  1. Every so often, the factory misses spots when glueing...I'm guessing that was the case. A lil super glue and some pressure would put him right!
  2. Are you kidding me?! JRJR was the one who was pencilng X-Men when it became a cultural juggernaught He basically created Nimrod, "Nu Skool" Rogue, Shadowcat's iconic costume and tons of other canon X-men designs. He was doing "real-world" costumes on characters almost twenty-five years ago. Go to wikipedia and they have the creators names listed with said characters. I don't want to attack your decision, but He's the reason why I draw...
  3. What I don't get is all the people that say MODOK is too small?! His upper torso and lower torso is almost equal to the total height of Wasp & Spider Woman. "Scale Nazis" will not be happy!
  4. Ethical violations aside...and his ludacris prices too! But can you imagine what those could be in the hands of a Cast & Mold customizer? Lets' say he goes in on a order of blank bodies right? The glue used to bond those things isn't the heavy commercial grade, so separating should a sinch?! But the fact that they would be able to order the exact pieces they need for said customs. I understand that you don't think it prudent to resell these things but, C'mon! think of the potential!!!
  5. Oddly enough, I think the existing ML will be discounted by Mid-November...Hasbro is shipping but not hitting shelves until '07. A loophole if you will, to get the sales associated with Christmas, without dropping figs.
  6. To tell the truth, I think that was his point...to show everyone how redundant DC characters are. Can anyone honestly tell me that his designs for the "Avengers" in Superman/Batman not look killer? If they wanted to impress me DC would release them as figs...
  7. I'm in the gay part of ML town...not a single female to be seen! The closest is "Scarlet Mitch"!!! No Psylocke, no Rogue, no Warbird, no Kitty, and no FF Invisible Woman!!! And there have been ML10 Mystiques but, dude looks like a lady!
  8. I think I'm gonna have to ship them my Patriot! his arm snapped clean off...crappy QC havin' a&$es!
  9. Oh?! Just to spoof another thread... 7 of my least favorite artist! 7. Kubert Bros. 6. Jon Bogdanove 5. Dan Jurgens 4. Steven Platt 3. Michael Turner 2. Jim Lee 1. Rob Liefeld Rob Liefeld draws worse than someone with Cerebal Palsy! Or an epileptic, during a seisure no doubt...I posted on his bogus fan site and not a one person commented on my stuff?! Jim Lee has swiped his own stuff for years...He took pencils that he did for X-men and re-applied them to Wildcats/Batman/Supeman! Mike Turner doesn't even ink his pieces anymore! he just darkens up his sketches using Photoshop... Steven Platt chose the worst artist ever to start swiping! (Liefeld!) Dan Jurgens is a cheap Jim Lee knock off, just working with DC didn't help, and he killed Superman! Jon Bogdanove also killed Superman, and his work was Superthick...like sausages wearing capes... Adam & Andy Kubert both lack any skill, I hated them on UXM and Wolverine! You could switch them both out and not tell the difference, talk about falling far from the tree?!
  10. Hey! that last pic isn't Spidey!!! But yeah, I'm partial to John Romita Spidey pics (Sr. or Jr.) John Romita Jr. John Romita Sr. Yeah, the father and son combo actually did the art chores on an anniv. book! But I think McFarlane is the go to guy for most Spidey tats, why look like everyone else?
  11. I coulda sworn I commented on this when I saw it... But in any case it looks on model like the mini they used in Jedi! Supreme Effort!!! Keep up the good work!
  12. "Bamboozled, Hornswaggled, Run-Amok...we didn't land on Sherwood Forest, Sherwood Forest landed on us!!!" If I gave a hoot about Ult Marvel I'd be down right offended! But, I am thinking of turning a HoM Iron Man into modern armor when I see em!
  13. Yo man! Marvel.com has prints for sale on their site... They even have some out of print stuff too, I haven't seen the only poster I've been looking for (Hearts of Darkness; Ghost Rider, Punisher & Wolverine) but they have tons of the classics and newness! Custom Marvel items @ ZAZZLE!
  14. Yeah I could go on and on about this topic...Me being an Illustrator and all! John Bryne, Dave Cockrum, Frank Cho, Adam Hughes, Alan Davis, George Perez, Walt Simonson, Tim Truman, Barry Windsor-Smith, Simon Bisley, H.R. Geiger, Gary Larsen, Jeff Johnson, Bart Sears, Sergio Agrones, Greg Capullo (before McGarbage warped his style!), Old Joe Quesada, Mike Mignola, Marc Silvestri, and Larry Stroman They've all influenced my style on a personal level.
  15. 7. Steve McNiven 6. Travis Charest 5. Alex Ross 4. Eric Larsen 3. Joe Mad! 2. Art Adams 1. John Romita jr. JRjr has done almost all of the 616 and I don't think any other artist has come close to his runs on Iron Man, X-men and to a lesser degree Spidey! Art Adams did a bunch of X-Men annuals, when I started reading the book (UX An. #12, New Mutants Annual, and the awseome Asgardian Wars) Joe Mad has this grafitti style that often gets confused with anime, but I know better! Eric Larsen is the only founder of Image that did't pass his artistic chores off to some protege...dedication! Alex Ross is single-handedly establishing Comics as traditional art. He's spawned a ton of copycats, but they don't have the child-like facsination like Ross... Travis Charest is uber talented, he just needs to streamline a little, so his books ship on time! Id love to see him tackle a book like Iron Man or Fantastic Four (mini-series of course!) McNiven is an up and coming talent...Iwish he was on AXM, or UXM...his style is so crisp, but classic, like a combination of Bryne & JRjr.
  16. HA! Azrael looks just like Deadpool...except completely different! @loll@
  17. "Fleck Tone" it takes out all of the guess work. They have cans for sale at Wally-World, and the varieties are just bananas!!! (Marble, Granite, Sandstone, & Quartz?...tons of different colors)
  18. I'm thinkin' Storm's body & legs and Mystique's arms? I don't remember off hand how close they are in scale but those heels and that bum...cheeky monkey?! And I'm also assuming that a lil dremel work from the cheek bones down to the jawline wouldn't have her looking so much like Corky from "Life Goes On"!!!
  19. I've seen a simple swap where Cable's head and arms have been added to Stealth Wolvie's body and HE LOOKS AWESOME! Sure, it's an easy mod but the shins look kinda off. So grab one, do the do, and for the first time Cable is scale appropriate...
  20. Oddly enough you have Robin as an Avatar? You must like to hedge your bets huh?
