021 season, as well as ordering 13 additional scripts of KATY KEENE, which will make its debut on February 6, 2020, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW Network. "These early orders for next season give our production teams a head start in plotting out story arcs and a jump on hiring staff, and this also provides us with a strong foundation of established, fan-favorite CW shows to build on for next season," said Pedowitz. "We've been thrilled with the creative direction of all three new series, and even though we are in the very early stages of our new full stack streaming strategy, which allows viewers to catch up on our new shows from the beginning, we're already seeing incredibly positive results from our multiplatform viewership for NANCY DREW and BATWOMAN." The current series being ordered for the 2020-2021 season include second seasons of BATWOMAN and NANCY DREW, as well as ALL AMERICAN (Season 3), BLACK LIGHTNING (Season 4), CHARMED (Season 3), DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (Season 6), DYNASTY (Season 4), THE FLASH (Season 7), IN THE DARK (Season 3), LEGACIES (Season 3), RIVERDALE (Season 5), ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO (Season 3), and SUPERGIRL (Season 6). Specific premiere dates for each series will be announced at a later time.   19. Director Patty Jenkins will drop the first trailer for 'Wonder Woman 1984' on Sunday, December 8th @ 12:30 PM PST. As a sneak preview, Warner Bros. has dropped a teaser for the movie through their Wonder Woman Twitter account. Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. “Wonder Woman 1984” will be helmed by acclaimed director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot in the title role. As previously announced, the film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal. And Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor. Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers. Set to open in theaters June 5th, 2020, “Wonder Woman 1984” is based on the character created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
