\ Ok, I'm just gonna leave that one alone... @loll@ @monkey@

Wow, didn't expect this. Opening the thread I expected to read a punchline, but its actually true. Its nice that everyone is trying to play the "good humanitarian" card, but come on. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that she OD'd or committed suicide in some way. Now since its someone in the public light, she's newsworthy. People die every day in more horrific and terrible ways, having suffered way more pain and anguish, and 99% of this goes untold, unnoticed. Sure, I feel bad for the daughter she leaves behind, but thats not to say I didn't feel just as bad for the kid before, having that nutball for a parent and all. Not trying to come off as a prick, but there are many, many more people that could use the focus more than this. The death of Anna Nicole Smith, while worthy of being mentioned, is not something we, nor the media should blow out of proportion, but thats exactly what will happen. IMO, its Darwinism at its finest...

WOW! Awesome job! Those all look just as good or better than anything they could put out. Just makes ya realize how many more characters they can keep producing.
-
Maybe its just me, but these figures just look off somehow. Biz looks more like the Hulk than anything. Oh well, I think I'll at least get the Zod figure, possibly an Ursa too.

Not sure what you're hoping for but this isn't exactly a line for those that want articulation. @smilepunch@

Hmmm, very nice. Now if we could add a DC related site also, that'd really hit the spot. @poke2@

300 - In Theaters and IMAX March 9
Last Son of Krypton replied to The Wire's topic in Action Figures
Definitely a must see! If it ends up being even half as good as the previews, it'll be great! -
I've only seen one EVER, and that was before X-mas. And yes, I bought it.
-
YIKES! That first one is aweful! One boob? LOL! I saw a lady on 60 minutes or something that had that go wrong with her breast augmentation...they fused them together accidently and she was left with one giant boob cluster. The Pam Anderson one is waaaaay better, but still, not that great IMO.

Well, we all know thats not gonna happen. Way too many characters with individual property rights being the main reason. I think its still simply an effort to put out more figures to a wider audience, much like the Legends series has done. Its probably not "great" news to local comic shops though. Instead of being the main outlets for DC Direct figures, these same figures are now going to be available everywhere. I'm sure they'll still get exclusives and such, but overall, it can't be good for business.

YIKES!!! Thats quite an update! Lots of great stuff coming out this year, and we still haven't seen the stuff from Toy Fair yet. Ouch...my poor wallet...
-
Pics are always a plus! If you could manage it, I'm sure everyone would appreciate it. As far as the scale for Series 5, I'm not too worried, as I've said before this is one set I don't open. They all look just fine MOSC. EDIT: Oh, and don't forget there is also the variant Martian Manhunter. Its a clear version. I'm not sure, but it might be a retailer exclusive like the variant Superman was. All I know for sure is that it is limited.

Anyone know where to get these guys?
Last Son of Krypton replied to CaptainCold's topic in DC Comics
Well, as far as retail goes, my two LCS sell new figures around the $15 mark. Usually anywhere from $14.99-17.99, depending on what it is. If you're looking for older stuff, its more than likely you could end up paying more, and less for others, it just depends on the character or series. -
And the people rejoice... @yipee@ As for the figures, I'll probably order them next week.

Luke's only fighting Vader in each pic. As to why he's always in Jedi garb is beyond me. And as for Obi vs Vader on Bespin.... #WTF# @duel@@ -
Smallville Season 6 Discussion Thread

Thats not gonna happen, nor is it possible. Her and Clark weren't even on speaking terms when her and Lex were bumpin' uglies. Lex is up to something, you can be sure of it! Mark it down! -
Yeah, that thing got snatched up real quick. I'd still rather have it new, or at least with the box. Besides I've already dumped $400 + in the past 7 days on figures, so my wallet needs a break...at least for a few days... @firedevil@

All in due time.....tax return time. #US1#

Well, I'm sure Mattel will still be Mattel. We'll still get waves and waves of Supes and Batman, its inevitable. Hopefully what DC will be doing is offering a wider variety of characters, while letting Mattel drown us in the Supes/Batman stuff.

I don't want to join...... @smilepunch@ Still waiting to get that darn elusive GL. Over the past several weeks, there have been fewer and fewer on eBay. Only ONE is up at the moment and it starts at $140 with a BIN of $160. Was watching a loose one that went for $125. To get one, it looks like its still gonna be around $150. @grumpy@

CornerStoreComics is one of my favs. Very decent pricing, especially when pre-ordering. You can find pretty much any figure you're looking for, but they don't update as frequently as other sites. They might have an item that says in stock, but when you try to add to cart, it says item unavailable. But other than that I'd recommend them. I've ordered from there several times without problems. Only other suggestion is to frequently check ebay, and I mean FREQUENTLY. The best deals always get snatched up fast when someone lists something with a Buy It Now option and doesn't know what its worth. So check often, and I'm sure you'll come across some good deals. -
Hmmmm, very interesting. Vague, but interesting. In that interview not so long ago, didn't that guy mention a line for mass retail? It does say released to mass market. At least ToyFair is only a few days away. First thing that came to mind when I saw this was the JLU. Could they be doing a 6" JL line? That would be awesome! Or a DC line similar to ML like HardrockBatman suggested? Took them long enough, but I too doubt that thats it. Oh well, we'll find out soon enough.

Yikes, no need to jump the gun guy. In no way am I a big Iron Man fan, but I'm still looking forward to the movie. If it sucks, then it sucks, but if its good, its good. I'd rather like to make my OWN decision AFTER actually seeing it. If you remember, people were saying that Batman Begins was going to be horrible, too many big names in the cast, pictures of the Batmobile had people going "WTF are they doing", and various other "obvious problems" but it turned out to be IMO the best Batman flick ever. We haven't even seen a trailer yet, so why would one start to bash it already? And this coming from me, I could really care less about the movie itself, but I hope that its an enjoyable film. Face it, the better comic movies perform, the more they'll make, and I think that'd be better for everyone. There will be some good and some bad, but the more the merrier.

Yeah, sound would be cool, but man, I thought I had some free time....

Ok, got him today, and thankfully...no problems. At first there was a rattling sound and I was kind of worried, but all it was only one of the extra hands had popped out of its slot and was rattling around. Other than that, everything else is fine, no broken wings here.
