  1. Those look great, James. You did an excellent job with meshing the bone additions to the figures. Seamless. I know it's too much to hope for, but it'd be great if Hasbro would do a line of these guys. The limited series was loads of fun. Well done!
  2. Yes indeed. I made him during the 5-inch figure years of the '90s. I made a slew of custom Avengers, and wanted to do the giant guys as well. Fortunately, Toy Biz was putting out 10-inch versions of some guys, so I got a 10-inch Hercules figure, and swapped heads with a 10-inch Professor X, added some sculpy for belt details, twist ties for the attennae, and painted it. Looks really nice alongside the small guys. I also made a Clint Barton Goliath and a Bill Foster Giant-Man (in the costume a guy from Wizard designed for him as part of "Panther's Claw").
  3. I think that's Blackheart's head. If you look at the shadow on the wall, you can see that he's positioned behind Thanos, and the camera angle gives the illusions that his head is in Thanos' hand. Okay, I must have missed this. He has a figure of Jesse Falcon in there somewhere?
  4. Nice. Hank looks perfect there. Although, I miss the blue sky backdrop you had. Ever since the wing additions, it's been noticably absent. Any reason in particular?
  5. I just checked and the price is now $29.99. Waited too long, apparently.
  6. One of my favorite aspects of the figure is the fact that his cowl and cape are two separate pieces. That's so much better than Taskmaster's uni-cape/cowl. Personally, I think that any figure who has something like this should be done like Hobgolbin's was. Works perfectly, and doesn't look silly. I totally stumbled on him by accident. Finding SMC, XMC, FFC, HC in my area is a near impossibility. I strongly doubt I'll ever see Hydro-Man, Mad Jack, Shocker, Kang, or Dragon Man.
  7. Even though I haven't completed him yet, I'm going to go with Giant-Man on this. Because even sight unseen, an Avenger trumps everyone else. Second after that would be Rover the Sentinel.
  8. That wouldn't make me any better than the people who buy them to resell them. I left them there for somebody else who might need them. I did end up picking one up for a friend today who wanted the bearded variant. And what makes me think they're scalpers is the fact that the entire selection was virtually cleaned out in its entirety. It isn't the first time this has happened around here, and won't be the last. Is it possible I'm jumping to conclusions? Maybe. I do live in a college town. Still, I doubt it. But fortune did partially smile on me today. When I went to check again, they had restocked them last night/early today. While I wasn't able to get an entire set, I did walk away with both Wolverine figures, Sabretooth, and Ms. Marvel. 50% there, at any rate. Although my local stores aren't doing the large pallet in the aisle display. They're mixed in with the other ML figures.
  9. Once again your mansion humbles us all, Waiting. Nice job on the new renovations.
  10. Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to go to the three Wal-Marts within driving distance from me. One in Altoona and two in State College, Pennsylvania. One of the State College store had 2 standard Weapon Xs, one standard Sentry (which I bought), and two bearded Sentries (which I left.) Scalpers had apparently already been there and cleared them out because I was there a couple hours after a friend informed me they were all there. The other location in State College has two lone Weapon Xs remaining. Also scalped. The Altoona location had nothing, but a worker who knew what they were told me a couple guys had come in a bought every single figure. Scalped again. *sigh* I hate Toy Biz for doing this.
  11. I'm an opener. I gladly free them from thier plastic prison, and display them proudly on my shelves.

    Stark Armory

VERY nice. Your whole Mansion setup as a whole is stunning, and now even moreso. Puts my pathetic little attempt at an armory to shame.
  13. Like FUGAYZIE, I keep my stuff in my "Den", which is our finished attic. The remainder of my stuff is in storage bins located in the crawlspace adjacent to my Den.
  14. Well, like I said in my previous post, I keep all my Thor-related stuff in a dedicated cabinet all thier own. The top two shelves contain all my action figures, while the remaining three shelves hold busts, statues, and the like. Top shelf: Second shelf: When I eventually get the Wal-Mart Thor, ML Loki and Beta Ray Bill, they'll be located in this cabinet as well. Enjoy!
  15. I bought Iron Man for my son, and plan on getting him Captain America if I can still find one floating around anywhere. In the future, I'll be getting him all the Avengers-centric ones, so he can have a set of his own to sort-of match my ML.
  16. Like Kahn, I just got the Apocalypse wave as well (I order them through my LCS). Granted, it might be a while after they get released, but at least I'm guaranteed each figure I want. IMHO, it's worth it. The Apocalypse figure that came in my case was the black version. Which I'm thrilled about because I think he looks much better than the blue. Also snagged a white Sasquatch (in addition to the standard) and a black X-23, although the X-23 has to be the worst figure I've ever seen. A bunch of connected sticks in the shape of a human. Ugh. And Toy Biz QC struck again, as my Wolverine's head was dangerously close to popping off its neck post. No worry for me, as I did a simple boil-and-pop to correct the issue, but if a kid had gotten this, he'd be pretty disappointed when it came loose.
  17. I agree that an Exiles box set would be awesome. Mimic (with removable wings and interchangeable Colossus arms), Blink, Morph, and Nocturne seems like the ideal set. Then, like others have pointed out, with White Sasquatch, AoA Sabretooth, and Longshot, we've got some good Exiles representation. And if you like, take any number of redundant variants from the ML line, and make even more Exiles, or members of Weapon X.
  18. ^ I give that lost a big thumbs up! The only thing I might rather have is the "Quinjet Series" be replaced with a "High Evolutionary" BAF. I just like the idea of him being all big and imposing. Otherwise, yeah. My wallet is yours, Toy Biz/Hasbro, if you make all that happen.
  19. I agree. The multiple Spider-Men/Wolverines grate on me something fierce, but Iron Man is one of those characters that you can actually have fun having multiple versions. He's got so many different suits, that it's neat assembling your own "Hall of Armors".
  20. Thor-El

    3 up 3 down

Okay... UP: Thor -- Because you can never have enough Thor stuff Beta Ray Bill -- Same as above Giant-Man BAF -- YEAH BABY!!!! DOWN: Sentry -- Marvel's forcing him down our throats continues. AOA Wolverine -- And we need this monstrosity...why? AOA Sabretooth -- Oh, yes, by all means, let's hog TWO spots from more deserving characters. But like most everyone else, I fully intend to buy them all.
  21. What should have gotten made? ML Thunderbolts wave with Atlas BAF, thank you very much. *drools* Plus more Masters of Evil!
  22. I gave this about a second's thought, since I'm already stressing about the hunt. However, the NON-REFUNDABLE $75.00 deposit sealed the deal for me. NO thank you, Wizard. I'll hunt for them myself. I guess ordering these through my LCS has spoiled me recently.
