  1. Deadline is reporting that Sam Littlefield will be playing a character nicknamed Mouse in a recurring role on the new CW series Batwoman. The character of Mouse is described only as a “dynamic figure” who is “working for Alice and the Wonderland Gang,” which suggests that this Mouse might be going down a dangerous rabbit hole in Gotham’s underworld. In DC Comics, Alice is a mentally unstable threat to city and a mysterious figure with complicated past and a penchant for Lewis Carroll cosplay. Alice will be played by Rachel Skarsten on Batwoman, The CW's new series Batwoman premieres on October 6th.
  2. Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/Atom, and Courtney Fort, who portrays Nora Darhk are saying good-bye to DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow during the superhero team-up drama’s upcoming fifth season. “Brandon and Courtney have been invaluable members of the Legends family,” series executive producers Phil Klemmer, Grianne Godfree and Keto Shimizu said in a statement to sources. “They have always brought a level passion and collaboration to their characters and to the show — both on and off the screen – that we deeply admire and for which we are eternally grateful.” Routh was among the core group of recurring actors from Arrow and has been a series regular from the start. Routh’s wife, Ford, joined Legends of Tomorrow as a recurring in Season 3 and was promoted to a regular at the beginning of Season 4. Mirroring real life, Routh and Ford’s characters are romantically liked on the show. “As one of the founding Legends of Tomorrow, Brandon is extremely beloved by the fans and everyone on the show.,” Klemmer, Godfree and Shimizu said. Both of the character's exit comes from a creative decision to wrap up their storyline. But as is the case with most Legends, the producers are leaving the door open for Ray and Nora to pop back in for guest appearances. “Of course, when we have had main characters in the past whose journeys take them away from the Waverider, it’s never truly goodbye,” Klemmer, Godfree and Shimizu said. “We love these characters and hope to check in with them in future seasons, to see how life off the ship has transformed them for better or worse.” Routh and Ford are expected to film their final episode in October. It is unclear yet when it will air during Legends of Tomorrow‘s Season 5 run, slated to start in January. Source: Deadline
  3. The 2nd Season of Titans doesn't premiere until September 6th on the DC Universe streaming service but TVLine has revealed some preview images from the season opener, "Trigon." Executive Producer Greg Walker told sources that the season opener was originally conceived as the 1st Seasons 12th episode/finale. “We thought it was such a good cliffhanger at the end of 11, and we wanted to go for an even bigger, better Season 2 opener… and our friends at DC bought it.”
  4. Deadline is reporting that Michael Mosley has been cast in a recurring role as Doctor Light for the 2nd Season of Titans, the flagship show of the DC Universe subscription streaming site. The character of Dr. Arthur Light is a physicist who manipulates light and its properties to launch a criminal career. Since his 1962 debut in Justice League of America No. 12, the relatively minor character was revamped as a comedic persona in the 1980s, but was taken in a far different direction in 2004 when the Identity Crisis series presented him as a ruthless rapist in its controversial but popular story. With the 2nd Season returning on September 6th, a new promotional poster has been released featuring Deathstroke, Conor Leslie’s Wonder Girl, Curran Walters’ Jason Todd, Chelsea Zhang’s Ravager, Joshua Orpin’s Boy of Steel and many more. Not featured in the poster but appearing in the new season includes Jericho (Chella Man), Aqualad (Drew Van Acker), Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen) and Krypto.
  5. According to Deadline, the SyFy network has opted not to renew Krypton for a 3rd season. The Superman origin drama series ended with the August 14th Season 2 finale and with this series getting canceled, Syfy also won’t be proceeding with the previously announced Lobo spinoff, which had been in development. Sources are reporting that Krypton producer Warner Horizon Scripted Television is in conversations with other outlets and the upcoming HBO Max streaming platform are considered the most logical options as DC content has been a focus for both. Past seasons of Krypton already run on DC Universe. Season 1 is currently streaming on DC Universe, with Season 2 coming in 2020.

The cast includes Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/Batwoman, Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox and Elizabeth Anweis as Catherine Hamilton-Kane. Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) never planned to be Gotham’s new vigilante. Three years after Batman mysteriously disappeared, Gotham is a city in despair. Without the Caped Crusader, the Gotham City Police Department was overrun and outgunned by criminal gangs. Enter Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and his military-grade Crows Private Security, which now protects the city with omnipresent firepower and militia. Years before, Jacob’s first wife and daughter were killed in the crossfire of Gotham crime. He sent his only surviving daughter, Kate Kane, away from Gotham for her safety. After a dishonorable discharge from military school and years of brutal survival training, Kate returns home when the Alice in Wonderland gang targets her father and his security firm, by kidnapping his best Crow officer Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy). Although remarried to wealthy socialite Catherine Hamilton-Kane (Elizabeth Anweis), who bankrolls the Crows, Jacob is still struggling with the family he lost, while keeping Kate –– the daughter he still has –– at a distance. But Kate is a woman who’s done asking for permission. In order to help her family and her city, she’ll have to become the one thing her father loathes –– a dark knight vigilante. With the help of her compassionate stepsister, Mary (Nicole Kang), and the crafty Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), the son of Wayne Enterprises’ tech guru Lucius Fox, Kate Kane continues the legacy of her missing cousin, Bruce Wayne, as Batwoman. Still holding a flame for her ex-girlfriend, Sophie, Kate uses everything in her power to combat the dark machinations of the psychotic Alice (Rachel Skarsten), who’s always somewhere slipping between sane and insane. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, she must first overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope. 21. At ARROW’s Comic-Con panel on Saturday, July 20th, producers treated fans in Ballroom 20 to an action-packed retrospective of season seven, as well as a teaser for what is to come in the final season. Arrow returns for its eighth and final season on October 15th in its new Tuesday 9/8c time period on The CW. Based on the DC characters, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Beth Schwartz, Sarah Schechter and Jill Blankenship, with Marc Guggenheim as a consulting producer. Arrow is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
  22. Once again, Supergirl landed at Comic-Con with another superpowered panel filled with surprises and reveals about the eagerly awaited upcoming season. Perhaps most striking for fans is that the character of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl (played by Melissa Benoist) will be sporting a new Kryptonian supersuit — the first revamp since her co-worker, friend, and confidante Winn Schott designed her iconic red and blue gear in season one. And two new characters will also be on the scene in National City this season. NEW SUPERSUIT The new suit, conceptualized by Supergirl costume designer Victoria Auth and created by Ironhead Studios and Bill Hargates Costumes, follows the evolution of supersuits in executive producer Greg Berlanti’s “Arrowverse,” which has seen redesigns of both the Arrow and Flash suits in recent years. Regarding Kara’s new look, executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner said: “We’re beyond excited to update Supergirl’s iconic suit. We think her new image is strong and powerful. We hope the fans are as excited about it as we are.” NEW CHARACTERS AND SERIES REGULARS In addition to the first official unveiling of the new Supergirl supersuit, the show’s producers announced that two new characters will be joining the action in National City for the upcoming season: DC’s Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata) and renowned reporter William Dey. Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars, Dallas, Eli Stone) will star as iconic DC character Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata). A polished businesswoman and heir to a Central American tech empire, Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata) is now making a hostile advance into the world of media. Unapologetic and unafraid to make waves, she also holds a mystical secret. Gonzalo will first appear as Rojas in the season premiere on Sunday, October 6th, at 9/8c on The CW. UK-based actor Staz Nair — who is perhaps best known for playing Qhono, a Dothraki warrior loyal to Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones — will play hardened reporter William Dey, an original character created for the series. On the surface, he’s a cynic and a sellout who looks down on Kara’s earnest idealism. Dey’s not interested in making friends, he just wants to get the story — but his ties to the criminal underworld could prove problematic. Nair (Game of Thrones, FOX’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show, AMC’s Humans) as William Dey will also make his debut during the season premiere episode. Supergirl returns for its fifth season on Sunday, October 6th, at 9/8c on The CW. Produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and based on DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Jesse Rath as Brainiac, Nicole Maines as Nia Nal, Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen, Andrea Brooks as Eve Tessmacher, with David Harewood as J’onn J’onzz. Greg Berlanti, Jessica Queller, Robert Rovner and Sarah Schechter are executive producers.
