  1. Wow! I'm stunned. Those are fantastic. I'd buy every single one if they came out exactly like those. Maybe you should strike a deal with Hasbro.
  2. I'll take a Chuck Norris please! I mean, if the sarge and the frige made it into Joe, why not Chuck?
  3. Absolutely blows "Space Ace" away!
  4. Man, that is incredible. Some of you guys do just amazing work. Better than the store product!
  5. I was really just wondering if the comics had explained this. Several images from recent comic covers had Snakes holding the sword left over right as well. The Ray Parks pose mimics one of them shown in this thread. In basic Japanese sword technique, there is only right over left. This is because if both swordsmen don't hold the same grip, many blocks don't work (you'd have to experience it to know why). Could be Snakes was purposefully posed into a secret "unblock able" technique? They did the same kinds of things in Star Wars, putting tennis and baseball swings into the forms to ramp up the visual fun factor. It’s what makes the ROTS and TPM light saber battles more visually exciting to most than ANH, where that one is the most authentic. Nothing wrong with it. I was just wondering if there was any evidence of something purposeful.
  6. Man, your home made life size Snakes is great! I'd almost hate to stand it by my night stand for fear of freaking out whislt heading groggily for a 2am potty break.
  7. Movie snakes looks very awsome. Why does he hold his sword backards though? Bad director or secret Arashikage form? Pictures hard master..."Right hand over left snakey, right over left!"
  8. Only found 21-b so far, and it just reminds me how well the original was done. The b version pretty much shows all the panels that spoil suspense and timing. Sounds like the others are better though. Still looking forward to them.
  9. "I am stting at 100 cobra single pack troopers, and 50 CGs, so i will do 50-100 of the Vipers, and 50-100 of the BATS. They look so nice!!!!! " Man, you guys have some nice Jobs!! I'll get about 2-4 of the CGs, the Vipers, and the BATS.
  10. "I don't do crazy ride around the state hunts blowing money on gas and snacks. I check local stores when I'm there already shopping or nearby (IE driving by them to get somewhere else.) I never go more than 5 miles out of my way and I've never missed anything yet." Alas, I follow the same process and never see anything. I gave in and ordered online.
  11. "Sailors and Bikers arent as cool as black suited commandos." Now that wasy funny! Thanks for the insight guys.
  12. To all you guys who are shopping online, what places are you using that has fair prices? The main ones I see (smalljoes, Bigbadtoystore, etc.) charge about 40% more per figure plus large fees for shipping. I thought about ordering a 2 pack and a single from one of them. Total cost with slowest available shipping would be about $35 dollars, which is crazy. Any places that sell for at least close to the actual retail cost (and actually have them)? Habro online/TRU online charge retail, but they never have enough figs for normal people to catch them. Thank you for the help!
  13. I am totally blown away. I mean, that thing 100% looks like it was made by a manufacturer to me. Amazing work! Just amazing!
  14. Wow! These switchers are good! I can't hardly open my own boxes (knife in hand) without tearing something.
  15. I'm 35 Program Manager for a fortune 500 corp. Own a nice house Have a wonderful wife and two children Am a little obsessed with keeping fit Am a Ninja Teach Martial Arts and personal safety to adults and children Love Jesus Am a Deacon Am a cartoonist Think TFs, Japanese Robots, Super Heroes, and the like are awsome! Nerd? Nah. A bit of an oddball. Surely, but who wants to be one of those "normal" guys who slug through life just to watch the next football game (nothing wrong with that, but there's sooo much more out there)?
  16. and Beast Wars Megatron is the most memorable of all TF bad guys! yeeessss! He was awsome!
  17. So is it up to each store? Well, at least I know now that the red tag does not mean "marked down" to the store. I'll bet 9 of 10 customers think it does though. sneaky snkeaky.
  18. Have any of you noticed that over the past few months, Wal-Mart has been placing toys in the clearance isle and marking them with the red clearance tags but with their actual retail prices?? What makes this appear strategic is that some toys in a particular line do have lower prices while others do not. In the case of TFs, all Chewbacca SW TFs have lower prices, but titanium’s, Metroplexus, and megs/prime 2 packs are labeled as “clearance” (red tag and all) for $15.99, $40, and $20 respectively. They scan full price as well. This practice crosses many toy lines. Spidey origins are marked with a clearance tag that reads $8.99 (actually, weren't they less than this at first?), Ghost Rider ultras (or whatever) are at the “closeout price” of $40, etc. All of my local Wal-Marts have this going on. Boo Hiss! Can we do anything about this? It seams sneaky at best and downright dishonest.
  19. I agree with this statement. In fact, I transformed all of my 7 movie TFs and didn't notice anything special about the transformations. That's after knowing to look for it! I "found" the features after reading about each one and thought "that's it?" Could be I just expected a little more. I like the toys. Just not seeing this automorph thing. In fact, I'm kind of glad. I want to transform my own TFs.
  20. Wow! It looks lifelike almost! I second the question. Where'd you get that Buffy fig? Great job!
  21. I saw something yesterday that said it all. A middle-aged man and his 7ish year old boy passed me in the toy isle and stopped at the TFs. The man took one of the movie toys from the shelf, looked it over, and put it back while shaking his head and saying "what crud! They finally make a movie, and none of them look like real TFs. What a waste." Meanwhile, his son was literally bouncing up and down (on the dad's foot no less) pointing all over and saying "wow! I want that one! Whoa! That this looks cool! Wow! Look at that one!" Unbelievably, the dad didn't even notice. He was too busy being irritated. I think Hasbro has a huge hit. I myself was slow to warm to these movie TFs. However, they do look really cool in hand and are a giant step forward in how giant robots might look. My only gripe at all is that the darned robot modes don’t stay together. That's going to disappoint at lot of kids. Especially since they look so cool and play worthy. Overall, good stuff!
  22. A 6" Doom from FFII will be high on my list!
  23. Um....you talking to me? I wasn't kidding. I really DO want that Cap. Make him with the moterbike and clip on shield...heaven in a box. Look at your X3 movie characters in 20+ years, and see if they hold up any better.
  24. When the 1978 Reb Brown Captain America fig gets made, my Marvel Legends' collection will be complete.
  25. Time to blow series 1 out the door at $1/each and get them the heck off the pegs! I'm actually wondering if Hasbro produced way too much or if sales are that bad. If it's the latter, it might spell problems for Marvel Legends as a line. Their fault for getting cheap though. People aren't stupid. Charge more and take a way the goodies....something will give.
