  1. This may get some harsh comments, but I don't want any of these figures to be re-released. I believe this series has the ability to be an all time great and eclipse marvel legends as the best line in the recent marvel/DC era. Short-packed figs such as gentleman ghost and waves such as wave 5 are not fun, I understand that. However I feel these as well as some other HTF figs makes the chase fun. For one, I absolutely hate collecting things that are easy to find. This line intrigues me a lot and when this 5 pack of wave 5 releases the values of wave 5 will drop drastically. I feel that's a shame for the overall mystique of the line. I am not rich, I am not a scalper, and I surely don't have any of the super high dollar figs. I enjoy the chase and look forward to finding that super HTF DC classic at the flea market, comic shop, or a steal BIN on epay. I guess I appreciate the chase but I am NOT a completist so I do have sympathy for those who may have paid 400 for wave 5 with it now coming out in a 5 pack. Is anyone with me on this issue?
  2. I have seen both red and green parademons at Target, so they are not TRU exclusives. I don't understand this exclusive thing. Clearly the green lantern is not an exclusive. Is this not the 3rd time its been released? They really need to stop re-releasing the same figs and continue to come up with new characters.
  3. For all the attention this set is getting both positive and negative, I was able to buy the red hulk baf complete thruogh this forum for 35 shipped to my door. Deals are there to be had but you have to look. As for the $10 price per single fig, it seems about par for what everybody else is doing. I'm just glad I didn't have to buy any of these to complete my hulk. 35 for the baf without having to buy a fig or drive at all, can't beat it for an "exclusive" series
  4. Got crossbones this time around. I missed him on the first pass of the ares series at Walmart. This may be the best looking fig hasbro has put out other than fin fang foom. I also picked up another guardian if anyone is interested in trading, just figured i'd throw that out there.
  5. I second the guy that goes to flea markets. I bought the following from a flea market over the past 2-3 years carded ML DEADPOOL- $5 DESTROYER- $10 DARK PHOENIX- $15 SILVER MOON KNIGHT- $5 SILVER SURFER SERIES 5- $3 ABOMINATION VARIANT- $5 BLACK SPIDERWOMAN- $5 TRENCHCOAT THING- $5 UNMASKED GREEN GOBLIN- $5 loose ML's (all 1 dollar) cable series 6 kingpin face off wolverine box set beast You can't beat this at all, I mean really a $5 carded deadpool, the best flea market find in my life green goblin
  6. There seems to be a lot of talk on this forum about the switch to 3 3/4 inch figs similar to the star wars style figs. I personally think this is pretty awful and I will never buy one of these, but I really enjoyed the run and have some cool stuff to show for it. I was brought into collecting ML's around wave five when one of my good friends found a Goliath at retail. He explained to me how this was a chase fig and how it was rated the number one toy in toyfare. I wasn't really into action figs at all, but these were so cool and I really love the look of them in the packaging. I hang these carded on my wall. So..... I have a few figs that are just superb in my opinion. I want to know what everybody's favorite marvel legend fig is, you can list a few if you want. Personally, I just want to see what everybody else likes. As much as I haven't liked a lot of these toybiz ML's, the FIN FANG FOOM baf is my favorite item in the legends series. I just can't say enough about it, it's huge and looks superb. My favorite non-baf is deadpool. Please post and let me know some other opinions. Thanks FIN FANG FOOM BAF Deadpool
  7. The last Yellow Daredevil I saw on ebay ended at 95 plus 8 shipping
  8. It's pretty funny you say that toybiz packaging looked bland and boring. The change in packaging simply put me off to collecting these new hasbro figs. My collection is on card and I think the toybiz clamshell with comic in backround was great. These new hasbro packages are bulky and much larger than the toybiz ones. Plus they look like garbage to display on card. However, I loved the choice for an annihilus baf and am trying to complete that and will probably go after brood queen pieces through trades as well.
  9. I found two of the nissan skyline Super treasure hunts with the real rider wheels along with two regular nissan skyline treasure hunts. Also found 7 of the 1966 batmobile. All the same night at the same store. A pretty good night indeed.
  10. Those new superhero squad look great, I can't wait to pick up that chrome green goblin and spidey. About the walmart employees, is there anything you can really do. Some people are nicer than others and there may be ways around this poor system they have in place. If anybody here has a 24 hour walmart around they know that the unopened boxes come in the isles around 11 o clock. It is the collectors duty at these places to look at the palletes and find what they want. If you ask a worker to open it up, they usually will. But of course there's some of those unfriendly people who say that stuff is not going out tonight, come beack later in the week. That's when you ask your girlfriend or wife or somebody to distract the wokrer by drawing them away from the palletes. Pack the cases into your cart and head to the garden section (by the way nobody works there at night), then take your keys out and open away. True story, just sunday night I got 11 of the hot wheels batmobiles along with 2 super treasure hunts and 2 regular treasure hunts of the nissan skyline. It has also worked for some of the rarer marvel figs that you just cannot find on the shelves. It may strange, but sometimes it's the only way to get what you need.
  11. I was able to pick up the iron spider-man, venom and lizard for 3.87 here in virginia. There still are quite a few rhinos, dock ocks, and black spider-man's laying around
  12. I just saw pictures of these and think they are really neat. I was just wondering if anybody collects these or likes the upcoming spiderman and ff4 lines. The only current one I got was Hawkeye and Captain America because I wasn't crazy about the character choices, but I sure can't wait to get a hold of that super skrull, movie green goblin, and venom, and the silver surfer. If anybody has information on when these are supposed to release, that would be wonderful.
  13. I have spotted both silver and green arm hulks in virginia, and don't like either of them. As a collector who likes to keep figures in packaging, I loved the design of the toybiz packaging. This new packaging is cheesy, however, I love the Annihilus build a figure as I was extremely dissapointed that the fantastic four movie series 6 version was cancelled
  14. I am a venom collector and just saw this figure on a toy site. It looks really neat and I want it a lot, but i've been following the spiderman wave through series 5 until now, series 18. I have never seen nor heard about this green venom figure with serpents. If anyone has this figure could u please send me a picture. If you know where this figure came from, please reply and let me know. I do want this a lot, so if you have one to sell or trade, please let me know: it would be greatly appreciated
