  1. Look, I love Mattel for the work they have done over the years and for the unforgettable childhood memories they have provided, but this relaunch smacks of desperation. It feels like they have stopped and started the line several times over the last few years with no particular direction in sight. Just make MOTU figures and hope fully people will buy them. And if the first attempt fails, just try it again with a slightly different head sculpt. Mattel's MOTU relaunches is the DC movie universe of toys.
  2. This kind of reminds me of a Hasbro exclusive 3 3/4 in. Vader that's completely red. I think it was a holiday exclusive, perhaps? Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anywho...
  3. So did anyone watch Episode I in honor? I considered it for a moment and quickly decided against lol. I was definitely hyped up about the movie back in 1999. I taped the trailer off of Entertainment Tonight and brought it with me to friends' houses to watch.
  4. I'm in full agreement regarding the price point and the testing ground of modular playsets, and have been wishing Hasbro would do something like this for this for years. A BAF for playsets. I sold all my modern stuff years ago to focus on vintage Star Wars but did back the Barge. Now seeing this stuff too I think I may jump back into modern collecting. At least with a Jabba's Palace focus.
  5. I voted for Hoth Rebel Trooper but congrats to Lobot. I'm not sure why people went bananas for him...I mean I would want him eventually but more as a "sure, let's get him out of the way", and not "I need this figure in my life right now!"
  6. Love Joe's but I think I might love the original Lego castle even more in this instance!
  7. @JayC thanks for offering up another super awesome contest, dude! I just shared the link on Facebook through The Empire State Star Wars Collectors Club page. Hope this qualifies!
  8. There are a lot of great figures on that list but I'm giving my vote to Tiger Stripe Wolverine for best figure of 2018. Bishop was a close second though.
  9. I only watch three of the reviewers that are listed and will have to check the others out at some point, but I'm giving my vote to Future Cyborg. These guys are funny, weird, and I love seeing them tear open vintage toys in the 1980's. Add in the cool animation and music and it's a win!
  10. I gave my vote up for the Rogue One Assault Tank and feel that Hasbro could have made it rather generic and bland, but really pulled out the stops and made the toy something special.
  11. Figure looks okay but I'm not liking the black outline in the mouth. I hate to say it but Mattel lost their DC mojo. Did I hear that it was because the Four Horseman stopped working for the company?
