  7. Karen Obilom is set for a recurring role as Roni Evers on Doom Patrol, the DC Universe series on HBO Max. The character of Roni Evers is a military veteran, with a mysterious past, that Vic Stone/Cyborg (Wade) meets while attending a PTSD support group. Written by Jeremy Carver (Supernatural), Doom Patrol is based on the DC characters originally written and drawn by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani. Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo Are Ready for Their Encore DC will give readers what they want this summer—bigger, louder, faster, and “metal-er.” This morning, we announced the plans for DARK NIGHTS: DEATH METAL, the sequel to the smash-hit 2017-18 series DARK NIGHTS: METAL, which brought widespread changes to the DC universe and introduced fans to the Dark Multiverse and a runaway-hit villain, the Batman Who Laughs. Issue #1 of this six-issue miniseries hits comic book stores and online retailers on May 13, 2020. The series will also include several “Metalverse” one-shots throughout the summer months, expanding the vast world created by the Death Metal storyline.

Deadline is reporting that Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin will play the twin teenage sons, Jonathan and Jordan in Superman & Lois, the CW’s straight-to-series drama about the iconic DC couple. Elsass’ Jonathan is clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated. Garfin’s Jordan is wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games. Superman & Lois revolves around superhero Superman and journalist Lois as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
  11. The Hollywood Reporter via Collider is reporting that FX has begun looking for an actor replacement for the DC Comics/Vertigo 'Y: The Last Man' as Barry Keoghan has exited the series. No reason why the actor parted ways with the series. Keoghan has been with the series since July 2018 and would have played Yorick Brown, the last surviving human with a Y chromosome. The project follows escape artist Yorick after a mysterious plague as he sets out to find what might have wiped out the male chromosome. Diane Lane, Imogen Poots, Lashana Lynch, Juliana Canfield, Marin Ireland and Amber Tamblyn round out the cast. The series was set to debut this year but now all of Keoghan's central scenes having to be reshot.

  17. TVLine is reporting that Abigail Shapiro will recur as Dorothy Spinner, the 11-year-old daughter of Niles Caulder (aka “The Chief”) in the DC Universe drama’s second season of Doom Patrol. The character was introduced at the end of the first season finale. “Niles loves her very much and has gone through great sacrifice to protect her, and the world, from her special abilities,” according to Dorothy’s official description. “Now that she is no longer hidden, Niles will go to even greater lengths to protect her.” No premiere date has been announced yet for the second season.
