It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE! This week, we're having a look at the Animated series Beetlejuice figure from the BST AXN (pronounced "Best Action") line by the Loyal Subjects. The BST AXN line is a fun action figure line with a ton of variety, so much so that you could get a figure of Gandalf, Naruto, Slash from the Guns'n'Roses and Napoleon Dynamite *in the same wave*! When that Animated series Beetlejuice was announced, I pre-ordered it right away by saying his name three times. First impression: It's bigger than I thought it would be! I thought it would be slightly taller than a 1/18th figure, but at 5", it actually doesn't look too bad on a shelf next to Super7 Ninja turtles or S.H.Figuarts figures. Those BST AXN packagings also look pretty nice, as they keep them consistent throughout the line. They also give you a sticker with the logo of the line, which is always a nice thing: We need more free stickers in our lives! Beetlejuice comes with 3 extra hands, a top hat, a cane, a beetle (snack?), a yellow bottle and his friend Ginger, the tap-dancing spider. For about $20, it's a rather decent amount of accessories. The figure itself is really nice too! It's great to finally get a figure of Beetlejuice from the animated series from the early 90s. We had Beetlejuice action figures from Kenner back in the day, but those were more inspired by the movie than the animated series. NECA also did some great figures for the movie, but i believe this is the first time we get the actual animated series one (apart from Burger King toys). The "Ghost with the most" has a decent amount of articulations: double elbows, double knees, ab crunch, thigh and bicep swivels... Okay, it won't move like your Spider-man figures, but it's a start! The fun factor and nostalgia is what makes it a great figure. There's also a Lydia figure supposed to join him at some point, that was announced a while ago. The Loyal Subjects is doing a great job with that line, and I hope we'll get more figures from IPs that didn't get enough toy love. More news at 11:00... IT'S SHOWTIME!

Looks like both Beetlejuice and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures are going to be joining the 5" BST AXN line from The Loyal Subjects. These images come via instagramer toyhypeusa. For those not familiar with the BST AXN line, the figures are said to have around 25 points of articulation and generally cost around $15.99 each. Stay-tuned for more details on these new figures as they become available.

We got our first glimpse of these back in February during Toy Fair. They are a new line of 5" articulated action figures called BST AXN that are being released by Loyal Subjects. At Toy Fair we were allowed to take pictures of their Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist figures, but they also had on hand their Naruto figures that we were not allowed to take images of. Since then however it seems Loyal Subjects has been hard at work expanding the line to include a number of additional figures from various properties. Thanks to the overseas etailer Games and Comics we have a look at quit a few of them. It should be noted many of the figures shown are possibly still early production samples of some kind. Shown below in our GALLERY are the following figures: -AC/DC Angus Young -Big Trouble In Little China Lightning -Cowboy Bebop Spike Spiegel -Cowboy Bebop Vicious -Fullmetal Alchemist Alphonse Elric -Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric -Guns N' Roses Slash -KISS The Demon -LOTR Gandalf -Napoleon Dynamite -Naruto Kakashi Hatake -Naruto Naruto Uzumaki It seems like a pretty random choice of characters being done. With ones like Gandalf from LOTR and Lightning from Big Trouble In Little China, it will be interesting to see if those are one and done figures or if they plan on flushing out those properties with more figures down the road. The figures do have accessories including weapons and multiple pairs of hands. It looks like the figures will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $15 each. It's unclear if these will only be made available online or if any major retailers will be picking them up. As more details become available we will be sure to update you.
