The Movie looks to be a decent Sci-Fi flick, but since when do JOES need "Accelerator Suits" ? Since it's not 1982 anymore. The movie can't just pander to old school fans. I wish that movie could be made, but the bottom line is that the movie producers and Hasbro need to watch their bottom lines. They are money making (hopefully for their sake) companies after all.

Hey, Check Midway Target or Dwntwn Mpls...I swear I saw that set at one of the 2 fairly recently.
-
Very amazing....don't see a seam on it. Wish it could be mass produced and purchased for $15-20. Just don't have 150 bucks to spare currently.
-
Nicely done on all of them. Switch Gears is an interesting pick, but they must all be done eventually right? My only critique would be the weapon choice you made for Crosshairs. A sniper using a BAR seams a bit weird.
-
Yeah, I didn't hold out much hope of them still being there. Were you that guy I saw in the aile looking through the Star Wars stuff? I had my dark blue Weezer t shirt on Nope, that wasn't me...no weezer shirts and don't really ever look at the SW stuff.

They were all gone as of an hour ago.... : ( I was too late.

Almost finished with this custom, but I ran out of green ghillie suit material. The camouflage looks a lot better in person too. There are 2 greens that are close to each other in color, but get washed out by the camera flash. I need to do some touch up painting here and there, especially to his face paint, otherwise, I just wanted to extend the ghillie suit down the backs of his legs. Let me know what you think. And if anyone has any of the green ghillie suit things that came with spytroops guys that they want to sell me, let me know about that too please.

I've got a bunch of Cobra Army builders that I need to unload. Space, as always, is at a premium in my apartment and these guys have been chosen to go instead of my 25thA stuff. I'm wondering if I could get some opinions on what this lot is worth for the purposes of setting a reserve price on eBay when I list it. I'm probably just going to list it as one lot (I'm feeling a bit lazy) unless it would be far better for monetary reasons to piece it out. Here is the lot: Included: 2x Original televipers and accessories 2x Original Snow Serpents and accessories 5x Original BATs (3x repro holograms, 2x backpacks, about 2 sets of hands) 6x TRU exclusive Cobra troopers 3x Operation Sabotage Crimson Guard w/ helmets 1x Mail Away Agent Faces in CG disguise (someone has to keep intel on the Cobra agents when they move locations) 5x Original Crimson Guard (none are perfect, one has broken thumb, 2 have some loose joingts, 1 backpack, 3 rifles) 4x Original Vipers (3 backpacks, 3 original rifles, 1 weapons pack rifle) 1x Original Stinger Driver 1x Original Cobra EEL (no accessories) 1x Original Imperial Guard (no accessories) Thanks in advance for any info/advice anyone has.

I use Model Masers Acrylics. Dusty was made w/ Skin Tone Shadow Tint for the tan and Olive Drab for the green. The dark brown is German Panzer Schokoladen Braun.

Finished some new customs recently, thought I'd post em and get your feedback. First up is Dusty and Nullifier. I made dusty to look more like his cartoon version. I redid the cloth under his helmet too. I put it on the inside and made it a bit longer and I think makes for a more plausible placement for such a piece of equipment. And for Nullifier, I gave him colors more similar to appearances in the devils due comics. I view the nullifiers as shock troopers that are also pilots, so I gave him the SKAR (one of Destro's top sellers recently). Next: Rock & Roll and Law and Order. Rock & Roll is based on his Devil's Due appearance. This is my favorite look for him to date. I need to touch up the paint on his arm, it chipped putting the vest on. I also want to put a ball cap on him, just haven't decided if I should buy one or sculpt one. Law is pretty self explanatory. I need to make his white MP helmet yet, and I painted Order rather hastily, that will be redone soon I think.

Very clean mold as usual. I like the nod to the original with the blue gun, but why not call him Long Range Recon Patroller to be more accurate to his original purpose all the while still not dropping any potentially copywritten names? Also, any word on your custom contest? Last entry in your websites forum is still from Feb. 6th.

Is that REALLY how he appeared in Devil's Due? Well, I used a little artistic license with the addition of the animal skulls, but otherwise its pretty close. My scanner isn't working, and I apologize if this is not with in intellectual property rules, but here is a pic from the comic that I used as inspiration.

This is a custom of Skullbuster as he appeared in the Devils Due comics about a year ago. I need to do some touch ups around his face and flesh in general, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. The mask is not as bad as it looks either, the white photographs rather poorly. Its not great either, needs some work, but the picture does not do it justice. I'll try to add some more pics later that show some of the other details like the tear in his pants that I sculpted in to appear as he has been wearing them in the jungle for some time. Let me know what you think!

I've got some new customs. I have been away from the customizing game for quite some time, but I am coming back w/ a vengeance. Unfortunately, I need to work on my photography skills again as well (Sorry for the low quality pics). First up are Flint and Leatherneck styled after their cartoon and first release figure versions respectively: And I also have Shockwave and Kamakura, both based on their first figure release designs: Let me know what you think. Also, room for my collection is growing small. I have 5 vintage CGs, 2 vintage Snow Serpents, and 6 Cobra Blueshirts (from the TRU exclusive) that are going to go up on eBay unless someone here wants them. Send me a PM with an offer (Will sell to best offer, and no reasonable offer refused) if you are interested.

I'll take a shot in the dark.....more like a toss in the complete black... The Episodes being: Jungle Trap, The Funhouse, The Spy Who Rooked Me, Nightmare Assault And the related Figures: Recondo (Jungle Trap), Airtight w/ removeable Helmet (The Funhouse), Cartoon Zartan(The Spy Who...), and Dr. Mindbender (Nightmare Assault) Now I don't know that these are the greatest episodes, but I tried to pick out episodes that would allow for the release of new figures and stick to the half joe half cobra ratio for the figure assortment in the box sets. I think this would be a great opportunity to release a few fan favorites like Blowtorch, Sci-Fi, Low-Light, Wet-Suit and maybe even LifeLine, but I can see the figures I picked being made out of existing parts. I tried to be fairly realistic with the expectations and possibility when I did this little speculation. What do you think?
-
All I can say is WOW! Awesome team of customs. Truly impressed with your work. What is Robo-Joe made from? Did I mention WOW! And I really like mainframe...a bit more realistic (yet Sci-Fi) version of him from the Devils Due comics.
-
Way better than how Ace was released. I like that he was intended to resemble the original and all, but I don't think combat pilots leave the atmosphere very often Anyway, what/where is Ace's new gear from? I would like to give my Ace the same update.
-
Very Nice! Best EE version I've seen. What did you use to make the Jackets? Actually, can you just give a complete parts run down? Thanks, and awesome job.
-
They are neat, but I think you should mess with the values in photoshop to make them a bit "sketchier" so they don't look like figures so much as drawings of actual people.
-
Very awesome! Great execution on the paint apps. How did you make the chest logos on Jammer and Hunter?
-
Can't believe I've been sucked into this post...but I've got to say that if G.I.Joe was a bigger part of my life I would probably move to San Diego. I've never heard anything but good stuff about this group and wish I had support in finding figures. I do alright on my own, but with a group I'd probably have a Lady Jaye by now.
-
Lets just hope that Ewan McGregor isn't Storm Shadow.....that wouldn't bode well for Snake Eyes.
-
Nicely executed! I looked at the pics before reading how you did it and thought that it was the VvsV torso but could not believe it could be. I think the head is a nice choice as well. It doesn't have glasses, which seem to be everpresent on the character, but does have a solid Baroness feel. Awesome job making a good figure great!
-
YOINK! Definitely copying that idea....but I might give him the red shirt look. Very cool.
