The Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson posted a Twitter video thanking everyone for the success of the Black Adam movie and talked about how he fought to get Henry Cavill back as Superman for a cameo appearance in the movie, despite Warner Bros. not initially keen on bringing back the actor.   8. Black Adam is hitting theaters on October 21st and DC Comics has released new comic book-style character posters featuring the superhero ensemble known as the Justice Society of America. With the release of the character posters, DC Comics will be printing a series of one-shot comic books called Black Adam: The Justice Society Files. The comic books series will release a one-shot every month, profiling Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone, and Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher to provide a backstory to explain the characters' connection to Black Adam. The first one-shot will center around Hawkman and will release on July 5th. Alongside the four comic book cover arts created by Kaare Andrews, DC Comics released variant covers portraying the actors playing the Justice Society of America characters in the new Black Adam film.

  11. Warner Bros. announced new release dates for seven high-profile movies. No official reason for the new release dates. Black Adam moves from July 29th to October 21st. DC League of Super-Pets moves from May 20th to July 29th. The Flash moves from November 4th to June 23rd, 2023. Aquaman moves from December 16th to March 17th, 2023. Wonka moves from March 17th, 2023, to December 15th, 2023. Shazam! Fury of the Gods moves up from June 2nd, 2023, to December 16th, 2022 Meg 2: The Trench has been set for August 4th, 2023.

  16. It is being reported by THR that actor Pierce Brosnan has been cast for the role of Dr. Fate in the upcoming Black Adam movie which will star Dwayne Johnson. Other character slated to appear in the movie include Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Black Adam of course is a follow up to the 2019 Shazam movie. The movie is expect to start production some time next month.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Quintessa Swindell has been picked to play the role of Cyclone in the action-adventure thriller Black Adam featuring the DC Comics anti-hero starring Dwayne Johnson. Johnson iis playing the titular anti-hero, one of DC’s most popular characters, with the movie project introducing members of the Justice Society, historically DC’s precursor to the Justice League and having a multi-generational super-powered lineage. Co-starring in the project is Aldis Hodge as Hawkman and Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher. Additionally, Sarah Shahi has supporting role. In the comics, Cyclone is Maxine Hunkell, the granddaughter of the original Red Tornado, a female character introduced in 1940. The more well-known Red Tornado was created decades later and is an android with wind-related powers. Cyclone has wind and sound-generating powers. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing with the latest script written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon will serve as executive producer.

  19. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson took it to the people and held his own panel by answering questions and introducing his co-star, Noah Centineo. Johnson confirmed that Centineo will play Atom Smasher and the Justice Society of America will also be featured. Johnson also had time to throw out two new clips from Black Adam. The first clip shows off the characters of Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher from Justice Society of America.

The character of Atom Smasher can control his molecular structure and is able to manipulate his size and strength. Dwayne Johnson plays the title role with Jaume Collet-Serra helming the project from a script by Adam Sztykiel. Scott Sheldon will oversee for FlynnPictureCo. and will also serve as executive producer. Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo., is producing along with Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia via their Seven Bucks Productions. The storyline details are being kept quiet but Black Adam focuses on the DC character that was originally created as the archnemesis for the hero now known as Shazam. In modern times, however, the character has evolved into a more complex and conflicted antihero, rising to become one of DC's more prominent characters. His origins are tied to the fictional Middle Eastern kingdom of Kahndaq and his powers are supernatural in nature.
  21. On Instagram, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has released new concept artwork of Black Adam by Jim Lee and Boss Logic with a release date of Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 for the film.

According to Deadline, Dwayne Johnson has confirmed his involvement as DC's Black Adam by replying to a tweet to an image of a sculptor’s model of what he’d look like as Teth-Adam. “Very cool man, thank you. Amazing detail. This project has been with me for over 10yrs️ Production begins this July. Appreciate the support.” Bouncing back and forth in development as Black Adam is Shazam’s arch-nemesis. Johnson was to play the character in the first movie before the studios decided on his own stand-alone film, and he came aboard in January 2017. Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo is producing with Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions. Scott Sheldon will oversee for FlynnPictureCo.

I still recommend these guys to you if you are a Shazam or Black Adam fan. Also if you have been collecting all of the previously released DC Essential then these 2 will be a must for you also.
