  1. Already went there and it does not mention the issues that are missing. The TPBs have all of those. I got the TPBs that they just released this past summer that includes Bane: Vengeance. What I need are the issue numbers of these events: Bane meets Killer Croc and breaks his arms Batman learns Bane was responsible for the assault on Arkham Riddler gets attacked by Bane Bruce's quest to save Tim's dad from Santa Prisca Catwoman's mission to Santa Prisca and any other issues that supplement the Knightfall/Knightquest arc
  2. Okay, so I got two of the Knightfall volumes and I can already tell that certain issues that contain key events that are referenced are missing. Can anybody tell me which issues of Batman that take place during Knightfall & Knightquest are missing so I can track them down? (ie Killer Croc's first encounter with Bane, Bruce's quest to save Drake, etc.) Thanks in advance.
  3. Well so much for a street date. Only TRU had gotten their shipment and it was only a case of the 3.75". Thery had to bring them out from a FedEx drop shipment. Every other place had no stock. Glad I just ordered online. I only needed Grinnah from the 3.75" anyway.
  4. bgiles, where? Were you the one who found them in Cherry Hill in Jersey? Which other figures were there? And finally please post the item number.
  5. Well after getting psyched up at the pics, I just got some bummer news that weakens my confidence in The Bridge as they cancelled the Azog 6" figure. Considering they only showed the dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf and now the cancellation of a big antagonist, this makes me wonder if Bridge is only going to focus on the main characters and not make others (despite what the pre-order listings showed on BBTS). I do not take that as a good sign for those of us who want an extensive selection of characters. Hopefully they will not cancel the 2-packs as one of them has Bolg.
  6. BBTS just listed The Bridge Direct's Hobbit Toys. No specific figures mentioned but they have the assortment types listed including a 3.75" Goblin Battle Set. Gee I wonder what that could be? Here's the link.. My pre-order came to around 400 for this stuff. Hobbit Movie Toys Listed
  7. spystreak, It's not going to be just 12" figures. here's an excerpt from the press release: "Timed to reach consumers prior to the December 14, 2012 release of the first film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Bridge will debut a multi-category toy line. The battle begins with Basic Action Figures, Adventure Packs, Beast Packs, and highly detailed Collector Figures. Fans can become real-life heroes with premium role play items including a Basic Sting Sword, a Basic Orcrist Sword, a Dwarven Battle Axe, and a Deluxe Sting Sword that features a blue glow just like in the film, bringing the thrill and the fantasy of the two films to life. The Bridge will reveal the 2012 product line to key retail partners in the coming weeks."
  8. Wow. Suddenly it's the end of the world for some of those guys (maybe it will be by the time the movie comes out...). I will reserve judgment until Toy Fair 2012 when I can actually see the product. I am curious though as to what standards a studio uses to award licenses to toys for anticipated blockbusters and how this smaller firm was able to beat out the veterans of several 3.75" movie lines. Curiouser and curiouser. My only other concern (as this is a relatively new toy company) is if they will recognize that the Hobbit franchise has a large and well established fan base and many of the people buying will be adults and be able to throw atleast a few bones acknowledging them (ie not just solid assortments of Bilbo, Thorin and Gandalf but occasional characters like goblin warriors, Beron). Four months til we know.
  9. Robbie: A person on Marvelous News called the Hasbro Shop CS number and they confirmed that they have the exclusives and they will be up today, but they do not know when they will be listed.
  10. It's now official. Mattel has the rights for The Hobbit. Here's the source: Coolest Toys This means for us to have any hope of getting the figures we will have to stick with online stores or order through the comic shops. My eyes will be glued to BBTS.
  11. They also said that to a limited extent, they will do the traditional style figures (0-ring). Of this style, I would really love to see more of the obscure army-builders like the Mega-Viper, Old school EELs, etc. Also, a non-arctic Quinn would be sweet.
  12. I'm stuck in the past. I don't need any new-fangled GI Joes. However, I would love to see a lot of the classic vehicles updated. Hmmm, separate thread maybe.
  13. What are the odds Mattel will ever get around to doing Granny Goodness and the Furies in DCUC style? I absolutely love those sadistic femme fatales and my New Gods collection will just empty unless those gals surround my Darkseid. I only collect New Gods and select Bat Man characters and need good reason to get back to DC collecting. Please Mattel, hook me up.
  14. Well, thegd.com has closed down. Sad really, I loved going over there. time to continue the discussion here. I can't stand Mattel taking the license since their distribution is so poor. Just get me a company that will copy Toy Biz'z style. I don't care if I have to pay a bit more for the quality, I just need to finish up what was started with LOTR.
  15. Thnx for some insight. If any of your friends can get info please share as much as permitted. Toy Industry News eh?
  16. Okay, now that the Hobbit is officially underway about how long does it take to learn of merchandising licenses? With the release scheduled for 2012, I would assume that we should start hearing toy news some time in mid-2011 at least with who got the rights to make the toys, not any specifics on product, but that's an uneducated guess. When does this kind of stuff start and when should we expect announcements? What process must be undertaken? Arrow, you may know. Also, who should get the toy license? I say anybody but Mattel (refer to DCUC and 200x MOTU distribution). I am torn on McFarlane. Their Halo figures are great, but I also hope that they consider I don't want statues like their SPAWN line. Maybe that's just me being a little paranoid. Still they seem a little more specialized and they won't be as readily available and I may have to go out of my way to obtain them. Hasbro is another good candidate. While I am not their biggest cheerleader with what they did to 6" MLs, they were passable and if they brought that scale to Hobbit they could be blended in with my current LOTR collection if done right. At least I have never had trouble finding a product of theirs and it is a recognizable brand name to all retailers.
  17. As we draw closer to the end of 2010 and have had a sneak peak of what's coming for 2011, let us share our hopes for what we want to make a happy 2011. Here's what I am looking forward to and hoping for. Joker (inspired by the art of TAS) At least one of the Furies this year Granny Goodness Infinity Man
  18. Dude, I hear you loud and clear. Normally I don't go for CnC figures. The only two I ever wanted from this line were Kalibak and Darkseid. I am a very casual collector of DC. I only collect a few Bat Man characters such as Riddler, Joker, Harley Quinn, and Robin, and the New Gods characters. It sucks royally for me that in order to get Darkseid I am going to have to spend a bloody fortune to get him.
  19. I think the point mike 33 was trying to make is that Hasbro is capable of making good toys in the likeness of the G1 characters, but they are choosing not to and it seems silly that to get our fix we are relying on these custom-made toys. A Classics Springer doesn't have to be of that quality, just give us a voyager class with accurate G1 paint jobs and alt modes. An example would be some of the classic figures such as Jetfire, Starscream, prowl etc. they are their G1 counterparts. Then, they give us a re-painted blades and call him springer. that is just lazy. They obviously can give us good quality figures to fit in with their price brackets, but for some reason, they refuse to give us what fans really want. Ultra Magnus is another example. I am in love with the city commander armor. He is absolutely beautiful. Yet, the base for it was Hasbro's 1,000th lazy repaint of Prime. Again, with all the resources Hasbro has at its disposal, they could have found a way to get us a G Ultra Magnus, but again they ignore it. G1 FOREVER BABY!
  20. "Legacy collection sales have been so far off the mark..." yeah. Because retailers won't stock their product. That is such a major problem that stores like Target and Wm who are stuck on waves from several months ago. How can I purchase stuff if the retailers won't put it out?
  21. This will be y first BotCon. Funny thing is that this takes place during my B-Day. BotCon+Orlando+BDay=PARTY!
  22. Six Shot+Pradaking=MINE I have waited forever for Sixshot to get another release and now is the time. Boy, this is the year of TFs for me. BOTCOn on my B-Day in my own back yard, Mp Grimlock, Bludegeon, and now these.
  23. got mine from my job at Best Buy. We had a door buster sale yesterday that was even better than my discount.
  24. Its still too soon to tell honestly. I want to see what the post-movie plans will be and how well Joe will survive with a T.V. show and merchandise alone. If it does well outside a movie year, then we can start judging.
