  1. Chalk up two more guest-stars to be added to the Arrowverse's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover as TVLine and TVInsider are reporting that Ashley Scott and Osric Chau will be appearing in the five-part event. Scott will be reprising her role as Huntress aka Helena Kyle, the character she played on the short-lived DC Comics drama Birds of Prey and Chau will be Ryan Choi, a physics professor at Ivy Town University who learns that he has a pivotal role to play in the coming crisis. Premiering in 2002, Birds of Prey also starred Dina Meyer as Batgirl and Rachel Skarsten as Black Canary. The series ran for 13 episodes before being cancelled. A version of Huntress has appeared on The CW’s Arrow, played by Jessica De Gouw, while Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play the character on the big screen in February’s Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). In the DC Comics, Ryan is a teen genius who becomes The Atom after Ray Palmer vanishes into the microverse during the “Rebirth” storyline. He is also a member of the Justice League. The character was name-dropped in The Flash‘s Season 5 premiere, as the designer of the supersuit-carrying ring that Nora gave her dad Barry.
  2. We recently reported that Smallville co-stars Tom Welling and Erica Durance would be reprising their roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane for this year’s upcoming Arrowverse crossover. Among doing so, it was questioned if Michael Rosenbaum would return as well for his role as Lex Luthor and Rosenbaum returned the answer via Twitter on Tuesday, explaining that he was made an offer he absolutely could — and did — refuse. “Friends, many of you have tweeted and asked me about joining the Infinite crossover,” he tweeted. “I can’t tell you how much this means to me. I’ll just be straight up about this. WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home. Their offer: No script. No idea what I’m doing. No idea when I’m shooting. Basically no money. And the real kick in the ass: ‘We have to know now.’ My simple answer was ‘Pass.’ I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions.”
  3. Four years ago, Dick, Donna, Hank, Dawn and Garth aka Aqualad (guest star DREW VAN ACKER) are living together in Titans Tower, thriving as a superhero team, and growing into a tight-knit family. But their personal feelings start to bleed more and more into their work, and with the arrival of a new villain, the Titans begin to question their destiny as heroes. Release: 09/27/2019
  4. The CW is looking to bank on the Arrow name and are developing a Arrow spinoff headlined with Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy reprising their Arrow roles in the new superhero series. The CW's Mark Pedowitz teased that the spinoff will center around Mia Smoak, known as Green Arrow, and the Canaries Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake. The new superhero squad is a next-generation version of Team Arrow with the costumed offspring of the original membership. At the center of the next-gen collective is Smoak, the fierce daughter of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) aka Green Arrow, the central character of Arrow and the former mayor of Star City. The project being set up as a backdoor pilot will air as an episode for the upcoming eighth and final season of Arrow. The episode is being handled under Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television and will be written by Beth Schwartz, Marc Guggenheim, Jill Blankenship and Oscar Balderrama. Source: Deadline
  5. Superman needs his Lois Lane so Deadline has announced that Erica Durance will be reprising her "Smallville" role of Lois Lane for CW's upcoming DC Arrowverse crossover. This announcement comes right after the announcement of her "Smallville" co-star Tom Welling returning as well to reprise his Clark Kent role. The crossover will reveal where Welling’s Clark Kent and Durance’s Lois Lane characters are almost 10 years after Smallville. The “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover will feature multiple versions of Clark Kent/Superman in different time frames, played by Welling, Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh but Durance will be the only one playing Lois Lane and we can't expect to see Teri Hatcher making an appearance.
  6. The first official movie poster for Birds of Prey was released featuring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female DC Comics characters -- Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya -- come together to save the life of a little girl, Cassandra Cain, from an evil crime lord, the Black Mask. Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie, Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco Release: February 7th, 2020

  9. Forever alone in a crowd, Arthur Fleck seeks connection. Yet, as he trods the sooted Gotham City streets and rides the graffitied mass transit rails of a hostile town teeming with division and dissatisfaction, Arthur wears two masks. One, he paints on for his day job as a clown. The other he can never remove; it’s the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel he’s a part of the world around him, and not the misunderstood man whom life is repeatedly beating down. Fatherless, Arthur has a fragile mother, arguably his best friend, who nicknamed him Happy, a moniker that’s fostered in Arthur a smile that hides the heartache beneath. But, when bullied by teens on the streets, taunted by suits on the subway, or simply teased by his fellow clowns at work, this social outlier only becomes even more out of sync with everyone around him. Directed, co-written and produced by Todd Phillips, “Joker” is the filmmaker’s original vision of the infamous DC villain, an origin story infused with, but distinctly outside, the character’s more traditional mythologies. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. Longing for any light to shine on him, he tries his hand as a stand-up comic, but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty and, ultimately, betrayal, Arthur makes one bad decision after another that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty, allegorical character study. Three-time Oscar nominee Phoenix (“The Master,” “Walk the Line,” “Gladiator”) stars in the titular role alongside Oscar winner Robert De Niro (“Raging Bull,” “The Godfather: Part II”). The film also stars Zazie Beetz (TV’s “Atlanta,” “Deadpool 2”), Frances Conroy (TV’s “American Horror Story,” Hulu’s “Castle Rock”), Brett Cullen (“42,” Netflix’s “Narcos”), Glenn Fleshler (TV’s “Billions,” “Barry”), Bill Camp (“Red Sparrow,” “Molly’s Game”), Shea Whigham (“First Man,” “Kong: Skull Island”), Marc Maron (TV’s “Maron,” “GLOW”), Douglas Hodge (“Red Sparrow,” TV’s “Penny Dreadful”), Josh Pais (upcoming “Motherless Brooklyn,” “Going in Style”) and Leigh Gill (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”). Oscar nominee Phillips (“Borat,” “The Hangover” trilogy) directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Oscar-nominated writer Scott Silver (“The Fighter”), based on characters from DC. The film was produced by Phillips and Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (“A Star Is Born,” “American Sniper”) under their Joint Effort banner, and Oscar nominee Emma Tillinger Koskoff (“The Wolf of Wall Street”). It was executive produced by Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada, Aaron L. Gilbert, Joseph Garner, Richard Baratta, and Bruce Berman. Behind the scenes, Phillips was joined by director of photography Lawrence Sher (“Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” “The Hangover” trilogy), production designer Mark Friedberg (“If Beale Street Could Talk,” “Selma”), editor Jeff Groth (“War Dogs,” “The Hangover Part III”), and Oscar-winning costume designer Mark Bridges (“Phantom Thread,” “The Artist”). The music is by Hildur Guðnadóttir (HBO’s “Chernobyl,” “Sicario: Day of the Soldado”). Warner Bros. Pictures Presents, in Association with Village Roadshow Pictures, in Association with BRON Creative, a Joint Effort Production, a Film by Todd Phillips, “Joker.”

The script for The Suicide Squad was written by Peter Gunn with Chuck Roven and Peter Safran producing and Nik Korda as executive producer. The cast within the project so far is Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) as well as new castmembers Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Flula Borg, Steve Agee (King Shark), Nathan Fillion and Taika Waititi.

The Suicide Squad was written by James Gunn with Chuck Roven and Peter Safran producing and Nik Korda as executive producer. 16. Deadline is reporting that Taika Waititi, the Thor: Ragnarok, and Thor: Love and Thunder filmmaker is in talks for a role in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad at Warner Bros. What that role will be is unknown. Sources are claiming there will be a table reading for the DC sequel on September 11th with production starting September 23rd for a August 6th, 2021 release. The Suicide Squad was written by Peter Gunn with Chuck Roven and Peter Safran producing and Nik Korda as executive producer Waititi would join recently announced Nathan Fillion, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Crtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) as well as new castmembers Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Flula Borg, Steve Agee (King Shark).
  17. The 2nd Season of Titans doesn't premiere until September 6th on the DC Universe streaming service but TVLine has revealed some preview images from the season opener, "Trigon." Executive Producer Greg Walker told sources that the season opener was originally conceived as the 1st Seasons 12th episode/finale. “We thought it was such a good cliffhanger at the end of 11, and we wanted to go for an even bigger, better Season 2 opener… and our friends at DC bought it.”
  18. Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/Atom, and Courtney Fort, who portrays Nora Darhk are saying good-bye to DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow during the superhero team-up drama’s upcoming fifth season. “Brandon and Courtney have been invaluable members of the Legends family,” series executive producers Phil Klemmer, Grianne Godfree and Keto Shimizu said in a statement to sources. “They have always brought a level passion and collaboration to their characters and to the show — both on and off the screen – that we deeply admire and for which we are eternally grateful.” Routh was among the core group of recurring actors from Arrow and has been a series regular from the start. Routh’s wife, Ford, joined Legends of Tomorrow as a recurring in Season 3 and was promoted to a regular at the beginning of Season 4. Mirroring real life, Routh and Ford’s characters are romantically liked on the show. “As one of the founding Legends of Tomorrow, Brandon is extremely beloved by the fans and everyone on the show.,” Klemmer, Godfree and Shimizu said. Both of the character's exit comes from a creative decision to wrap up their storyline. But as is the case with most Legends, the producers are leaving the door open for Ray and Nora to pop back in for guest appearances. “Of course, when we have had main characters in the past whose journeys take them away from the Waverider, it’s never truly goodbye,” Klemmer, Godfree and Shimizu said. “We love these characters and hope to check in with them in future seasons, to see how life off the ship has transformed them for better or worse.” Routh and Ford are expected to film their final episode in October. It is unclear yet when it will air during Legends of Tomorrow‘s Season 5 run, slated to start in January. Source: Deadline
  19. Deadline is reporting that Sam Littlefield will be playing a character nicknamed Mouse in a recurring role on the new CW series Batwoman. The character of Mouse is described only as a “dynamic figure” who is “working for Alice and the Wonderland Gang,” which suggests that this Mouse might be going down a dangerous rabbit hole in Gotham’s underworld. In DC Comics, Alice is a mentally unstable threat to city and a mysterious figure with complicated past and a penchant for Lewis Carroll cosplay. Alice will be played by Rachel Skarsten on Batwoman, The CW's new series Batwoman premieres on October 6th.
  20. Deadline is reporting that Michael Mosley has been cast in a recurring role as Doctor Light for the 2nd Season of Titans, the flagship show of the DC Universe subscription streaming site. The character of Dr. Arthur Light is a physicist who manipulates light and its properties to launch a criminal career. Since his 1962 debut in Justice League of America No. 12, the relatively minor character was revamped as a comedic persona in the 1980s, but was taken in a far different direction in 2004 when the Identity Crisis series presented him as a ruthless rapist in its controversial but popular story. With the 2nd Season returning on September 6th, a new promotional poster has been released featuring Deathstroke, Conor Leslie’s Wonder Girl, Curran Walters’ Jason Todd, Chelsea Zhang’s Ravager, Joshua Orpin’s Boy of Steel and many more. Not featured in the poster but appearing in the new season includes Jericho (Chella Man), Aqualad (Drew Van Acker), Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen) and Krypto.
  21. According to Deadline, the SyFy network has opted not to renew Krypton for a 3rd season. The Superman origin drama series ended with the August 14th Season 2 finale and with this series getting canceled, Syfy also won’t be proceeding with the previously announced Lobo spinoff, which had been in development. Sources are reporting that Krypton producer Warner Horizon Scripted Television is in conversations with other outlets and the upcoming HBO Max streaming platform are considered the most logical options as DC content has been a focus for both. Past seasons of Krypton already run on DC Universe. Season 1 is currently streaming on DC Universe, with Season 2 coming in 2020.
