  1. Thought this was pretty cool for those interested in it. Even has the name of the episodes listed as evidence from various series. DC Animated Universe Timeline
  2. THE SKY IS FALLING!!!! Ok, seriously though, I highly doubt it. Never seen 'em on clearance anywhere in 5 different states.
  3. Didn't see it posted, so thought I'd share. Pretty funny. Enjoy!
  4. Just picked up Az and Freeze yesterday at a Wal-Mart in Valparaiso, IN during my travels for work. Living in NW Ohio these have been pretty impossible to find. They had the whole set, but I've seen plenty of Bats and Robins, so I'll pick those up later. I'm assuming they just opened a fresh case cuz the pegs were pretty full. They also had 40+ Marvel Icons in stock! Around here you're lucky to find one or two if any, and here they had 40+!!!???!!! Whats up with that? Anyways, love these two figs. The Azrael is sweeeeeet!!!
  5. Oh yes, I'll definately continue to purchase this line. Love the McGuinness stuff!
  6. So far I've seen lots of Bats, an occasional Robin, and nothing else. Damn those horrible case ratios!!!
  7. Well, if you're a Bats collector, and you plan on opening them, if you don't have an extra batarang lying around, that'd be sad. @smilepunch@ Always seems like they package a crapload of those things.
  8. Thats what I would assume as well. Dent was a good guy until his accident so I wouldn't expect to see Two-Face in the next movie at all. We all remember "Mr. Colt 45/Lando" as Harvey in the first Tim Burton Batfilm. Too bad they weren't able to expand on that franchise with the same actors or under Tim Burton. Not that Burton's first two were great, but the flicks they crapped out after those and stuffed down our throats were simply god aweful and frankly I'd rather not revisit just how bad they were. Hmmm....so Phillippe as Dent, eh? I could live with that I suppose.
  9. Well, I think the rest of us are also taking them for what they are, we just decided to switch back to toilet paper though, for comfort reasons. @poop# @pow@
  10. I still don't get why this bothers some of you so much. Superman was created by a couple of Jews, he's from Krypton, he was simply raised here. As another poster put it, he's the ultimate immigrant. I think its time to for some of you to realize that Superman and everything he stands for goes well beyond ONE country, regardless of your patriotism. He, and everything he stands for involves ALL OF MANKIND....hence..."the big picture."
  11. Well, I guess its just pretty obvious that some people don't get the big picture. And if one could, please define for me "the American way" and why this phrase being altered seems to be bringing your little world to a screeching halt.
  12. Ok, ok, I can see both sides of this argument. YES, Supes is an AMERICAN ICON, however, this topic has been brought up on various levels of Superman lore, from the comics to the Justice League, Smallville, and Lois & Clark. The writers didn't change the line simply to be "PC" in the movie. Its been altered before. The reason being is that Superman is more global, and what I mean by that, is that he simply isn't saving just America anymore, but people all over the world, and in some instances, the entire galaxy. I really don't think the idea is more PC, its simply updated for our times. I mean, come on, you don't see Supes on comic covers riding missiles into Germany anymore. Why? If I really have to answer that, you simply don't get it...
  13. I suggest you look again...there are only about a bagillion stores to check around that area....
  14. Well, from what I've seen these figures are pretty widespread, and I cover Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky when I'm working, so I make a habit of checking out almost every Meijer, TRU, Target, and Wal-Mart I come across. They all have 'em, or at least one or two figs left. I think with the amount of Wave 1 figues still out there, stores have only been buying Wave 2 one case at a time. I've never seen a whole wave at one location, but I've pieced together 2 sets (one to open, maybe customize, the other to display). Doomsday has been the hardest to find, as I've only come across one. I had a friend find the other one. Again, I just think stores are being a little more careful this time around and don't want to overstock, especially with all the Superman Returns merchandise popping up.
  15. Carpenter WAS in Playboy. I have the issue. Unless its a "fake subscription" I used to have, then this is the genuine article. She is hot, but I don't think she'd pull off a good WW. She just isn't that good of an actress for one, and I think she'd have to be more athletic.
  16. I was at TRU the other day, and saw no stickers on the card backings. Even saw Batgirl on the back of some of them. Then went to Meijer, and they had the black sticker, but I think it was covering up the Crimson Patrol Bats. I know a few guys have seen Batgirl and picked her up, but has anyone seen her lately? Haven't seen any at all, and the stores around here haven't exactly been in a hurry to stock them. And it really seems that each store is different in the whole black sticker thing. Some have them, some don't. This really is getting pretty strange.
  17. I gotta laugh at the fact that he's still charging an extra $10 for shipping. @loll@
  18. OK smart guy, would you prefer a more grounded, realistic movie with Supes battling it out with his biggest rival of all-time in Lex Luthor, or an abnormally large Godzilla-like Metallo stomping around Metropolis? I doubt I'm in the minority here when I say I'd opt for a battle with Luthor. So maybe my phrasing was wrong...I'll correct it. So while it might not be a box office dud in terms of numbers, as I'm sure everyone would go see a new Supes movie, it probably wouldn't be very good.
  19. Good stuff. And NO, that is NOT any indication of the story line....THANK GOD!!! A giant Metallo running around would be a box-office dud, at least in my eyes.
  20. 100 made... @smilepunch@ Seriously though, WHY would you pay THAT freaking much for a custom, or even $3500 for a real one??? OK, maybe I can see why people would pay big bucks for the real deal, although its well out of my price range, but people buying the customs for $250+++ have to be complete morons. Why not buy like 10 GL figs and try and paint 'em yourself? Even if you had no skills at all, you'd be able to custom paint at least 1 decent fig out of that, wouldn't you?
  21. I think I'll pass on this wave. The only fig I like is the Catwoman, but she's just too large. Why can't they just scale their figs a little better?
  22. Yes, I'm with biglebowski on this one. Very cool, and they definately could make a nice Teaser Poster out of that shot, or something similar. Being a movie poster nut, I'd get that one in a heartbeat. Lets hope that it is an actual color shot because bringing in the black costume would be soooooo cool.
  23. Found it over at the official Spidey site. They say its truelly a color photo, so here ya go. NEW SPIDEY SUIT
  24. Hmmm, very interesting. Haven't seen that yet, but I'll definately be checking the backings next time I'm out. That'd be a shame if they're discontinuing her simply for the fact that there weren't enough out there for everyone to begin with and now we'd have to pay through the nose on the secondary market. One question though, why on earth would they do this???
  25. I think the first Batman Animated Series introduced him more to the "general" audience, and thats why we see a lot of him. That and being a "creature" instead of the usually more human Bat-villains like Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Freeze, Catwoman, etc. give the toymakers a little more flexibilty in what they do with him. And maybe he appeals to kids more because he looks "scarier". I really think though that the "creature" aspect of him is what makes him appealing to the casual observer. Thats just my opinion.
