  1. I've held out for a long time but recently I broke down and bought both boosters and all of booster sets 1 & 2. True you can get larger scale ones for close to the price but I totally dig how small and articulated they are. I guess it's the gashapon collector in me.
  2. I don't have them but I actually got to see them in person when I went on vacation this past weekend. They are about 3-4 inches high, pretty light weight plastic, and have a limited range of poseability. Totally retro feel about them which I don't like so I passed on them. Here are some pics: link
  3. I'll attest to that. Hobgoblin was hard to find at first but last week I came across 2 of them at TRU. I bought one and I went back earlier this week and there was 2 there again! Must have restocked.
  4. Great mod. Blows away the toybiz version IMO!
  5. Cool tips Jin, I can't wait to do it.
  6. Awesome! Great job Waiting. That's my dream to have a mighty display one day. Until I get more room, all my legends will have to sit in huge plastic bins. @hmmm@
  7. They've been rolled out at the Dixon, CA 24 hr Walmart. When I left there were still 2.5 sets left for grabs. GL! Don't know if this info was posted, but the 4 sided display had all the new stuff on each side. Masterpieces, Box Sets, Versus packs, and Giant Man Series. I'm gonna go build my Giant Man now!!!
  8. Great info thanks Clam. Congrats on your haul.
  9. Hey Clam, what was the stock looking like after you guys left? I called the stores in Sac but they don't seem to have them in stock. I'm 2 hours away, a bit too far for me to go just for some leftovers.
  10. Wow sweet paint job, it's even better then most ML out of the package! Any tips to other people who want to do this? Type of paint, best tools, etc.
  11. Anyone follow this series? I know it ended at 62 and doesn't look like there's plans to continue this anime. Since I came in at the end does anyone know more information on why it was cancelled and if it'll possibly continue? Thanks!
  12. IMHO, I think they are great. I have every single one of these suckers (minus a couple redunant variants) and 1 or 2 did have some QC issues where a peg was too long and I had to cut it shorten it with my precision knife but other then that they are sturdy and have great "in action" poses. The $5 is actually pretty comparable to the price you would pay for a similar gashapon figure in Japan. Just because they don't move like an action figure doesn't mean it sucks and should be cheaper.
  13. Anyone here collect these? I've done a little research and seem to be based off a game about demons and gods. I'm totally impressed at how cool these things look and thinking to spring $100+ to get all 3 sets that are out right now. If anyone has any info on these I would appreciate it. Here's a pic from series 1:
  14. Really? I really hope so. Do you remember where you read news on series 3? I think alot of people that replied on this thread are skeptical it was even an official release and it was just made up by some seller website.
  15. I did some closeups and tried my best explain each articulation. There is a 5th figure but it's identical to the spidey in normal costume. Here's the venom one I did, you can check out the rest here GashaponCollector.com
  16. Don't know anywhere local to buy these Synch. You can try ebay but the cheapest I've seen it is $40ish. I'll upload some more detailed pics soon, I just got some sweet photoshop tips so hopefully they'll be less blurry!
  17. High Quality Indeed!!! Once upon a time (2 months ago ) I was a Marvel Legends Collector, then a figure factory collector, now a hardcore Gashapon Fan. Much more space friendly!
  18. On topic with the Marvel Universe 1 thread I posted earlier, thought I'd leave these pics for any spidey fans on this board: From Kaiyodo each about 1-2.5 inches in height and poseable. The black spidey actually has a webbing that's magnetic which he can hang from. More pics here GashaponCollector.com
  19. Did you just buy these smaller Bleach figures? I saw them at a corner shop for $9.95 a piece, way to pricey especially when it's a blind purchase. Thanks Skip, I saw a bit of a void in the english speaking gashapon community and I thought I'd fill it.
  20. Well, you do get 10 figures total, but the other 4 are just variants of the 6. Here are some thumbs of the variants:
  21. Cost me about $70 with shipping. Ordered a case from Hobby Link Japan (HLJ). A bit pricey but I love 'em!
  22. Just got my shipment of these figures in. Super small and poseable. Very cool!
  23. Anyone else out there collect the Character series? Here's a pic from my collection: Also, anyone have thoughts on the Real Collection? I've been thinking about buying them but they don't seem as cool as the Character series
  24. Just got them in today, thought I'd post up some pics! There's more pics here if you're interested in this line: GashaponCollector.com
