  1. PREDATOR - PONCHO Updates A few quick updates to Poncho. I found him a more film-accurate vest (from a Stargate Atlantis Col. Sheppard figure). I also modified the T-1000 head I originally used, to get the likeness a little closer: I sanded down his chin and jaw line to better match the shape of Poncho's face. Then, I repainted the head with a darker skin tone and tried to be more accurate/cleaner with the camo face paint this time.
  2. Updated Casey...I hit him with another coat of matte finish, tried adjusting the head/neck height:
  3. Thank you all! He was a lot of fun to put together. I'm going to add some new studio shots soon -- I hit him with another coat of matte finish to cut down the little bit of glare -- and some WIPs. Fugayzie - Thank you! I've been a fan of your work for a long time. It means a lot that you like it! Bond - Thanks, dude! Where you been?! Lady Jaye - I said the same thing when I put the vintage head on the body. I was amazed how well it fit proportionally and how well it matched aesthetically. Hauke, JoeRhyno, gruntcast and spidersam - Thanks!
  4. Hey everyone! My TMNT Classics turtles felt a little lonely, so I wanted to give them some company. Enter: Casey Jones! I had the idea when I got the new NECA Rambo figure, who's build and clothes reminded me of Casey. Combining parts from Rambo, some other figures and the vintage Playmates Casey Jones, and sculpting all the added details (like his hood, ripped sections on the shirt and pants). I found the accessories in various places - McFarlane Sports figures and Fisher Price doll house sets. I gave him his broken bat, golf club and golf bag...and I added a few accessories as well to bulk up his arsenal. Recipe: Head & Shoulder pad - Playmates Casey Jones Upper Torso - NECA Rambo Lower Torso - NECA Rocky Arms - Expendables 2 Gunnar Hansen Legs - NECA Rambo Feet - NECA Sin City Kevin Now, on to the pics!
  5. Belmont - I'll definitely cue up Long Tall Sally for the video...I also advise listening to that and the Predator theme while looking at the pics, it really heightens the experience Ron & strangefate, thank you! So, I've been playing around some more with these guys, trying to refine and detail them...the main figure I've been tweaking has been Billy, as I wasn't very happy with his likeness and the head sat strangely on the body. Here's the updated Billy, with new head and added details:
  6. Thank you! I'm glad you were inspired...Dutch really needs backup. I definitely want to see pics of your team when you're finished! I'm curious especially to see how your Blain and Poncho turn out. I've been continuing to refine and detail the team since I posted. I found a better head for Billy that has a better likeness and I'm toying with the idea of giving him a more movie-accurate flak jacket/straps. I found a perfect backpack for Hawkins and I got Mac a more accurate gun/ammo box. For Poncho, I definitely want to revisit his head as well...resculpting the chin is a great idea! It might be worth resculpting the nose a little as well. I'll post updates soon. Be sure to let me see pics of yours when you're finished!
  7. Thanks, guys! JoeRhyno, for the heads: Billy - WWE Mattel John Morrison Blain - WWE Mattel Kane Dillon - NECA Apollo Creed Mac - WWE Mattel Ezekiel Jackson Hawkins - NECA Prometheus David 8 Poncho - NECA T-1000
  8. The Dutch figures recently released by NECA blew me away...so much so, that I desperately wished they would make the rest of his team. So, when word got out that they would not be making them, I decided that I wanted to have a set one way or another - even if it meant making them myself. I started with Dillon, using the NECA Apollo Creed and a Jungle Patrol Dutch with some assorted parts. Once Dillon was finished, I was so happy with how he turned out that I was even more inspired to make the rest of the guys. Next came Billy, then Poncho, and before I knew it I had put them all together. These are made using all NECA parts from assorted figures, a couple of Mattel WWE parts, and accessories from wherever I could find them. I still need to detail and add parts, such as Hawkins' backpack and Billy's webgear, but I wanted to share where they were. I'm happy with how they turned out, and I'm content with them until maybe film accurate head sculpts become readily available, at which point I'd swap them out. This was an absolute blast of a project, and I highly recommend that if you want a full team to fight your NECA Predators, go ahead and give it a shot! Now, here are the pics. Check out my photobucket album for all the pics, including studio shots!
  9. That's a great idea...anything would be better than that gigantic Breaker head! And I agree, Mike Prime, about the flak jacket being the biggest flaw on this figure. He needs a smaller one, more in line with the original.
  10. This is the only one so far that I don't care for. There had to be much better/more creative ways to use existing parts to make him look more like the original figure. Also, I'm assuming the goatee was added to further distance him from Law or whatever.
  11. Yeah, this might be the best yet of the reveals. It looks the most polished of them so far.
  12. Based on that list, I want enough of the figures that if the price isn't too crazy outrageous I'll buy in. I mean, if you count Footloose in (Club membership figure), and the secret 13th bonus figure, it adds a little value...and if the resale prices on Dial Tone are any indication, I'm sure the resale value on the figures you don't want will help make up for the sub price.
  13. The Slaughter's Marauders set needed to include Sgt. Slaughter. If ever there was a time to do right by the fans, this was it. Only 3 of the 7 are previously unreleased characters...no thanks. The Dreadnoks set is amazing and I will be getting one, definitely.
  14. Good stuff! That head looks much better.
  15. It puzzles me why a definitive Catwoman like this hasn't been produced...superb work! She looks powerful and sexy, just like she should. I do think the face is slightly too Silver Age and would prefer more angular/feline features...but it's such a minor quibble it's not even important; I'd buy this figure in a heart beat. I can't wait to see the next figure in your series!
  16. Wow, what a beautiful custom! I never had an issue with the DCUC Penguin, but yours completely blows it out of the water and makes me wish we had gotten one closer to what you produced. Brilliant work!
  17. Spikor would be great...he's always been one of my favorites. That custom is cool, but the face is too human-like for me. Like with Clawful and Leech, the goofy cartoony heads are where it's at.
