  1. Very simple if you have the VvV Torch flames.
  2. Opened my Trouble Bubble and RAM today and was shocked to see no head set for Breaker or Trouble Bubble. Is this a mistake or was this planned. The box shows the accessories. If this is a mistake, will Hasbro replace it? Any help is appreciated.
  3. i saw the cartoon and it gave me chills....I thought the animation was realistic and very exciting...and the story was exciting and geared for adults...snake-eyes was bad ass
  4. Ordering Online....the only reason I have anything....the local stores around here (Northern NJ0 are terrible....Nevertheless, I enjoy the figures not the hunt. As long I get them, I don't care how.
  5. Ya I don't care for the round glasses either. I prefer the cartoon version. This custom is a very good example of how a cartoon version should look like... http://forums.toynewsi.com/index.php?showt...2048656&hl= This guy also did a battle damaged baroness using the exact same head and it is, by far, the best custom of the baroness that i have ever seen. However, for those of us who are slightly less talented, the above custom is suitable and much better than either original....hey, has anyone put a Scarlet head on the Blue Baroness to see if it could be an "undercover" Scarlett?
  6. Took the advice and added some red lipstick with a very sharpie...very small addition but does make a world of difference...Not sure what other people do with their figures but I buy the 24 figure wall display case from Wholesale Cases http://www.wholesalecases.com/star-wars-supplies.html#afsbm I have them hanging in my home office over my computer. Therefore, any little addition to make these figures look better brings me great joy. Does anyone else make modifications/additions to their figures? I do. For example: - Torpedo was given BBI Mask, fins, Rebreather, & a Marauder SOCOM pistol - Wild Bill was given a BBI Nightstalker helmet to hold - Beachhead was given nightvision goggles -Ace was modified with a BBI f-18 Hornet Flight helmet...I even drilled a small hole in the figure to allow for the cord to plug into his flight suit -Almost everyone has Maurauder guns - Flint has two BBi shotguns -Duke Silver backpack on Grandslam -Placed a single-pack Shipwreck head on the Comic pack....I think this looks a million times better. For some reason, i hated the blue hat WOuld love to hear any other mods/additions that people make.
  7. Take the single pack baroness and remove head....take sharpie marker and "color" green glasses black....take that head and place on 5-pack Baroness....See a sub-par figure turn excellent...Since I am a terrible painter and was afraid i would drip the paint all over the place, I gave the Sharpie a try...IMHO, it worked amazing and really is a major upgrade to the original Baroness figure...The bonus, the original head looks better on the single pack. Try it and let me know what you think.. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/est...74/PICT4709.jpg I also added a BBI sniper rifle, which also adds to the character...I always envisioned the Baroness as the type of chick who could pop a guy from a 1000 yards
  8. Orange County Choppers work great...might be hard to find in stores....Super detailed and perfectly scaled.....Harley Davidson also puts out a nice line.

Would never buy this line.....Hasbro should really just focus on the 3 3/4 ARAH line....stop branching off. Expand the existing line with bigger playsets, etc.
  10. This is 2008, I think. How does anything take six to eight weeks? It is amazing. While I am not complaining, I am just amazed that anything takes this long nowadays.
  11. My Doc was check was cashed....anyone know what the estimated wait time is on delivery?
  12. What is the third of the Big Three? Besides the Flagg and Defiant. Everything else was smaller than those two. I was trying to figure out the same thing. I'm guessing he's either talking about the Mobile Command Center (that was a pretty big playset), or the Terrordrome (if he's talking about big, as in popular). TerrorDrome, Flagg, & Defiant.....three most popular and I think expensive of the GI Joe playsets.
  13. Of the big three, this is my least favorite. Never really understood the appeal to a space shuttle...Now the USS Flagg, a different story.
  14. I want a complete retraction and formal letter of apology!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Hasbro does not even have a booth at NYCC....just got back....waste of time....Devil's Due couldn't answer a single question and IDW wasn't even there (I think IDW is the company taking over the comic line).
  16. It's not the thong, its not the sex, it is just a an awesome interpretation of the figure. The head sculpt is amazing and it is just a very professional looking figure. SWARM is also sick, but it is a tropp builder. I prefer customs of individual figures. Also, the SE Battle Damaged version is also sick and my favorite version of the figure.
  17. I love the fact that the filecards in the comic-packs, box sets, etc are precut. What do other people think?
  18. Wild Weasel 0- 25th Anniversary figure is by far the best offerring of the character.
  19. Let's see....The Baroness was held captive by the Joe's; she was also pregnant with Destro's baby, which was taken by CC and intended to be his heir....CC managed to blackmail Destro & Baroness into swapping the baby for Alexander McCullen & M.A.R.S....in issue 25 WWIII was started Cobra now controls the world and Gi Joe is basically spread out fighting little wars...CC has command of the White House and the world's nuclear arsenal....Gi Joe is trying to regroup and take back the world.....Devils' Due lost the license to the comic and we have no idea who is going to get it....please anyone who can add to this please do so.
  20. BBI Elite Forces Fighter pilot....the one that came with the Hornet
  21. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/est.../Acecloseup.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/estanley1974/Ace.jpg Going to add a 4-ACES decal to the front of the helmet. Interested to hear if people think this make the figure look better. Found an extra ACE/WW comic pack at TRu today and decide to get out the old DeWalt drill. Drilled a very small hole right below the vest/life preserver and the BBI Mask hose plugs right into the figure.
  22. I am not impressed. However, I am not a Larry Hama/Marvel fan either. I actually think that it is virtually impossible to read the Marvel comics. To me, they are extremely juvenile and cheesy. I think the cover art is nice, but the stories are written on a 5th to 6th grade level. I am not trying to start a flame war here.....I love the file cards written by Hama......I just think the post Marvel stuff is much better. Also, would love to see a Mature version of Gi Joe. Something like Marvel did with the Punisher.
  23. I hear what you are saying...I guess I dont fall into this category and forget that everyone is not like me. I would rather pay a little more and support the line than save a few bucks. However, i do think that if a solid product is put out....it will sell. the two products that you mentioned were junk IMO.....I wrote this thread b/c a guy on YO JOE states that a new TERROR DOME is going to be shown at TF 2008 with a price point of $119.99. I have no idea how he knows this, but we will see. I think if you flood the market with junk, it wont sell. Look at every Movie Line toy that is ever produced...except for SW. But, if once a year, a quality playset like GI Headquarters, Terror Dome, USS Flagg is put out. I think it would sell great. The most defining characteristic of these sets, again my opinion here, is that were very much like the figures. They were awesome and included everything but the buyers own imagination. Too many times, these new toys want to light up or make noise or shoot missles. HUGE MISTAKE. Make a vehicle/figure/set and let the buyer put the creativity into it. This is why the early Joe set/vehicles were awesome and they latter sucked
  24. Does anyone disagree with the theory that retailers would not stock large vehicles and/or playsets? I know I do. Here is why? TRU stocks everything from Elite Forces and their boxes are not small. The same can be said about the Star Wars Line. I think this eliminates that argument. Price? Ever see a Thomas the Train playset? I have because my three year old is addicted. Those sets are like $50 to $150 to $300 and those are geared for 3yr olds and up. Also, I was wondering about all the talk about cost and the increase. In the 80's GI Joes went for $2.99. In 2008, the go for average $5.99. I know Walmart is even cheaper. Based on this, a USS Flagg should go for no more than $200 or double the price of the original. IF a USS Flagg was offered for $200, they wouldnt be able to keep them in stock. Does anyone agree with this line of thinking?
  25. I thought Toy Fair started on Monday? How are we going to get pictures on Saturday? I hope you are right because I have never been so excited for Toy Fair. Could you please explain? Thanks.
