Not sure about the title, but I just think that the title refers to Luke being the last of the Jedi at the moment. Rey's only started her training and Kylo Ren killed off the recruits Luke had before. At this moment I have hope for the movie.

I wish it was 4 words to keep the flow of all the trilogies.

Don't forget, Jedi is also plural! :D

  1. My town is getting the largest Alamo Drafthouse in the nation...I dont get the appeal.

  2. Star Wars is as popular as ever! I just bought 3 3.75 scale TFA tie fighters for 9 bucks each.

Been busy trolling the Ghostbusters reboot... now that its been stomped flat, I'm free to roam again.

  3. The Killing Joke adaptation was absolute trash.

I'm reading reviews that are in complete agreement. The wife seemed interested in seeing this movie but knowing what a Batgirl fan she is, I think I'll steer her away from it. Can DC stop sucking off of this and DKR now? Please? How about NEW Batman stories?

  4. Must have that Batcave playset! But I will be repainting that Kryptonite green cage first thing.

How will you be reminded that modern Batman and Superman should always be fighting? Always.

Haha... true. And judging by the amount of humor in the JL teaser, Sour Supes must be detained or killed to move forward

It's official title is now the "Kelvin Timeline". As for gay Sulu, I have two comments: Art imitates life and INCLUSIVENESS!!!!

At least Sulu Prime dislikes the move...who saw that coming? What? Lost in Space SERIES? Oh, the pain! The Paaaain!

  6. Ouch...just got paid and X-men legends AND Fortress Maximus come into stock. I'm toy rich, beeyotch!

      yojoebro82

Depending on when you ordered, those X-Men are starting to ship now. Some fanboys are even providing play-by-play of when their account was charged, when they received their shipping notice, and what city their X-Men toys are currently in. You could cut the tension with a knife!

  7. Near midnight Walmart visit in neighboring town after visiting the parents...found TFA Leia and Han! Shocking!

You mean the snow jacket and blue dress versions? I'm not as excited for those two but I'll probably grab them if I see them. I wanted purple vest Leia first...

  8. Chewbacca Mom and family are getting full college scholarships...yep...hard work and determination...or viral videos...

Disney's way of saying "Thanks for selling all of our product that was otherwise heading for the clearance racks".

    2. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

I'm behind on my flash in the pan pop culture news. I know Chewbacca mom exists but I never set aside time in my day to read about her. Now I hear there's something with a gorilla and a baby......? Who knows.

  9. gah! Was waiting on that electronic chewbacca mask to go deep clearance, then some lady makes youtube video and drives up the interest and the prices!

  10. It's that special time of year again...the time to grab your hair and scream, "F*** SDCC exclusives!!!"

  11. got the Wally exclusive movie Turtles...extra heads and accessories: totally worth it if you skipped the last round

I did skip the last round and I think I may have to bite. Been in a Turtles mood lately.

It's not like it's a new thing. It's literally been around almost since the beginning. 1979 at least.

No... the only real Star Wars day is November 17th...and its been a thing since 1978. DUH :P

  13. Lots of Star Wars merch on clearance at Walmarts in my area. Shades of Phantom Menace: an incomplete Micro Machines collection.

    1. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

I'm about to give up on finding the remaining few 3.75" figures. Ackbar, Nien Nunb, unmasked Kylo...no one in my area is restocking these. Amazon has been refusing to list them for retail price, they've been scalping them for an extra $4+ for months now.

  14. Even though the final two episodes were disappointing, Daredevil season 2 was pretty good overall.

    1. yojoebro82

Finally finished Jessica Jones and Star Trek TNG with the wife. DD season 2 is next on the list. I saw the episode where Punisher has him chained on the roof which was pretty sweet. Hearing DD try to talk Catholics and Mass with Punny made me love this character more.

Im the other way around...most of the time I can do without the hong kong phooey and mysticism. However, they did a great job intertwining both stories and keeping me interested...up to the last 2 episodes. The resolves were flat.

  15. And Will Smith as Will Smith in a Deadshot costume

    1. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

If you asked me to sum up Deadshot's personality beyond "guy with guns", I couldn't do it. I think this is the third on-screen incarnation of this guy in the last 10 years. If DC doesn't care how they go at him, I don't either.

    2. featofstrength

      featofstrength

There's a big difference between say "Concussion" and "Welcome to Earf!" I guess this Deadshot is more "Bad Boys?" Good thing thing he wont have to boycott the Oscars for this one, I guess.

I guess my biggest complaint is, "too soon". If I saw this after a years-long SW drought, I'd be more pumped. It looks just fine, but in the big picture, this is just one of the first in a never ending annual salvo of movies.

    4. featofstrength

No "Fury Road" for 2016...oh well, "Rogue Two: Bothan Boogaloo" for 2020!

  17. The Killing Joke animated film...I wish I could get excited by this, but the animation is more of he same: cheap and lacking effort.

    1. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

Did you know DC's current answer to whether or not the Killing Joke is in continuity is "you decide"? No lie. Anyway, they've marketed DKR so much in the last few months, I'm ready for them to rehas....er...switch focus to the other super-dark, 30 year old classic Batman tale.

    2. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

I have no problems with the original DKR or Killing Joke. It just seems DC is really focused on going to the well on both of these to get more $$$ than trying to think of...you know, NEW material. But unlike Miller, I doubt DC will get Moore to do a sequel to his story.

  18. Ooo...those reviews...

I'm really on the fence about this. Ford will be 75 ish by the time this gets to filming. I'm really not sure they are doing this because it will be good or because Ford will get 25 + million dollars for it.

    3. yojoebro82

      yojoebro82

Well the answer to why it's being done is just like all the other sequels/ reboots: It's a proven franchise and no one has to come up with anything truly new and unique. That's just a fact of modern Hollywood. Whether it's good or not, we'll have to wait and see.

The League sucked, but Sean Connery was still kicking ass at 73 as Alain Quartermain. Surely "Junior" deserves a chance to show the old man up by a few years.

About what I expected...making a crutch out of the original, CGI overload, and "bad-ass" character spotlights.

  22. Ugh..snub Roger Deakins but give old babyface his award for finally crying and screaming hard enough.

  23. Another empty-handed trip to horrible Target for exclusive figures!

  24. Anyone not wanting the BAF Red Onslaught pieces from the ML Cap wave, PM me. I got the only figure i want from the set (Whirlwind) but would like the BAF
