  1. Wow! That is a fantastic Jean custom. I'm kinda over the Phoenix attire. I'd prefer to see some more Jim Lee or New X-Men Jean figures. But, the Phoenix outfit is the best known so I gather that is what we will get.....eventually...they are very slow with the girls in this line.
  2. I love the character of Storm. Have no interest in Halle Berry playing the character. They really should have used someone else for the role....preferably somone who could do the proper accent. Halle just decided she couldn't do the accent & so Storm lost it altogether!! Definately the weakest of the cast. Though I can't blame Halle entirely...she didn't have much to work with.
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing a Who catergory. However there is going to be little to no new figures released between now & later in 2010 when the new series starts. Aside from the 2 Classic sets ofcourse. Was finally able to find myself an Empress of the Rachnoss! She is the second last of the bigger scale figures I needed to get. The last being the Cybercontroller set with the throne type thing.
  4. That price is each figure. Pretty much what people are paying for HotToys & all those other 1/6 scale figures. Hopefully it doesn't take them too long to show the uniforms. It will be interesting to see how they go with that. As for the heads, Data does look the best. Picard has eaten something sour. And I wouldn 't have chosen Worf's season 5 hairstyle, he looked much better with the longer hair from season 6 & beyond.
  5. Some news on 1/6 scale TNG figures from Dragon Models!! http://toysrevil.blogspot.com/2009/04/sttng-16.html They will cost you the Earth though: "July 2009-release, with a SRP of 13,440YEN per (US$140 / SGD$210) / 11,420YEN for pre-orders (US$119 / SGD$178)"
  6. In a greater sense, you have to ask to learn. People have been asking why others collect JLU since the line began. "They're crummy, they don't move enough, they can't stand" etc etc. After the millionth time you've explained your love of these figures to folks, it's time to simply say "If you don't get it, then don't worry about it...different people like different things!" I truely believe if you don't understand why people like toys like this....than you never will. Some of us can buy 'crap' & think it's fantastic. Many cannot comprehend this.
  7. New images of wave 2 at Scificollector: http://www.scificollector.co.uk/ Captain John has been given a different face to the proto's above, Scifi felt this look captured the character better: Ianto Jones Toshiko Sato Blowfish
  8. A wise man once said...if you have to ask, you'll never understand.
  9. Wow! Destro looks freakin awesome too! Good year for Joe SDCC exclusives.
  10. Holy hell! That is awesome. She looks really good.
  11. Well I for one am damn excited to see a 12" Baroness. It is a slight shame it is not a comic version, but I don't mind that much. Now if I can just get a 12" Scarlett in the regular movie line I will be one happy collector.
  12. I had the 3.75" figures on order with my Aussie dealer. However with all these stories coming out about International releases not including the Bridge & Transporter consoles....I'm going to hold off for a while. That's in the UK & Canada anyway. I don't think the figures have been spotted at all in Australia yet.
  13. Wave 4 images: Here's my crew: And DST have one again confirmed there will be no Cylon number 3 "D'Anna Biers" due to issues with Lucy Lawless's merchandising contract....or lack thereof. - Cancelled D'Anna proto
  14. New 2-pack on the horizon for BSG fans...a Boomer/Athena set: Upcoming Leoban/Kara set: Lee & Dualla are out:
  15. My mistake, these figures are not due till July. Here is some info from the new distributor Re:creation http://www.recreationplc.com/news/view/ ... r-toy-line No word on International distribution.
  16. She is on DST's home page: http://www.diamondselecttoys.com/
  17. You want Rand...here you go: That's right folks....Nurse Chapel AND Yoeman Rand in TOS wave 5! Cheers DST. Not sure where the other figures are...must all be exclusives or something?
  18. Hey all, A member of the Trek forums poosted a nice pic of the upcoming TOS wave 5 Salt Vampire: It's looking to be an excellent wave IMO.
  19. I should say, I will wait till the 4 Ghostbusters are in peoples collections, then I will pounce! I don't need any more half finished lines, so I wait. It may not be the best idea but it's something I plan on doing a lot more nowadays.
  20. DST have troubles with the minimates, though the Marvel figures seem to do ok for them. I won't be buying these until we see all the Ghostbusters.
  21. The 'Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince' figures shown above are due this month.
  22. Oh wow, that hat looks really cool Dark Horse. I was amazed Hasbro released Mutt on his bike without the hat!! I guess there wasn't enough money left for the tooling. I'd definaley like to see these heads you have planned such as the Mohawk Ugha. If you like making hats, perhaps you could also try Elsa's hat when she was riding in the jeep. Her goggles would be a bit hard, but that would also be interesting.
  23. So are we thinking we will see a maskless version of Scarecrow?
  24. Hmmmm... It's definately between JLU & BTAS. JLU wins in character diversity. BTAS was everything to me as a kid & I still love them, so...it's a hard choice. Think I'll go with JLU, you can't beat excellent character diversity.
  25. Hopefully someone will! I love the JLU line, & it seems Mattel love the JLU line...how could they not love a line that is soo cheap to produce? (comparitively) I know they recently stated they could only make 3 unique characters a year, the most recent being Cheetah & Amanda Waller. Ah, well there you go. I have heard about the current sets shelf warming. A friend said his stores cannot get rid of the 6-packs.
