This might put a stop to a Wonder Woman movie
Nah, If the series had been a success it probably would have killed a movie...like when they denied Smallville a young Bruce Wayne because that would somehow confuse people at the same time with Batman Begins?
Id say its a good thing for chances of a WW movie. Though that all depends on Green Lantern right now, if its a success and the studios want to take chances with DC superheroes who arent Supes or the Bat.

might get Scarecrow, but the rest I can pass on

I havent seen Wreck-Gar or Perceptor anywhere in my area

That's sad news...and I just saw Superman the Movie on the big screen at a local theatre this last friday

Does anyone know if the classic Ecto 1 will fit the current figures........some of you GB superfans have to have one to know.
No, way too small to fit the Mattel figs...though they do look good standing outside it.
-
but to get to an Ecto-1, Mattel is gonna make us shell out for GBs with removable packs first

easy pass for me this year...not a big Swampy fan, but his figure does look nice. Though, Im always worried about those figures with rubbery "skin"...like how sensitive they will be to storage and display in the long run. Id hate to pull a box of DC figures out of storage years from now and find that Swampy is all cracked looking or has melted over the whole lot

I can live without a Cringer or Queen Marlena, but I gotta have Stay Puft!
I can sympathize with your sacrifice. Always seems to happens with so much stuff coming out all at once. None of what Mattel has this year really gets me excited, though Swamp Thing and Stay Puft are close. What im really gunning for is Hasbro's lost Raiders of the Lost Ark wave of figures, which im sure is as overpriced as all "exclusives" are

sounds about $10 - $20 too much for essentially a rotocast figure, even with whatever plush-feel gimmic it has. I mean, cmon...the PKE meter with its bells an whistles was well worth $60, and the 12in dolls had super articulation, accessories, and had to pay out for likeness rights with their $60 bucks a pop.
$70 for a hollow figure and a cardboard backdrop? It doesnt even look as good as the AA bank!

good actors? debatable. But Nolan-casting is becoming as uninspired as Johnny Depp/Time Burton collaborations.

so sick of Lex Luthor in the movies
What, Superman III not enough of a break?
-
to the original post: you actually found GL/DCU anything at your Wal-mart...Id say thats some good luck.

In Snyder i trust, he can do no wrong. At the least the movie will be action packed, visualy stunning wiith a good Rep of Superman and a ok story . Maybe there will be hints of future villains in this one. :-)
yeah, I hope they sacrifice all that boring Kansas sentimentality to work in a few more slo-mo fight sequences.
Did you guys see the new Luthor character model?
-
Wait a minute.Don't you guys mean the Library Ghost at the beginning of the first movie.I don't remember a scene where the guys bust a ghost in a theater.I agree Vigo Must be made.As well as a terror dog.
The movie theatre ghost appears in a "all-hell-breaks-loose" montage towards the end of Ghostbusters 2

Finally got the subscription renewal email!
-
got this from Matty in response...
"We do apologize for the inconvenience. We did double checked your Club
Ecto-1 subscription and it is still active. As long as you didn't
receive any cancellation email, your account were still processing your
order."
bad communication + broken english = bad business

talked to Matty CS on the phone yesterday. They confirmed my credit card info and pretty much said "we're working on it". At least Ive talked to someone on their end to be able to hold it against them if this mess falls through

Damn dude, that blows. I know that they only try three times and sounds like they ran the second charge attempt on Saturday. I changed mine on just the original order from the link they give in the rejection email and it went through fine.
Hopefully Im in on the 3rd try. Kinda peeved because I thought that I changed my card to avoid this crap months back when the first figure in the sub came out, then they sent out the "failure" email that they told everyone was an error and to ignore, thus cheating me out of one of my 3 strikes. And then the second attempt email was sent on a Saturday, knowing that it take 2 business days to get the next attempt. That pushes it to Tuesday, hopefully, to know if im getting the sub. or not and if I have to place an order for Louis Tully by fighting the usual Masters crowd for bandwidth on Wed.
Digital River needs to lick my ass.

I got another "failed" email from them on saturday. I went into my original order info and changed my credit card, as it seems the last time i did so, it didnt stick. Sent customer service an email as well. Hope I got it all squared away before the sale this week.

this piece of crap is Ebay bound once I get him
don't hold back featofstrength, tell us how you really feel
I made my Ray figure some better fitting goggles from some pen parts and the goggles from this crappy Wolverine...
and as for the "Marshmallow Mess"? guess I can spare the dollar and some change for some white out if I want to do a decent job myself.
Honestly, people over on the Masters boards #@$#@ about their Disguised He-man club exclusive, but at least he comes with the Cosmic Key as a bonus. Thats what irks me the most about the ecto exclusive...I understand making the main figure a variant for the most part, but the extras are lacking in imagination and execution.

NBC Gives 'Wonder Woman' Her Pink Slip
in DC Comics

The animated Wonder Woman movie DC put out a few years ago was excellent, probably the top of what theyve done so far...I hope if she gets a shot at live-action, the story is as good
