Shown below via Adventures in Collecting are images from an event in NYC where Playmates Toys was showing off new Teenage Mutant Ninja products.Among other things shown where new remastered 1998 TMNT Turtle Figures that will be released at Walmart in July. Also show were Mutant Mayhem figures of flocked Young Splinter, Ray Filet, and baby Bebop and Rocksteady.
Finally another look at the sketch turtles figures which will be released as Target store exclusives.

What appears to be a Hannibal Lecter Silence of The Lambs 7" Ultimate figure has been spotted in the background of NECA's new Walmart Collector-Con live-stream video. NECA did a Hannibal Lecter figure back in the day for their Cult Classics line and they have done an 18" version. But assuming the figure seen in the video gets released, this would be the first time they have done an Ultimate version. When more details become available we will be sure to let you know.

Shown below are in-hand images for the new Masters of the Universe Masterverse Snout Spout figure from Mattel which is available and shipping from the MattelCreations website.
I think Mattel has done a pretty solid job with this figure. In particular I love the headsculpt with the 5 points of articulation trunk and you can also move the ears and tusks which is nice. The eyes have light pipping in them. They look red without light on them and yellow with the light.
The figure doesn't have actual water spouting capabilities but it does come with a translucent water effect piece you can attach to the end of the trunk or even on the top of the axe he comes with. The backpack uses red plastic that match the shoulder pads and has three clear and blue plastic water canisters sculpted on the back of it. There is also a place to store the Axe on the side of the backpack if you don't want the figure holding it. There is a hose that attaches from the top of the figures head to the top of the backpack and then two longer hoses that attach to the bottom to the backback that go around to the front of the figures belt. All the hoses are removable. On the belt their is a moving water dial which is a nice added touch. The figure also includes two pairs of hand, grip hands and close fisted ones.
My only minor complaint with the figure is I wish they had toned down the colors on the figures glove more in keeping with the Classics or 200x versions. Otherwise I consider this to be a near perfect representation of the character in modern form and while it will run you $33 plus s/h which for me was about $40, I am more than happy to be adding it to my collection. -

Today LEGO revealed their upcoming Mario sets including King Boos Haunted Mansion, Bowser’s Train, and Peach’s Castle.

I recently purchased the complete line of McFarlane Toys figures based on the 1977 "New Adventures of Batman" in the style of the Filmation animated series. My only mild disappointment is that I preferred that they would have been based on the original 1968 version, that the hips would also have had sideway joints for better articulation and that the capes would have been plastic instead of cloth. However, this retro line, based on the vintage DC Filmation cartoons that I grew up with, inspired me to create a set of "wish list" renditions of more DC characters in the same style from the other series such as the 1966 "New Adventures of Superman," the 1967 "Aquaman" (with Justice League & Teen Titans), and the 1968 "Batman with Robin, the Boy Wonder" series. I hope folks like them and who know? If McFarlane Toys sees this, perhaps they'll make them a reality!
I wouldn't mind seeing Penguin and the JL in this style.

There is also A Amazon exclusive 3-pack with Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul. It is suggested that the Maximus figure in the three-pack will include and alternate un-helmeted Maximus head. However in a video Todd McFarlane posted he also shows a Platinum Edition Maximus without the helmet but doesn't actually make any mention of it. So right now the assumption is that if you want the un-helmeted head you either have to get the 3-pack or hope you can find the Platinum Edition chase figure.

Convention 2024 season kicksoff with news of the first official Hasbro panel coming to us on March 30th from 3-4 PM PST at WonderCon 2024 in Anaheim, CA. Not sure what / if we will hear about but Transformers and other Hasbro brands are mentioned in the panel details below. Stay tuned to Tformers for all the news and updates has they happen.
