  1. Sigh, more and more I am seeing these toys upset people more than excite them. Why are people upset that they are giving us MORE to collect? That's a question there folks. This could be MUCH worse. There could be NONE of these for people to walk into a store and buy them in North America, at 1/3 the price is even better. It was not long ago that TFs were only being reissued in Japan so lets not send the message that we want to go back to that. I dont. All of us need to pause and think before we freak out over news like this. Think about the fact that it is your *choice* to buy Hasbro or Takara. Seriously, that is something TF collectors could only say in the last year or so. If we dont embrace these things they will disappear. Bottom line, just buy them. Buy them all. Load up. Make them popular and they will keep coming. More than anything, enjoy these toys. That's what they are really for.
  2. Open them man or you'll end up like me without any room left in your room. And yeah, I am opening mine now to clear space.
  3. Look here man: http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=2315
  4. TFormers has reviews of most all the first Wave of Energon. 5. Yup, we got them in the Bay Area. I passed on them. The Prime looked so cheaply made in the box I could not see spending $40 on him.
  6. Its anything goes man! Just impress the judges and you could win!!!! There is no restriction on the store. It could be anyplace, showing anything, anywhere. You name it. Get creative. Like I saw a table at TRU with a comments box but there were no forms on the clipboard to fill out. IHO, that says is all about TRU! That would have made a great entry! Come on enter! Money is on the table calling your name. Go go go!
  7. I have the key to Vector Sigma and I am a Maximal. @firedevil@ So watch out! Especially you CD! @firedevil@
  8. Come on guys. You all got digital-cams. Go out and take some pics for the Best Toy Shop Photo contest!!! We got NONE, ZERO, ZILCH entries so far. This is easy money people. What's the hold up? Is it too much work for a contest something?
  9. We understand man...but there is no charge to hang out and talk to people. I like to think that we come together over TFs, but we hang out because of the people. BTW, anyone looking for RID stuff send me your want lists. I got loads of it MISP I am dying to sell or trade. Just leave me a PM here with your list.
  10. That is not a bad trade for the pre-transformers version, tho it is NOT a Diaclone. As the link there shows it was was made by ToyBox in Japan. Diaclones were made by Takara. If you want a real Omega Supreme, get one online. They are about $80 or so now in decent condition. Even with a box they are about $100 or so. That's way down from where they were just 1.5 years ago.
  11. You can pick it up off the Super7 Web site. They have a store online that you can get the magazinea and other goodies at here: http://super7magazine.com/modules.php?name...e=Shopping_Cart For $8 you can get the special Dreamwave die-cut version that was made just for OTFCC 2004. They are limited to just 1000 and about 500 of those were given out at the dinner. Hope that helps you! Wheel-Jack
  12. Lots of news and some really cool posters coming our way! http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=2113
  13. October is almost over and we will be closing the TF Top 100 and posting the Top 10 Transformers toys of the month. So stop in and place your votes for your favorite figures in October before the poll closes on Friday HERE
  14. Amen bro! I never thought I would say this but there are too many Transformers now. They are loosing their appreal for me. Especially with Energon coming there is very little to look forward to with it being 1/2 repaints out of the gate. Other than the Alternators, what is there? I am eyeing some of the new stuff Takara is coming out with. Astroboy and that Henshin reissue with the Ultraman costume is utterly cool. And I like some of the Saint Seiya stuff I am seeing. What else are people into other than TFs these days?
  15. Its not hard to see - Prime = $ale$ Unfortunately, money makes the world go round.
  16. Get the Armada one. Its more like the G1 Unicron and will be more cherished when Armada is long gone and forgotten.
  17. 20th Prime is going to run you about $75-$100 depending on the demand and place you buy it.
  18. Well you can't do exactly that. However, you can track the topics from your "My Controls" panel. See the "Track this topic" link up above there in the yellow bar there? Just click on that and it will add the topic to your subscritions list. You can check on just those from the "My Controls" panel in your login account. Hope that helps some. WJ
  19. I might spring for the 2 pack and Sideswipe, but at 99 bucks, i will have to pass on Sunstreaker. Buy theway, does anyone know when and where OFTCC will be next year? Saddly, OTFCC 2004 is in the same place again. I really do not like that Hotel or show venue. It was expensive and small. The worst was there is nothing around there, its in a nowhere-ville office park. We were all trapped there for the entire time with one rather expensive restaurant and bar to go to. I honestly am considering NOT going next year because of the place its being held. WJ
  20. Note that the price BBTS is quoting is just a little over the actual cost of them if you were at the show. That's really a damn good price all things considered.
  21. Yea, about 30 mins of waiting for things to resync each time and it lost my attention within a hour. Get a book to read. Its time better spent. @firedevil@
  22. The Black Perceptor is technically not a Diaclone. It came from Takara's Microman "Micro Change" line that was also repurposed for many of the G1series toys. Soundwave, Megatron, Blaster and some other non-vehicle TFs came from the Micro Change toy series. They are actually much older than the Diaclone series toys. I a have a MC Reflector set that says 1975 on it. The Blitzwing figures are chaeper becuase there are a lot of them and the KO version is nearly identical to real one. The fake has no provisions to fire missiles. They both say Diaclone on the wings. If you can find a real one in the box they worth MUCH more. W-J
  23. 5000 is a lot. They will be available, but may be expensive when they first come out. Give it 6 months and the prices will drop.
  24. Diaclones can vary in price A LOT. I have paid a little and a lot for them. I would say $75-$150 for the common ones is what you will be paying. Sets can go for much higher starting at $200 easy for an Insecticons set or a Devastator set. The Batttle Convoy and larger vehicles are well over $200 now. A Battle Convoy (the original toy the Optimus Prime mold is made from) just went for over $500 on eBay. Which sucks because I a really want one of those. Morbo is right about the Diakron toys. Very limited and rare. There are a few non-TF molds that were released under the Kronoform name that can be had on eBay for around $20-$30 like the Multi-Force set. Remember to check and make sure you get the set of 5 riders with it. They are often missing. Some MIB figures do go for less, especially the Italian GiG ones that go under the "Trasformer" name. I would not pay as much for them since they are missing the riders and they came out well after G1 was issued. Though supposedly they are actual left over Takara Japan stock that was repacked for GiG. If you see one for a good deal, look really close and make sure its not from Tiawan. There are many many Diaclone sets that look very close to the real thing but are very cheaply made. If you dont see the silver Diaclone logo on it, or it says Tiawan on the box its a crappy clone. Avoid it unless its under $10, and even still its crap plastic. There are actually a lot of Diaclone toys out there. Even some really cool robots and model kits that never made it to the Transformers line. I've posted a few here. The big bug looking guy, Warudaros, was supposed to be the King of the insecticons. If any one is interested I can post more pics of other Diaclones I have. W-J
  25. Thanks for letting me chime in! I would love to see a Hordak statue. Please!
