  1. So, you're basing your response on a rumor? Please. And what exactly did this 7 part movie thriller entail? I would seriously like to know. And if by "worth being made" you mean directed by Tim Burton with Nic Cage as Supes... @puke@ I never thought "super-receeding-hairline" was ever a good power.
  2. Exactly. Heaven forbid they don't take a story straight out of the comics for a change. Lets see where they go with this. This wasn't intended to be a stand alone movie, it was written under the assumption of having sequels. We don't really know the entire direction they're taking it, so just sit back and see what happens. And as for the original poster's choices, those are the exact reasons why it took sooooooooo long to get an approved script. Too much comic influence and no actual movie worth being made.
  3. Interesting, but I was never a big fan of him being the Flash anyways. Doesn't sound so good that the movie itself seems to be spinning it wheels.
  4. Wheeljack, that was pretty cool! And yes we know its apples to oranges, nobody is arguing that. Its just good fun. Loved seeing them use the Defiant in there. After all "she's a tough little ship." "Little!?!" @loll@
  5. She's NOT married to Richard White. And the whole kid scenario, is it too much to ask that beyond what we saw on film, that they did have sex? Is that such a stretch? I don't think so. Lois and Superman have always had a relationship, this goes well beyond what we see on film. And of course there's always the scene from Superman II where they did have sex, super powers or not. And while having a "Superman Begins" movie, might not be a horrible idea....ok that IS a horrible idea. The whole reason for not doing that was so they wouldn't be treading on the original adaptation, which was a great story/movie to begin with. Whereas "Batman Begins" used an arc that hadn't been done in film before. I understand where you're coming from on this, its just not a good idea. Give Singer credit. He took a beloved story/character and had the courage to actually take it in another direction. Superman has always longed to be more human, to fit in, its not just simply about beating up bad guys and saving the world. Singer's take has added much more dimension to the character itself, and I think thats exactly what he was aiming for. For the people who don't/didn't like it, "Returns" was not intended to simply be an action oriented film, although it has those parts. It was more about the emotional journey for Superman/Clark and how he has to deal with those things as well as being a hero.
  6. Come on, give us some pics of the damaged goods... and a shot of where you burried your dog... @loll@
  7. I remember watching this series! I loved it. I mean who wouldn't? Kid goes around blasting baddies from Nintendo's gaming world with his lightgun at his hip. It was GREAT!!! Well, the series is slated for DVD release on 2-27-07. I'll be getting it for sure. Plot Synopsis: Kevin Keene, a teenager from Northridge, California, is brought to another universe known as Videoland, along with his dog, Duke, to defeat the evil villainess, Mother Brain. Mother Brain is trying to conquer Videoland. Kevin has been brought to defeat her, as foretold in an Ancient Prophecy. Kevin is given the title "Captain N: The Game Master". He and Duke join the N Team, which consists of Princess Lana (the Ruler of Videoland), Simon Belmont (the hero from Castlevania), Mega Man, Kid Icarus, and Gameboy (a giant supercomputer). The N Team goes up against the evil Mother Brain (the villain from Metroid) and her minions, King Hippo (Punch-Out), the Eggplant Wizard (Kid Icarus), and Dr. Wily (Mega Man). These forces of good and evil go up against each other and often find themselves in comical, hilarious situations.
  8. Well, I posted this in the entertainment section, just thought it might get more views here.
  9. Someone took the time to edit all this together, and fairly well I'd say.
  10. Agreed. Connery is a must have if Henry Jones Sr. is to be in the movie. Re-casting him would NOT be a good idea.
  11. Ok, its not really me, but this is frickin' hilarious. I've always been a huge backer of Sony, but I've seriously been losing my faith. Lets hope they drop the price on this thing quickly, and crank out some top notch titles for it, or else its gonna go the way of the dodo. Anyways, thought this video was too funny not to share! Enjoy, or look away, its your choice... @loll@
  12. Oh happy day! I hate that local grown POS! No good movies, can't act, and not so good looking. And maybe the whole married to Tom Cruise thing put people off as well. Either way..........THANK GOD!!!! @jump#
  13. I didn't recall my Flash figure (from the JUSTICE line) being in a pre-posed state, so I went and looked. He's standing straight up, just like Superman, Batman, GL, and the rest. But the picture on the box does have him in that half-running stance. Interesting.
  14. There hasn't been a bad RED K episode so far. Its always fun to see "Kal" go on his suave streak... @loll@
  15. Sorta reminded me of the Season 5 ep "Sliver" when Fine infected him and he was super paranoid and losing his mind. Nice to see 'em using more and more characters from the DC universe though. If only Mattel would have such a brainstorm for the DCSH line... @propeller@
  16. Wow, I like Spidey and all, but that robot is frickin' creepy! @Jason1@
  17. @loll@ @loll@ @loll@ No complaints about that!
  18. WOW! Nice job. That really does look like ol' Lou. Thats a great custom. The skin looks to be about the right color, the body is well in proportion, and the head is simply amazing! Great job. Many customs I've seen on here are complete crap (no offense to anyone, its simply the truth) but this one is very nice.
  19. LOL... @loll@ I remember that. Bought a few of 'em myself. Of course then I got tired of all the variant He-man's they were throwing out so then I got rid of the entire line. Lets hope they don't run this series into the ground, which at this point is looking like a strong possibility. Lets hope we see some good stuff coming out of ToyFair in February.
  20. Interesting, I hadn't seen the Batman Legends one before. It was ok. Noticed at least 3 different Batman costumes in it which was cool. Nightwing was a nice touch too. Here it is for anyone else that hasn't seen it. BATMAN LEGENDS
  21. OK, I can also add the Batman Begins one to my must haves as well. You guys are killing me! @smilepunch@ Not really a big fan of the Tonner stuff though. They look too much like "dolls" for my taste. Nice pics though Shaun, nice collection.
  22. A GA spin-off would be cool. I really liked how they brought him into Smallville. Did ya know he's the same actor that they did the Aquaman pilot with as AC? At least they still found some superhero work for him...lol. I would love for them to do some type of other superhero show. Batman, I'm sure is out of the question, but a young Flash or Green Arrow would be at the top of my list. They probably can't do a Flash show right now either because of the movie rights and all that other junk, but maybe down the line.
  23. No, not really....just seeing that GL keeps reminding me what I'm gonna have to pay to get one... @grumpy@ I think I'll be getting that Superman Returns one as well. Nice pics!
  24. Forgot about Big Lots, but yeah, last time I was there they had several Brainiacs.
