  1. I started drawing when I was 7 and just like any little kid I loved cartoons! I remember drawing, WB characters, Disney, loved Hannah Barbera stuff, Garfield, etc. Then I started drawing more serious stuff and tried out every medium when I was in high school. I was very nostalgic about all the toys I had as a kid and 5yrs ago I started looking for things I had/wanted as a kid. I usually paint in acrylic, watercolors but I discovered that color pencils are more my thing... most are based on my own figs. (Except batman, that's a commission, but it's based on the guys actual fig, and Donnie 2012 from screen shot of tmnt show) Check out my art page IG:dango922 And toy/game stuff IG:80force

  4. This one combines two of Todd's favorite things, Batman and repaint variants. It's the new DC Multiverse Target exclusive White Knight Red Variant Batman figure that will be released in March 2021. Now you might be asking why would they do Batman in red? Well I can only speculate, but as best I can tell this is meant to be some kind of nod to the coloring used in the comics. If you have read the White Knight story, you might have noticed a lot of the artwork was done with a red like tint to it. If that's not it then maybe they ran out of bronze paint???

  11. Target has the McFarlane light blue Batman for Pre-order
  12. Last week we told you how it looked like McFarlane Toys was going to be releasing a wave of 7" DC Multiverse figures that included figures of DC Metals The Drowned, Red Sun Superman and Damien Robin. We saw the prototype for The Drowned figure revealed by Todd McFarlane during the DC Fandome event. Well now thanks to more overseas etailer listings we have word of another wave which will feature a Build-A-Figure. Now I know this may shock you but it's another Batman themed wave. This one is said to be based on the 2019 Batman: The Last Knight On Earth DC Comics storyline which was written by Scott Snyder and had artwork from Jonathan Glapion and Greg Capullo. The wave which is listed with a January 2021 release date is said to include figures from the storyline of Batman, Wonder Woman, Omega and Scarecrow. The Build-A-Figure will be of Bane which will likely go nicely with the Scarecrow figure. Of course until the folks at McFarlane Toys officially confirm this we will treat this info as RUMOR for now.
  13. Todd McFarlane, one of the most iconic comic book artists of the late 20th century, has unveiled a brand-new DC Multiverse Batman action figure designed, created and produced by McFarlane and his award-winning McFarlane Toys company. This new Batman action figure is inspired from the mind of Todd McFarlane. McFarlane has created a new never-before-seen before version of Batman’s costume. It features a Black Cape and Cowl, comes with two swords, a base, and includes a collectible art card with Todd McFarlane's Batman artwork on front and character biography on the back. The incredibly detailed 7-inch scale figure is designed with McFarlane Toys' signature "Ultra Articulation" with up to 22 moving parts for a full range of posing and play. In the 1980s, Todd McFarlane began drawing Batman professionally, working on the classic storyline "Batman: Year Two™" in Detective Comics™, and creating iconic artwork, including his dynamic cover for Batman #423. Todd went on to become a titan of the comic book industry but has always had an affinity for Batman. "Batman has always been my favorite character- excluding Spawn," said McFarlane, creative force and CEO of McFarlane Toys. "I've always liked the fact that Batman has no superpowers. When it comes down to it, he's just a dude in a costume trying to combat evil. Conceivably, if Batman were in a huge battle in space, without any of his gadgets and tech, he could potentially die, unlike Superman™. I've always had an affinity for Batman, and it’s an honor to design a brand new version of a Batman figure for all fans and collectors." McFarlane Toys is also bringing collectors and fans a brand-new collector program. With the launch of the new Batman figure by Todd McFarlane, McFarlane Toys has announced its new McFarlane Gold Label Collection Series that will feature characters from your favorite pop-culture and entertainment brands. All figures released in the McFarlane Gold Label Collection will be highly limited and showcased in limited- edition packaging with a McFarlane Toys Gold Label Collection printed in foil. Look for more McFarlane Toys Collector Series announcement coming soon. The McFarlane Gold Label Collection Batman by Todd McFarlane figure will be available for pre-order in mid-Oct at Walmart.com. 19. Step into our time machine as we take a look back at what possibly could have been. Long time Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe collectors are likely familiar with the name David Vonner. Originally working on the Marvel Legends line at Toy Biz, he moved over to Hasbro when the license changed hands and continued his work there. Eventually after having a successful stint on the 3.75" Marvel Universe line, David left Hasbro and went to work for Mattel in 2016. At that time, many including myself assumed he would begin working on Mattel's own ongoing 6" and 3.75" superhero line DC Multiverse. Instead he became a Design Manger for their WWE brand, which is the line he has worked on ever since. Of course as most know, Mattel eventually lost the DC license to the likes of Spin Master and McFarlane Toys last year. While Mattel's tenure with the DC license had it's up down, I think it's fairly safe to say that it never quit reached the heights of popularity that Marvel Legends has experienced. Many collectors including myself longed for a day when we would see articulation similar to Marvel Legends on a 6" DC Comics action figure, but alas that day never really came. Well as it turns out that during Dave's time at Mattel, he actually did some work on a Batman figure, which he has now chosen to reveal to the world. It's not entirely clear why Mattel never choose to move forward with this figure or why David was never put onto the DC Multiverse team back when they had the license, a story perhaps we will hear one day. I won't pretend to speak for the entire collector community, but I will say this is a Batman figure I personally would have liked to seen released. The Bruce Wayne head and pulled back cowl is one of the best I have ever seen on a action figure of this scale. Let us know your own thoughts about this figure in the COMMENTS SECTION below.
