  1. hacking is wrong, but im not gonna feel bad about myself for looking, Lena Dunham. Not everyone gets paid to give it all away...even when no one is asking you to.

Any time something of a celebrities is "leaked" or "hacked" I half suspect it was intentional and done for the attention. "Who knew someone would break into my mansion and steal my sex tape!" "What? you mean to tell me the digital images I took of my naked body have somehow found their way online??? What are the odds!"

Glad i'm not the only "sexual assailant" in here. Feminism sure is a strange broad, ain't she, gents?

I was somewhat sympathetic to Scarjo although my previous statement applies to her too, but come on it happened already to one celebrity why make the same mistake and worse upload it to Icloud. I don't condone the hackers actions but I feel we should all be more responsible with what we upload, I'm extremely weary with posting say pictures of my daughter to Facebook because you never know what's out there. Don't get me started on Feminist agendas.

  2. I don't hate the concept of Darth Maul. I just hate what he has become. Oh, just like Boba Fett...it's like poetry!

Robot chicken legs, building C-3PX, etc...it burns me up that this lazy #$## is still canon.

I consider Darth Maul to be a lot like Liam Neeaon or Christopher Lee. Lots of potential for good stuff, laid to waste by bad storytelling.

I wish I had room for the really big stuff. You'll have to take some pics.

  4. this all-female Ghostbusters business is funnier than any sequel they could spin

Who doesn't want to see Tina Fey and Amy Pohler take on the rolls of Ray and Egon, Melissa McCarthy try to be Venkman-esque (how about a British "but-he's-way-out-of-my-league" love interest? I'm thinking Benedict Cumberbatch!), or some cast member from Bride's Maids try to channel Winston?

  5. rampant army building on the gorilla soldier is making finding a full set of Planet of the Apes classic series one impossible to find a retail...that is all.

    1. Rockzilla

      Rockzilla

If you liked Dawn of the planet of the apes, the Blu-ray at Target will include a free Neca Gorilla Soldier from the classic movies.

    2. Rockzilla

it will only be $23 which isn't bad considering the figure alone is $18-25 dollars.

In 6 years that I've been going , never heard or seen groping or cat calling. This group was started by 3 women from Philadelphia and sounds more like feminist group that does not like the fact that women dress up in sey out fits which this year was much less.

    2. featofstrength

      featofstrength

groping and unwanted touching is one thing, and im sure it does get handled seriously by the cons WHEN IT IS REPORTED. Cat-calls and leering...GET OVER IT. Use your words, grow some thick skin, and stop playing victim!

this article seems to be crying for some pretty fascist guidelines to combat "wonder woman's" insecurities about having her picture taken of her underoos while bent over

  7. Saw Monty Python's farewell show live, via satellite. The first act was pretty lame, but they really turned it on for the second half. Uneven, but a great experience overall.

And all of the above: more publicity stunts. The gay GL is in an alternate universe, the Muslim GL is just one of a dozen Earth GLs, and those Cap and Thor switches will both be undone by the time Avengers 2 hits. Mark my words. Marvel and DC will both pull this flash in the pan stuff every once in a while but it ALWAYS goes back to status quo. Any sort of major change is never permanent in comics.

    3. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

I can give a pass to the Cap switch. Falcon is a long time Cap ally. If they want to do a passing the torch story, this makes sense. Lady Thor reminds me of the time all of Rob Liefeld's Image books did a "story"line where they gave all the men boobs and all the women junk. I'm serious, it really happened.

All of this and they kill Archie too. Comic books are fun, aren't they?

  15. I got a few small naps in during "Godzilla." But it's okay: I was awake for the 10 minutes "starring" Bryan Cranston, and the 10 minutes featuring the titular lizard.

The "actor" (pronounced "Un-der-wear Mo-del) Aaron Taylor-Johnson takes over after Cranston exits. The brief monster fights are the only reason to stay beyond that.

    3. Rockzilla

      Rockzilla

Honestly I think it's only getting high marks because of how inaccurate the 98 Godzilla was. The characters in this movie were so stale, and the monster action wasn't innovative or new.

It wouldn't be the first time a movie franchise "reboot" got praise not on its own merits but because what came before sucked so bad the new ones looks good in comparison.

ha ha ha....Oh, I misread that :) I almost came down on you for "going soft" on a prequel.

  17. picked up Neca Dawn of the Planet of the Apes figures at TRU...LOVE EM!

  18. I preordered Thrasher Armor Batman from EntertainmentEarth.com noticing that it was (mistakenly) cheap at 22 bucks...today I get an email, with no clarification on it being any sort of mistake, but that they graciously adjusted the price of my order to 34 bucks. Bad business...I will be canceling.

Who framed Roger Rabbit and Hook are a big part of my childhood. In my opinion a very underrated actor who no matter the role he would give it his all, not something you see with a lot of the idiots that the Academy is calling actors nowadays.

  20. Great news everybody! Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have split up! Oh...wait...they can do more damage that way...http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/alex-kurtzman-roberto-orci-splitting-698159

  21. Why do they show "The Ten Commandments" at Easter but not "Ben-hur?"

    1. featofstrength

      featofstrength

huh? what does that mean? Have you seen "Ben-hur?"

    2. featofstrength

      featofstrength

"Ben-hur: A Tale of the Christ." The life of Christ intertwines with Hur's story throughout the movie: birth, childhood, the sermon on the mount, ending with the crucifixion. The teachings of Christ are stressed with far greater meaning than a "sword and sandal" movie." It also won more awards than "Commandments." Sure, the Hur half of the story is fiction, but the life of Jesus and how it affects and shapes Hur's life rings true Christian belief.

  22. Netflix finally got season 3 of Batman Brave and the Bold! Silver Age goodness!!!

  23. If we aren't going to bother to teach handwriting anymore, can we at least teach the kids how to hold a pen? There's nothing wrong with that pen, Joe College...or that one...all you had to do was sign your name, and you failed. It's the little things that separate us from the apes.

  24. dc collectibles is hurting my wallet...and so many more to buy: Owlman, Ultraman, Bizarro.

    1. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

I want them to stick with doing mainly New 52 stuff. That way it will be easier for me to stay away and keep my money. Ha to use a lot of will power to not buy all the Arkham stuff, will probably have to do the same with Batman TAS stuff. If they start doing classic DC figures I'll be in trouble.

    2. featofstrength

      featofstrength

I got my PS3/Arkham games late in the game...got addicted, and now still scrambling to catch up on the figures. I havent read a new 52 book, but some of the sculpts, along with DC Collectibles stepping up the articulation and quality, are making them hard to resist for me. Mostly going for Batman and Superman related stuff, but I got New 52 Swamp Thing...too good!

Also, I was really tempted to buy that boxset, but I think im holding out and hoping for Ollie with mask and Deathstroke in present day armor

    3. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

I like the season 1 looks well enough. The Arkham Origins DS I bought will stand in for "present day" armor. If you do see Spartacus, be prepared for some full frontal Manu Bennet (and everyone else)

    4. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

Also, the chick that played Not Talia from that one Arrow episode is also in Spartacus. More full frontal.
