IRONMAN MOVIE FIGURES: tell us what you think.
Autobot Commander for all ages replied to pooda's topic in General Toy Talk
Wel, I already have the ML War Machine from the Galactus line..... I'd only get the new version if the helmet came off and Rhodey was udnerneath...... The current one and hte movie Tony are in great scale, se as WM is a walking tank as opposed to IM being a jack-of-all-trades..... -

I grabbed the tony/IM figure with removable armor.... I like it! I hope to get the War Machine, but seeing as I have the ML figure...... probably not worth it to get a repaint, eh? lol Love that dio you made... care to share where the parts came from? -
Films you would like to see....
Autobot Commander for all ages replied to Riker's topic in DC Comics
"The Belgariad," "The Mallorian," series and the follow-up books "Belgarath" and "Polgara" by David Eddings. Great reads. I'd also like to see JLA made into a live action film..... and The Avengers.... and Captain America...... there's a few others, but they escape me... -
I've been out for a while and I'm sure some of you may remember my ranting about the 501st... Well, I've discovered that the Rebel Legion, their sister club, is not as strict, as a jedi is much easier to duplicate than a stormie. I'm using a better robe, better bots, and I'm waiting for a friend to finish the belt.... then I pray that they'll accept me... An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.... 10 and up Enjoy

I always black out my eyes for events..... I just don't like wasting it for quick shoots like this. Here's a shot from one of my previous appearances... before I upgraded to spandex, I started out with a long sleeved t-shirt and sweatpants... not a pretty sight: It's a load of fun.. especially when a kid runs up and says you're his hero.... or when a group of young ladies come up screaming "we love you!!!" and ask for a pic and a hug.... @firedevil@ I'm goign to post pics of a couple other costume projects around the board, so keep your eyes peeled...

Well, I've come back, even if it's jsut for a few hours. I just wanted to share what I've done since last tiem I was here: Here's my comic costume as it stands: the belt is a custom job, and well worth it. Then... here's the starting point for my returns suit: I plan on goign all out on this: cowl, cape, gloves, boots, leg armor, belt, etc..... I suited up with my current cowl and cape to snap this: And one just for drooling over: That buckle is a functional 89 plated in 18kt gold..... it's not on a belt, but it will be remedied for display.... Nice to be homw, guys. #US1#

---UPDATE!!!--- The gloves came in today around noon. Managed to get some more pics of the suit in a better setting and with better poses. I finally found the benefit of having old fans around the basement. My favorite one has to be this one. Reminds me of the early Begins posters and the video game cover. just an extra shot I love the way the shadowing came through on this one. The battery on the camera went dead before I could get any of my home-made batarangs, but I'm sure I can suit up again tomorrow for a few more pics.

I went to my comic store last weekend and I get to play Batman for FCBD. gallery of my suit here, I'm going to get some better ones soon, as my gloves should get here this weekend. THought you all would like to know. I'll be sure to post updates between now and May and some pics when it's all done. Peace out, ACFAA

Transformer dio Teletran1
Autobot Commander for all ages replied to ecmagee1984's topic in Transformers
more or less, but I still find it better than some TFs I've seen on the shelf. So to recap: G1-ish prime + G2-ish megatron + DVD tha covers the history of the story + the $20 price tag = better than some but still bad. -
Transformer dio Teletran1
Autobot Commander for all ages replied to ecmagee1984's topic in Transformers
I like the Teletran1, I might borrow the design. The optimus Prime came from the 2-pack with megatron from the new "Classics" line. I bought the set myself, and I must admit that this is a pretty good Prime, but it's vehicle form leaves something to be desired. if I were to range just Prime, this would fall just under the MP-01/20th -
Marvel Legends Western Ghost Rider
Autobot Commander for all ages replied to Derrico13's topic in Custom Figures
This looks great now, and will look still better when finished. Good job. I hat to burst your bubble, but there is a "Western GR" released, except it's under the name "Caretaker" in the movie line. Your's looks much better, though. -
I saw these guys out last night and picked up the one w/ the extra head. I'll admit that it looks like crap, but actually a pretty good figure. The hips look crappy, but they are very durable. The only bummer is that the right hand is a permanent fist to hold the chain and that his right shoulder isn't a ball joint. A friend of mine said the Nick Cage/John Blaze head looks like the guy that played Ross from "Friends," and I can't remember what his name is.
