  1. You know...if the heads swap out as easy as the one mentioned on the link, it might be kind of cool to pick up a few extra snake eyes and make a commando joe unit by swapping out the heads of the other joes. It'll also be really easy to swap the heads of joes to Cobra troop figs to make them look like they are undercover or in disguise.
  2. Your right...distribution is a concern of mine too. Sometimes stuff can be found right away when I hear others report out what's in stores, but other times, it can be weeks before I see it in the midwest. Hopefully this will be an aggressive enough marteting campaign where it won't be an issue.
  3. I agree. I plan to do exactly what you said (build a few officers). I don't plan to go nuts on the army building like I have with the past other six packs (Vipers and Infantry), but the 25th is, for me, going to be a side collection to the ARAH collection I already have going. Still I wanted a few extra cobra troops just for display purposes behind CC and the rest of the Cobra agents.
  4. OK...I broke down and ordered some Cobra Officers online as a preorder, but I agree with most of you. The hunt for the toys, seeing them and grabbing them off the pegs is pretty cool. Thanks for the input!
  5. Just curious. I saw the preorders on on several sites for the new 25th figs. I am torn between preordering online (and spending more $) and getting the numbers I want or holding out and hoping supply will meet demand in retail stores which could cost lme less. Any thoughts? What do you guys plan to do?
  6. I am kind of bummed too. I was not all that fired up about the wave, but i was hoping to build up a few Munitia's as a special unit used specifically by the Baroness.
  7. The chamber is pretty cool. It would fit in great with what I am going to construct. I just have to talk myself into paying thirty bucks for it. Thanks for the link!
  8. Great ideas... Can I get those microman figs locally (US). I found them on ebay but from Japan. Any suggestions?
  9. AWESOME!!!! That is exactly what I am looking for! Thanks!!!
  10. I just recieved a shipment from the web address below (TOYNK-Toys-Costumes-and-Gifts). I used a case of Army of Darkness figs and some baby formula bottles (borrowed from my four month old daughter) to make part of Mindbender's lab. The bottles work really well with the figs to create the remnants of the great leaders used to create Serpentor. The Star Wars bacta tank will serve as host to the body of Serpentor. If anyone has any ideas for a nameless, faceless body (figure) to go into the tank, let me know. Just an idea for any Serpentor fans who want to recreate Serpentor's rebirth in a diorama. I think I paid around twenty bucks for the five main skeletons plus I got a couple extra figs and a lot of swords and shieds for extra weapons, etc. Enjoy! 11. I have had pretty good luck with this guy too. When I ordered the multiple stuff on ebay, the shipping ($5.00 +$1.00 for aditional figs) did not kick in, but I noticed he quickly refunded the difference that same day. Definately a site to keep an eye on... Jason
  12. I want to see the final scale on both of these items. For my 3 3/4 inch Joeverse I plan to use these as training robots (urban warfare tactics, simulations) either for Cobra or Joes within the headquarters or field. Just a thought. Jason
  13. Thanks for the heads up. I have been holding out on picking up some to convert to 3/4" scale, but with a price like that I couldn't resist. Just ordered two! Jason
  14. These new figures are not supposed to be the same size as Marvel Legends. They are roumered to be 3 3/4" and from everything we have been hearing I am pretty sure that is true. And just FYI Marvel Legends are 6". They are not anywhere close to being in scale with Joes. I must be thinking of another series. I picked up a Punisher fig to add to the "Plague 6 Pack" and he is slightly taller than the new scuplt joe figs. Either way, these new figs are pretty cool..
  15. Sigma Six has always been tempting to collect, especially when you can convert some vehicles to fit 3/4" sclae stuff, but I never really got into it. The only time I have picked up Sigma Six stuff was for "Toys for Tots."
  16. If I remember right, Marvel Legends scale is a bit larger (not much) than 3/4 inch which leads me to think they may not blend into my collection well. Could anybody shoot of a marvel fig compared next to a Joe fig?
  17. Mass retail would be great, but I hope sites like smalljoes and GIjoeHQ get their hands on them too. (I hate to think of all the people I will knock over just to get them off the pegs.)
  18. How bout 2nd generation? 25th Scuplt? 25th Generation?
  19. Tough call...the Viper Pit really helped me build up a Viper Army for my ARAH collection without having to get a lot of '86 Vipers. These 25th sculpts may have to be a collection in themselves (My wife just rolled her eyes) if they do not blend in well with my ARAH dominataed collection. I do have a few new sculpt blended into my collection, maybe these will blend too. I would probably get a couple just to surround the main Cobra agents with for display but not to the volume I did with the old infantry packs and viper pits (Man did my wife roll her eyes at that order...) Jason
  20. How did it go with the casting kit? Any luck? i have thought of toying around with one. Where did you get yours? Jason
  21. Here are a few ARAH customs using a few new sculpt heads I purchased from Aly and some from other new sculpt figs. I still need to do better with the eyes, but let me know what you think... 22. Wow...my wife won't be happy to hear about the adapter idea, because it'll mean more potential purchases for me, but I sure appreciate the thought. Curious to see if a demand will make it worth your time or not. So would you dremel down the neck so it fit the ARAH neck ball and just crazy glue it, or do you have a better suggestion? It would take some trial and error, but I have plenty of extra ARAH heads to experiment with in the mean time. I agree with the cheaper new sculpt parts too. It is easier to get my hands on those parts at a lower rate than trying to get ARAH similar parts. Not to mention that the new sculpts seem to take the paint better, especially in the arm joints. If I weren't so anal about my ARAH (pure)collection, it probably wouldn't be an issue. Thanks, Jason
  23. I was checking out cast heads at GoodtoGoCustums and Alyoshas Corner. (Great products by the way...) I noticed most of the cast heads are for fitting to the new mold style of joe figures. I have mostly a ARAH collection (A few new molds here and there), but I like taking the heads these sites produce and converting them to fit ARAH torsos. I have ordered quite a few heads from Aly and have been successful converting some to the ARAH style torsos, but hit and miss with others. I was wondering why more cast heads are not produced for the ARAH torsos... Is it a demand thing? Is it harder to cast some of the heads with old style neck balls? Is there an easy way to take those heads and convert them to fit ARAH torsos? I know nothing about casting... just curious. Thanks, Jason
  24. Great ideas all of them...(Even the "gang activities" one from Toiletmonkey (Sicko!!!) Thanks a ton. GIjoeking65
