  1. The live chat during a Hasbro Fanstream: "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy" as Obi Wan said. Those can usually be quite toxic, with entitled passionate collectors yelling "Pass!", "This is horrible" "Who wants this crap?" and other constructive criticism (At least, we assume they yell, since it's written in all caps). A lot of people assume that nobody from the company reads the live chat, but it turns out they do, and one member of the live chat might have just gotten a golden opportunity... "We are always monitoring during those events" said one of the members of the boards of directors from Hasbro. "During the recent Star Wars fanstream, there was the usual banter and insults that are commonplace during those streams, but one fan in particular, SandInVadersBoots, managed to catch our attention. "This line should die", "Who asks for these?", "WTF! This is terrible", "Please stop", ... His arguments were very clear, and he eloquently explained what was wrong with the line in a very constructive manner. Really, his arguments were brilliant. Who would take valuable time out of their day to yell at people on a screen? We knew right away that we had found our next CEO". SandInVadersBoots is expected to start at Hasbro next month. He should oversee the Star Wars line of products first, followed by the Marvel Legends line, which also has a very colorful live chat during their fanstreams. More news at 11:00... "Clearly, he knew better than us what we should do." *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  2. The Star Wars Haslab curse has been a thing since the very first Haslab project, whether they funded or not: The Jabba's sail barge exploded, the Razor Crest was destroyed, the Rancor got crushed by a door and Reva's lightsaber was broken in half by Darth Vader... With the latest Haslab project, the Star Wars The Vintage Collection The Ghost, about to appear in the upcoming Disney+ Ahsoka series, did Hasbro just seal the fate of our favorite rebel's freighter? "We do not know in advance what happens in the show, so there's no way to tell." said a member of the Hasbro Star Wars team. "Right now, we're just focusing on trying to get the extra figures unlocked, so we need about 6,500 more backers to get Ezra, Kannan and Zeb added to the ship. We will worry about the Haslab curse later, but we are aware of it." "We have seen that there are people placing bets on betting sites that the Ghost will not explode, but there are also bets about in which episode it happens. If the ship explodes in the opening scene of the first episode, it is going to make some people very rich!" he continued. "It is a good thing that the Haslab curse is only applied to Star Wars projects for the moment. I could have never lived with myself if anything happened to the Cookie Monster!" he added. (Although, we've seen tons of Sentinel explode throughout the years...). Chances are the Ghost will be just fine, though, as it did have a cameo at the end of Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of the Skywalker. Phew! (It could be the Ghost II though... they did lose the Phantom once...) You can find all the infos and back the Star Wars The Vintage Collection The Ghost here. More news at 11:00... Prayer circle for the Ghost starts now! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  3. Last week, the Hasbro Star Wars team announced that the next Star Wars related Haslab project will be announced in July during the San Diego Comic Con (July, 19th to 23rd, 2023). What the next Star Wars Haslab will be has been kept tightly under wraps, and nobody has been able to see it (some rumors even say it's a Ghost *wink nudge*). However, an anonymous source sent ToyFarce a clue about a possible long-awaited playset... ToyFarce got this scoop via an anonymous source (don't worry, Ryan, your secret is safe with us!): The next Star Wars Haslab could very well be the Star Wars The Vintage Collection Ewok Village! (Have you noticed how they write 'Star Wars The Vintage Collection' without a hyphen or a colon, as if we are supposed to say it all without pause, in one breath? ...or does that bother only me?). The long-awaited, fan favorite playset from Endor, so good that even Kevin Costner's Robin Hood stole it, will make a triumphant return as a Haslab. Here are the pictures that were attached in the anonymous email (yeah, we open those!): Are you excited about the Haslab Star Wars TVC Ewok Village? What other Star Wars Haslab would you want to get? More news at 11:00... Yub nub! (Rough translation: Haslab Ewok Village: Confirmed!) *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  4. Happy belated Star Wars day, everyone! (or happy 'Return of the Fifth', or Star Wars month, aka 'This is the May'). On May 3rd, the Hasbro Star Wars team had a livestream on the Hasbro Pulse Youtube channel and announced a ton of cool stuff. Darth Malgus! Ewoks! Another Mando! More Clonetroopers! Yay! ToyFarce heard that one thing that the team forgot to mention is that once the window packaging will be back in 2024, they are planning to re-release all the figures from the plastic-free packaging days with windows! "Finally!" said a huge MIB/MOC Star Wars collector. "I knew I was right to boycott the plastic-free packaging figures, and only buy one of each instead of two! I usually buy two to have one to display in box, and one to open (AKA "one to rock and one to stock"), but I couldn't see myself display the windowless boxes. It was just awfuuul! Now, when they re-release them with windows, I will be able to open the plastic-free packaging ones without feeling too sad, because the window boxes ones are better!", he added. (Yes, he still bought them and displayed them in box this whole time, but it will be better now...) The Star Wars: The Black Series 'windowless packaging with window' figures should be announced in early 2024. No news about the Marvel Legends, G.I.Joe Classified Series or Power Rangers Lightning Collection teams yet. More news at 11:00... 'Repack' is the new 'Repaint'! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  5. It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Daimyo Boba Fett from the Mei Sho Movie Realization line from Bandai, which is inspired by the look he had in the Book of Boba Fett series, with his reclaimed, repainted Mandalorian armor. The Mei Sho Movie Realization line is the toy line where Bandai took characters from either Star Wars or Marvel, and gave them a 'Feudal Japan' twist. A nice addition to that line, even if it would be nice to finally get the other characters that have been teased over the past few years (more on that later). The Daimyo Boba Fett figure comes with 4 extra hands, his jetpack, a katana with sheath, a blaster rifle, a blaster pistol, his gaffi stick from the Book of Boba Fett series and a chain with a hook to attach on his wrist weapon. It is VERY SAD that he didn't come with a throne, since he was displayed on a really nice one at conventions, but oh well... Also, the prices have been climbing up a lot on those figures, so I wouldn't have minded having more accessories (or a throne!) with it. The figure itself looks great (as did the 3 previous Boba/Jango Fett figures) and has a lot of new parts. The paint apps are great on the figure, and the colors of the repainted armor really pop. The articulations are a bit hindered by all the armor parts, like a lot of the figures from that line, but he can still manage decent poses. The next figure announced for this line is the Ashigaru 'Remnant' Stormtrooper, which is a Stormtrooper with 'battle damage' effects, as seen in the first season of The Mandalorian. It will be the 8th or 9th Stormtrooper figure in this line (sigh). Still no news about the IG-88, Admiral Ackbar or Gamorrean Guard figures that have been teased and displayed at conventions since 2019... 2 versions of the Mandalorian, another Boba Fett and another Stormtrooper have been announced AND released (apart from the Stormtrooper) since those have been shown... Is there still hope? You can still grab this Daimyo Boba Fett figure from BigBadToyStore. More news at 11:00... Jabba ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect.
  6. Happy St Patrick's Day, everyone! Today is a great day to wear something green, pinch people who don't, and have beverages with green coloring in them! It's also a nice day to reveal new Star Wars: The Black Series holiday edition figures! A green Mandalorian Warrior, a green Imperial Royal Guard and a Leprechaun Ewok? Hopefully easier to find than a four leaf clover! ToyFarce first heard about those thanks to Hasbro Star Wars brand manager Patrick (happy name day!), who was very happy to finally get figures that celebrate his day. There will be a St Patrick's Day Mandalorian warrior, sporting green colors, with an Anzellan droidsmith dressed like a four leaf clover, a St Patrick's Day Imperial Royal Guard coming with green beer pints, and a Leprechaun Ewok, complete with a pot of beskar (the irony of Warwick David playing Wicket and the Leprechaun in the horror movie series is not lost on us!). More news at 11:00... May our day be touched by some Irish luck... and the Force be with us! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  7. It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... ToyFarce review! This week, we're having a look at the Star Wars: The Black Series Holiday Edition figures from 2022 from Hasbro. Once again, each figure was exclusive to a different store, which made it really easy and fun for collectors outside the US to acquire them...NOT. This review should have been posted around Christmas, right after the Holiday Edition 2020 figures review (which can be found here), but someone (*cough* Walmart *cough*) decided that the last figure would be shipped later in January... Right in time for Christmas...ish! First, the First Order Stormtrooper, which was exclusive to Amazon and was the first one I received (I'll go through them in the order I got them). This First Order Stormtrooper is pretty much more of the same of the 2020 wave, a peppermint-green Stormtrooper, with Christmas-themed decos. He comes with a blaster rifle and a Holiday-themed mouse droid. A fun novelty item (as they all are, really), but kind of a let down since we already got a similar First Order Stormtrooper in the 2020 wave. The second one to arrive was the Hasbro Pulse exclusive Phase II Clone Trooper, with his gingerbread man colored armor. I know I just said that we already had Stormtroopers in the first wave, but this one is actually pretty fun. Gingerbread colors, with a bow tie and and buttons painted on his chest armor, and some parts painted white like if he had cream filling inside. He comes with a blaster and a Christmas Porg, dressed in red and white. The "Abominable Snowman" Wookiee was a Gamestop Exclusive, and is where the fun started, with other characters than Stormtroopers getting the Holiday treatment. This big white Wookiee reminds me of the Rankin/Bass Abominable Snowmonster of the North, all white, with blue highlights (lips, hands and feet) and red harness. The Abominable Wookiee comes with his bowcaster and a white Porg with a scarf. The Protocol Droid was the easiest one to get, as he came through 'Fan channel', I got it from BigBadToyStore. A pretty basic Protocol Droid figure, all in red, white and green, with a holiday scarf. He comes with a holiday-themed BD Droid. They could have added a christmas hat or something, so that it didn't look like a straight repaint, but oh well... The Mandalorian Warrior, a Target exclusive, might be my favorite from this wave. He has ugly christmas sweater designs on his chest armor, and just looks really cool, with the bright colors. Red and green really suit a Mandalorian well, apparently (I am convinced any color combinations would look good on a Mandalorian armor, at this point). He comes with a winter colored Bogling and his Amban phase-pulse rifle. And finally, the one that took ages to arrive thanks to Walmart pushing the delivery to mid-January, the Walmart Exclusive Scout Trooper! Another fun one, with his red armor, and Grogu ugly christmas sweater design on his chest. He comes with a mini gun, and a Christmas bag that hides a Grogu (I would enjoy it more if it didn't remind me of the Scout trooper punching Grogu through the bag in that Mandalorian episode...). This completes this second wave of 6 Star Wars: The Black Series Holiday Edition figures... ... BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Since Halloween was 3 months ago, and those figures shipped last month, I figured I would add them to this review. The 2 Halloween edition figures were also exclusives to different stores, but ended up being available in more places after a while. The Halloween Edition Clone Trooper was exclusive to Target, and is a really fun figure. The idea of having the armor all in black with a skeleton painted in neon green on it was brilliant and the results looks pretty great on a shelf. He came with plastic-free packaging, and even had Halloween themed, orange paper hiding the figure. He comes with a chest that hides beskar painted to look like chocolate bars, and a vampire Porg, painted like Dracula. More of this, please! The Halloween Edition Wookiee was a Walmart exclusive (but ended up as 'Fan channel' soon after. Maybe they realized Halloween had passed already and tried to make them more easily available afterwards). This Wookiee has pointy ears (like a cat!) and the Black Krrsantan/Road Warriors chest armor with spiky shoulders (WHAT A RUSH!). He comes with a werewolf Bogling (wereBogling?) and a Halloween-themed orange cantomo (Ingenuous!) with beskar chocolate bars inside. That's it for the Holiday-themed figures of 2022! Which one was your favorite? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... Happy Halloween/Merry Christmas in January!
  8. This week was the 9th week of Hasbro's Star Wars team "Bring Home The Galaxy" announcements, and among them, we got yet another batch of Boba Fett repaints. This time, they were Star Wars: The Vintage Collection figures, with a 'comic art edition' and a 'vintage comic art edition'. With the success of those, ToyFarce heard that the next batch is already in development, with the color patterns decided by... a kindergarten class? It was thursday morning, in a nice Kindergarten in Missouri, when the teacher gave the children their next assignments: "Today, we are going to color Boba Fett pictures, and the best ones will be made into action figures by Hasbro!", she said. "Yaaaay!" said the children. We managed to get a few descriptions from the children: "I am going to paint him yellow and green, because I love corn!" said Dylan, sitting in the front of the class. "I wanted to color him in purple, but Charlie told me at recess that I should add some green too." explained Jimmy, 3. "I colored him all red so he looks like a big apple!" said Lara, 4 years old. "All the pencils were already borrowed, so I picked the only ones that were available. I didn't really care." told Logan. What colors would you like to see your Star Wars TVC: Boba Fett? Let us know in the comments! More news at 11:00... You get a Boba Fett! You get a Boba Fett! *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  9. Over the last couple of years, Hasbro has added holiday-centric figure waves to its Star Wars: The Black Series line. First, a Christmas wave of Stomrtooper was released in 2020. In 2021... they forgot. Then, in 2022, we got 2 Halloween-themed figures, along with 6 new Christmas-themed figures. And just when we thought that it was all for this year, we managed to get our hands on a leak for an upcoming holiday release... Star Wars: The Black Series - Thanksgiving Edition! The Thanksgiving Edition wave will include 2 figures: Darth Vader as a pilgrim, and Jedi Master Plo Koon as... the Thanksgiving turkey! Vader will come with a Porg turkey (Porgkey?), while Plo Koon will have a pumpkin pie, and a turkey carving set, in order to operate on his turkey head. Since the Star Wars: The Black Series Halloween edition figures were not available for Halloween but closer to Thanksgiving, and the Christmas figures started to be available around Halloween, we estimate that the Thanksgiving edition figures should be available around Christmas or maybe Valentine's day. More news at 11:00... I find your lack of yams disturbing. *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
  10. Imagine that... A huge, long Spaceball 1 spaceship, that actually could transform into Mega Maid. How FAST would you support that Haslab project? This would be a 100% done deal, and the campaign would reach its goal within minutes (unlike the previous 2...). A chance at redemption? Yes, we are aware that the movie Spaceballs was allowed to be made under the condition that no merchandise was ever made for it (Thanks, George...), but with Disney buying every studio and franchises left and right, it won't be long until Spaceballs falls under the Disney umbrella, and is made canon as part of the Star Wars universe! (One can dream, right?). If that happens, a Haslab of the Spaceball 1 ship could definitely happen! It could even be a Transformers Haslab project, since it transforms into the atmosphere-sucking Mega Maid! We get to see the transformation in the movie, so the engineering is already there! A Transformers x Star Wars Collaboration Haslab campaign? Sign me in! More news at 11:00... No sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again. *ToyFarce News is parody news for laughs and not meant to be taken seriously!
