  1. Here's just a quick repaint of the recent McFarlane toys Super Powers Darkseid. Wanted it to be a darker alternative, and closer to his original colors than to the brighter Jim Lee designed version of the character. I used Testors color shift paint, so it appears either dark blue or purple depending on how the light hits it. Also finished up with Vallejo blue violet for the belt trim. Hope you enjoy this, and leave feedback. More to come.
  2. It looks like the upcoming Snyder Cut of the Justice League movie from Warner Bros. which will be airing on HBO Max later this year will be getting the 7" action figure treatment from McFarlane Toys. According to a Philippines toy store called Matt's Box, they list the following figures coming from McFarlane: If true, these will be the first Justice League movie figures released by McFarlane since the company didn't have the DC license when the original Justice League movie came out. According to the listings, the Darkseid and Steppenwolf figures look to be 10" tall and released as some kind of deluxe figures. Darkseid was not featured in the original Justice League movie, so this would be the first figure of him from anyone. While Mattel did give us a Steppenwolf figure from the original movie, the Snyder Cut version is said to have gone through some significant CGI upgrades. 3 figures in the listings for the movie are said to be store exclusives here in the US. These will likely be variants released at either Walmart and/or Target. For these, Batman sounds like it will be an unmasked version and Cyborg will have his helmet down. The Superman is kinda odd as it sounds like the store exclusive version will feature his regular outfit. That would suggest the regular release version will feature the all black rebirth outfit. I would have thought it would be the other way around. The final store exclusive figure isn't a movie figure, but a variant for the upcoming Last Knight On Earth wave Wonder Woman. This variant will have the Dr. Fate like helmet like we saw teased by McFarlane back in October of last year. We will treat all of this as rumor for now until McFarlane officially confirms it, but 9 times out of 10 these overseas listings turn out to be true. Let us know your thoughts below in the COMMENTS SECTION, are you looking forward to 7" scale DC Multiverse Justice League movie figures from McFarlane Toys?
  3. Looks like we may have more Dark Nights Death Metal based figures joining Batman and his Batcycle in the 7" DC Multiverse line from McFarlane Toys. While not officially confirmed by McFarlane Toys at this time, overseas etailer Rabbit Toy Store has listed for pre-order a new wave of figures that includes the following: -Dark Nights: Death Metal Superman -Dark Nights: Death Metal Wonder Woman -Dark Nights: Death Metal Robin King The Build-A-Figure for this wave is listed as being a Dark Nights: Death Metal Dark Father figure which is essentially Dark Nights version of Darkseid. Of course we will treat this as RUMOR until we get an official confirmation from McFarlane Toys themselves.
  4. From the DC Epic Diorama series, XM Studios is excited to present the Justice League vs. Darkseid limited edition art piece. At 1/6 scale Justice League is comprised of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter engaging in battle with Darkseid. 5. From the DC Rebirth series, XM Studios is excited to present Darkseid into the DC Premium Collectibles statue line. At 1/6 scale, Darkseid has been immortalized on broken ground surrounded by the trophies of his enemies; Superman’s cape, Batman’s cowl, Aquaman’s Trident, and Wonder Woman’s shield. Size matters, but quality even more so! The new XM DC 1:6 line is specially designed for collectors who desire more space-friendly collectibles, without compromising on the incredible details and quality of larger collectible pieces. 6. After losing his son Damian, aka Robin, Batman eventually found temporary peace, until Damian's body was stolen and taken to the fiery planet of Apokolips. Determined to bring Damian back to life, Batman dons the experimental Hellbat suit, (forged by the other members of the Justice League) and ventures to the hellscape of Apokolips to take on the virtually indestructible ruler, Darkseid!
  7. Deadline is reporting that DC Comics is bringing Darkseid to the big screen in the upcoming live-action Warner Bros film The New Gods. The news was originally announced by the projects director, Ava DuVernay from a series of tweets. From the tweets, DuVernay announced the director will be working the next day with Tom King, the DC Comics star writer who won another Eisner Award at this month’s Comic-Con in San Diego on the New Gods script. The Darkseid character was created by Jack Kirby and introduced in 1971 as the cruel galactic despot who lords over Apokolips, a nightmarish planet devoted to war, torture, conquest and total dominance over living things.
  8. Prime 1 Studio present the 1:4 scale Darkseid Statue from the popular video game Injustice 2. Darkseid is a DLC villain and the Bigger Bad of the game. He is the devil incarnate, the lord of Apokolips, and a father of his deceased son Kalibak. Darkseid arrived on Earth because Superman killed his son to go after the Anti-Life Equation held by Wonder Woman. He has many abilities like his comic version, he can summon Parademons, and can even teleport to knock his opponent's clear across the screen. The Darkseid Statue is sculpted in exquisite detail, featuring interchangeable arms offering multiple display options. You can pre-order this now form BigBadToyStore.com.
