  1. I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised to see this line revitalized. Looks good! Hopefully Hasbro will rerelease the Temple of Doom wave which very few of us ever found.
  2. New toys!!! Especially Star Wars this year. I hope to see new environment pieces and some new "big" things (besides the turbo tank).
  3. Good call on Jabba. He does look better in person, but still not interested. And I wouldn't worry about losing out on the BP's...I can't think of any that were impossible to obtain given enough time.
  4. After hearing that the new Yavin/Jabba BP's and the new ESB wave have ben hitting I made a toy run tonight. I hit up a Toys R Us and Wal Mart with no success, but stopped by a Target and found all of the ESB wave. On my way home I stopped at my local Target and found the Yavin BP, but passed on Jabba. Pretty sweet haul tonight!
  5. After seeing the first five episodes I'm not a fan. The spoken dialogue is awful, it's trying to be edgy banter, but it falls waaay short. I do however, like the dark tone to the show. Bazooka getting killed in the very first episode--kinda makes ya think no one is safe. Animation is solid too, this show's got a lot of potential. Overall it's okay--I just hope the writing gets better cause so far, it sucks!
  6. I said Kup because I am a huge fan of the 1986 movie characters and would love to see them all made with the same awesomeness that Cyclonus was made with.
  7. I stopped at two Targets today and they both had only one Sunstorm/Rachet left each. I snagged one for $4.99 that I'll give to my nephews as a gift or something. I don't collect Animated, but for that price I couldn't pass it up.
  8. Here's a quick shot of the interior of the Defiant. I just got Blocker and Charbroil off of Ebay the other day, so GI Joe had an outer space adventure lol.
  9. I am really torn here. I want Grimlock sooo bad, but $150 is really expensive for something that much smaller than MP OP or Megs. I can only hope that Hasbro will release him here in the states perhaps this holiday season.
  10. I agree completely although Hasbro hasn't done it as much with the 25th as with line previous lines from 2002-2006. The thing that has gotten me to cut waaay back on my 25th collecting are all the reused parts. However that does make the figures I do get that much more exciting when they're all new.
  11. No offense, but that's the craziest thing I've ever heard! It's not like you have to carry the crawler around. Haha can you imagine some ten year old kid in 1987 crying because the Defiant he got for Christmas was too big for him to have any fun with. Wait a sec, y'know what? I was a a ten year old kid in 1987, and this thing was and still is awesome! Anyways, I still haven't committed to buying the Flagg, the Whale still eludes me, but my current vehicles I seek are the BUGG('88) and Hammerhead('90).
  12. Found the new 5-packs at TRU and Target tonight. They had all three: Joe, Cobra, and Resolute. I snagged the Joe pack which is pretty sweet despite the fact that these are versions of figures I bought in 2007.
  13. I thought for sure he'd at least come up to Prime's shoulders, but from the pic he looks to be Starscream's height.
  14. Even though it's pricey, it's still a good set giving us four "new" figures. The Vader looks to be the 2004 VOTC version I think. I'm not sure what previous figure the Jedi Master uses, but I can appreciate that he has ball jointed shoulders, knees, and possibly elbows too. The little boy and girl are good uses of the 2003 Ashla and Jempa youngling figures and the other boy uses the oldest body of all: a 2000 Power of the Jedi Anakin Skywalker figure with a new head and soft goods cloak. If I were into prequel figures, I would definitely get this.
  15. Hey YoJoeBro82, nice room! It's very organized and clean, there's not a lot of clutter which is good. HissCommander, I really like the TMNT setup and the GI Joe framed pamphlets. Did you have to cut them up at all to get them to fit? Also here's a link to my collection if anyone wants to check it out. Enjoy! http://forums.toynewsi.com/index.php?showt...8363&st=150
  16. I picked up Wheelie today at Wal Mart.
  17. I stopped by one Target today and called another, both with no luck.
  18. I saw this pack once back in December and once last week at TRU. I decided to not collect any of the DVD packs because I already had most of the figures, didn't want repaints/retools, and can wait for them to single carded release of the ones I do want (Quick Kick, Dusty, etc). I will have to go through Ebay however for the MASS device, the Weather Dominator, and all the other freebies like the TV camera and control elements on the cart.
  19. I already have the original, but even if I didn't I don't think I could shell out $100 for a re issue. How much did the Mobile Command Center re issue go for in 2003? That was close to the same size as the Terrordrome and I don't remember it being $100.
  20. I don't recall Hasbro ever doing that, but I wouldn't mind. Case in point: I want a Moff Trachta figure from last year's comic pack, but don't need or want the Darth Vader he comes with.

The Amanin/Sunber set is worth it, trust me. Tanks's uniform is green and dirty, yes, which i know turns some off, but it's story accurate, and his head is swappable with other Imp officer figures so you can make a clean Sunber if you want. The Amanin warrior is awesome. It has great detail, looks a lot like the source material, and is an all new sculpt. Of the three Wal Mart packs, Amanin is the only completely all new figure. It's taller than the 2001 POTJ figure as well.
  22. I just got done watching part one and that was awesome. Great intro of him sitting on a couch in a speedo impersonating Jabba. Yikes~lol! I will be watching more. Any idea when this came out?
  23. Ibtisam is based off of Dorovio Bold's body type from last year's Evolutions three pack. Nrin's body is based off of Luke's 2006 VTSC figure, so you are right. I thought they were using Wes Janson's figure, but you can see the difference in the pics. And even though Nrin is using Luke's body (that doesn't sound good, does it?), he's not as short as Luke, he's actually normal height to most other figures.
  24. Thrawn and Kaarde are kinda short, aren't they? I'll tell ya, Hasbro didn't skimp on the Amanin though. He's a good head taller than the original and Sunber is standard Imperial Officer size too. I haven't lined up the X-Wing pilots next to Luke, but they're based off of last years Rebel Pilots Evolutions packs, so they're only as tall as them.

    Damn, Damn, Damn

I haven't seen these new five packs in upstate NY yet, but I could be persuaded to get the Joe pack. These look to be definitive versions of the characters and while I was frustrated that I bought them when they came out over the last two years, I've since sold them and am ready for these figures. This is the reason why I will not start collecting the new Marvel 3 3/4 inch line is because I know they'll be making better versions down the road. I find that Hasbro's sculptor's take a few waves or years to hit their stride.
