  1. I have the tpb as well. Great read for its time.
  2. I think Marvel is taking steps in the right direction with their 7-11 program. I don't know all the details but I do know that Marvel and 7-11 have partnered up to bring comics back into the 7-11 stores. This is a good move on Marvels part. It puts the product right there in the open for a potential impulse buy.
  3. I guess we'll have to wait & see. I like what Bendis has done so far with New Avengers though. Can't wait for the first trade to come out.
  4. The Florida City Wal-Mart had a bunch of the new Fantastic Four box sets @ $19.96 each. Not really interested in it at all. Thing appears to be the Trenchcoat Thing Mr. Fantastic looks terrible IMO Sue & Torch are repaints of the FF box set I think. I don't have the FF box set so I din't know for sure. If anyone wants one plmk and I will head back there and try to grab you one.
  5. I found some ML8 at Cutler Ridge Target yesterday. I was shocked since they never have anything new. Storm, Iceman, Iron Man, Doctor Octopus, Ultimate Cap. All on sale for $5.85 Florida City Wal-Mart still has the earlier series of ML. I have not seen anything higher than ML5 at Wal-Mart. South Florida sucks.
  6. Those look pretty sweet! Probably only getting Asajj Ventress though as I already have the other 3 seperately.
  7. I'm getting my DVD from Netflix so no extras for me. I only do Unleashed figs anyway.
  8. Well I think it is a combination of Qui-Gon, Obi, Padme, Palpatine, Shmi, Council, plus Ani himself. But, he was SUPPOSED to turn to the Dark Side. By turning it allowed his child to save him in his later years thus bringing balance to the Force. Anakin was a martyr type.
  9. Need a handful of Unleashed. Where are some good sites to get them from? Looking for: Han Solo Boba Fett IG-88 Aurra Sing Tusken Raider Stormtrooper General Grievous E3 Anakin E3 Obi-Wan Chewbacca Darth Sidious
  10. If anyone can find some Unleashed at Target I am in need of the following: Han Chewbacca Aurra Tusken Raider IG-88 clone Trooper (regular) Stormtrooper Boba Fett Sidious General Greivous E3 Obi-Wan E3 Anakin Have some MOC ML for trade or will buy. Please LMK Thanks!
  11. they look real cool, especially Greivous
  12. Is it really good? I might have to buy it. Or better yet have you burn me a copy

Great pics Jay! I am lovin the Green Lantern line. Really cool looking figures. I'm also digging the Identity Crisis and Batman: Rogues figures. Where are the JLA figures? Not the box set but the regular carded figs? I need a job that's sole purpose is providing the funds for my toy & tpb addiction!
  14. http://69.93.119.2/photosSHTC/showgallery.php?cat=675 Looking sweet!
  15. I love my hobbies. Much like commo_soulja I collect TPB's and figures. The only lines I collect are Marvel Legends, DC Direct, Marvel Select. Which is alot for me. I do it because I love comic books and characters. I enjoy seeing the figures lines along the shelves on my wall. My wife is OK with my hobby as long as I don't go insane in doing so. Sometimes she gives me grief over it but in the end she knows that I am going to do it regardless. She also knows that I sacrificed my figures when she lost her job and we were only 1 income. I sold all of my ML and DCD so we wouldn't be screwed financially. Now that things are better I decided that I would like to re-collect those figures. My family and in-laws think that it is a waste of time and money. I know for sure my father-in-law feels that way and pretty sure everyone else does as well. But, I don't care. I pay all the bills, the kids have new clothes and toys, we don't go hungry. So screw it. I could waste my money on drugs, booze, strip clubs, etc. but I don't.
  16. The POTC figures look really good. Haven't seen them in person but I have the latest Toyfare (92) in front of me. If I had some extra $$ I may pick a few up. I definitely want the Elizabeth Swann figure. Hmmm...Keira Knightley
  17. I'm excited about the Identity Crisis figures. Deadshot, Zatanna, Hawkman, Dr. Light, and Green Arrow for the first series. C'mon those are great choices who,for the most part, have been long overdue in being made into figures. I only hope that they go well with the other lines.
  18. I think Whedon won't let us down with the Danger Room situation. I have to re-read issue 8 again. When I got home Wednesdayd I had so much to do and I gave it a quick read through before bed. I'm gonna re-read 6-8 today . At least Whedon will be staying on for another 12 issues. Cassady will be doing rotating arcs with Steve Mcniven. Good news as AXM is one of the best books out there.
  19. I actually dig this song a lot. Does anyone have their CD? If so is it good? I'm gonna see if I can find some info on them and maybe a couple of demos.
  20. Thanks for the heads up Mr. Wayne. I have now de-programmed that piece of crap 94.9 MEGA Latino & Proud BS off my car in favor of some F&*K(*& rock man!
  21. LOL, no wonder where they got their inspiration for the Ambiguosly Gay Duo SNL sketch. Seriously, thank god we don't live in that era of comic books. I don't think I would be able to read any since they were so corny.
  22. I would love it if DCD were $7 like Marvel Legends. But the biggest problem for me with DCD is that they have too many sub-lines. JLA, Alex Ross JLA, Batman: Hush, Batman: Rogues, Batman: Dark Knight Returns, Batman/Superman, Teen Titans, Green Lantern, Batman: Long Halloween, etc. That is just too much for me.
  23. I am the total opposite. I like both companies, I read both companies. I read much, much more Marvel than DC. I fell that Marvel's characters are better and more "real" than DC. I don't know how anyone can say that Marvel's movies have been on the downswing since they have no competition. DC hasn't released a comic film since when now, Batman & Robin?? I am going to see Fantastic Four and Batman Begins, but I can say that I am totally turned off by that stupid looking Batmobile. As far as toys go I collect Marvel Legends first and formemost. I do like DCD but my main problems are that they cost teice as much as a ML and they seem to like to only make Batman and Superman figures. The other figures they do make are so obscure to me that I don't even contemplate a purchase. Don't get me wrong there are tons of DCD that I want to buy but ML comes first. TV wise Marvel doesn't have anything. Smallville, which I have never watched, is a fan favorite. So are the JL and TT cartoons. I have to say that I can not stand the Teen Titans cartoon, ugh what a piece of crap IMO. It would be great if Marvel had a nice Marvel Team-Up -ish cartoon where lots of different characters could be featured. DC has better writers? Who?? ###### Johns, Morrison and Jeph Loeb??? What about these guys; Bendis, Millar, Straczkynski, Brubaker, Milligan, Whedon, Bedard, etc. Geez Marvel has some great writers pumping out work for them. I think both companies are going to have great years. There is so much fantastic stuff being solicited from both sides of the street. That is the way it should be. I think there is too much emphasis placed on who is better and not enough on the good both have to offer.
  24. I must be the only one who doesn't like the AR Batman. I prefer the HUSH Batman over this one. I do however like his Aquaman and Black Canary. My problem is I plan on getting the JLA (current series of figs) so I don't need any other to intermingle with the ones I will get. So the only figure I will probably get is Black Canary since she hasn't been made part of the line yet. If I don't get the JLA Aquaman than I will defnitely get the AR Aquaman. He looks really good. The box set John Stewart looks pretty cool, but I am sure they will re-make him in the Green Lantern line.
