Beast Kingdom has released official images for their upcoming 8" The Dark Knight – Batman Dynamic 8ction Heroes (DAH) Beast Kingdom is proud to introduce fans to the latest 1/9 scale, realistic action figure, The DAH (Dynamic 8ction Heroes) Dark Knight Batman. Based on the most popular batsuit from Christopher Nolan’s seminal trilogy, the figure uses high composite materials to recreate every fine detail down to the texture on the suit and weaponry. With 26 points of articulation, the Dark Knight DAH is one of the most posable figures yet, and includes three replacement mouths, a branded stand with a bracket, as well as five pairs of replacement hands for fans to recreate the most exciting scenes from the films! No Batman would dare leave his bat-cave without his set of high-tech weaponry, and this set doesn’t disappoint. Included are: One sticky bomb launcher, a grappling gun, bat darts, and a mini smoke bomb, plus Batman’s glider backpack attachment! It should cost around $110 and be up for pre-order soon.

We first saw these new 7" DC Multiverse figures of Batman, Joker and Azrael based on the White Knight comic book storyline back during Toy Fair in February. Now McFarlane Toys has released official images and details for the figures which you can check out below. The figures are due out later this summer. Azrael: Batman: Curse of the White Knight #1 (Comics 2019) War veteran, knight of the Order of St. Dumas, and now The Joker’s key recruit in the crusade against Batman— Azrael is the Dark Knight’s most powerful new threat, and the one living link to a devastating secret about the Wayne family’s legacy in Gotham City. Azrael accessories include sword with removable flames, and base. The figure also includes a collectable art card with Azrael from Batman: Curse of the White Knight artwork on the front, and character biography on the back. Batman: White Knight #1 (Comics 2017) After years of epic battles between the Dark Knight and his twisted archenemy, Batman faces his greatest challenge yet: The Joker has been cured of his madness and is now sane. The Clown Prince of Crime has changed his ways, fighting for good in Gotham City, and it may just cause Batman to go over the edge of his own sanity. Batman accessories include Grapnel Launcher, Batarang with line, wrapped Batarang with line, and base. The figure also includes a collectable art card with Batman: White Knight artwork on the front, and character biography on the back. The Joker: Batman: White Knight #8 (Comics 2017) Once the Clown Prince of Crime and Batman’s greatest Super-Villain, The Joker has been cured of his madness. Now, going by the name of Jack Napier, he’s been released from Arkham Asylum and has set his sights on politics—with hopes to save Gotham City from the one person he sees as its true enemy: Batman. The Joker accessories include long nose blaster, alternate Jack Napier head, and base. The figure will also include a collectable art card with The Joker from Batman: White Knight artwork on the front, and character biography on the back.

Todd McFarlane recently posted on Instagram this image stating he wanted to do a Batman figure based on his own artwork, featuring the big cape. Recently DC Direct did one of their Black And White statues bases on that look for the Dark Knight. And of course Todd's own company McFarlane Toys now holds the rights for doing DC Comic based action figures with their 7" DC Multiverse line. So doing McFarlane art style action figures seems like a no brainier, especially for Batman which is the character the big box retailers seem most interested in seeing on their shelves. Now if or when McFarlane ends up doing a McFarlane style Batman figure, the big question is how would they work the cape? When I first saw the cape being used on the Spawn Kickstarter action figure at Toy Fair back in February, my first thought was how that would be perfect for a McFarlane stye Batman figure. The cape is plastic with articulated hinge joints on it, so you can fold the ends of it in or outward. This will work great for some poses, but the down side for a cape of this type is that it will likely be heavy, making the figure more difficult to pose in certain positions. Another option and perhaps the better one would be a soft-goods cape with wires in it. I've seen some companies try this with their figures, and it didn't seem to work so well. However this is a route Medicom seems to be going in with their MAFEX figures, and while I've yet to get any of those in-hand, based on images they seem to look pretty good. So let us know in the comments, do you want to see McFarlane art style DC Comic figures done for the Multiverse line, and how should they work the cape on characters like Batman?
