  1. I'd love to see the cast of Noble Causes, Invincible, and Jack Staff in this line. Oh, and Firebreather. Heck yeah.
  2. Lord God Almighty, yes! I'm glad that I don't feel the need to buy all of a Hasbro wave. Gives me more money to throw at these bad boys! *bliss* The Spidey-looking guy is 'Star', he's from Erik Larsen's SAVAGE DRAGON. The big guy and little girl are from Jason Pearson's BODY BAGS series. I haven't read that, so I can't tell you their actual names.
  3. Sounds good. I was afraid I missed them again. I'll keep an eye out from now on. Thanks!
  4. Likewise, I'm at the shop every Wednesday getting my weekly fix. I've been reading comics for most of my life. In all reality, I'm not so much a Toy Collector who reads comics, I'm a Comic Reader who happens to buy the toys. I like having 3D representations of the characters on my shelves, but if they suddenyl stopped making them, I don't think I'd be devastated. I know my wallet would be happy.
  5. Apparently, I missed the first wave's solicitation, and I was curious about the second's. I haven't seen it (solicited in Previews) anywhere yet, but I may have missed it. Does anyone know? Help would be appreciated.
  6. Here's some new pictures of my Thor Cabinet. Of course, after I took the shots, I realized I should have dusted it off when I moved it into our new house. An overview...
  7. I'm planning on doing something similar. I don't have him yet (he's waiting for me at my LCS), but I'll be standing him with AoA Sabes, Spidey-2099, and White Sasquatch. Sort of the only Exiles we've got at this point. *grumbles at lack of Blink, Morph, and Power Princess figures*
  8. On ML figures, what's the best way to go about separating the torso from the waist section? I have an idea to try to make a Doctor Strange in his JMS 'Strange' outfit, and thought I'd start by using Dracula's lower half (legs, crotch), and a Mandarin upper body. But I've never separated a figure at the waist joint before. Heat-and-pop method for heads, arms, etc, yeah. Plenty of times. Just never the waist. Any thoughts?
  9. Curses!! @grumpy@ My local shop got their shipment in last week. And out of the 4 cases of waves 14 and 15 they ordered, they got absolutely no variant cases whatsoever! I'm glad I picked up the ones I did when I did. But now this means Julia Carpenter and Golden 1st Appearance Iron Man will have to be sought. Blast! @loll@
  10. Initially, I wasn't planning on changing my buying habits. I love the BAF's, and think they look really nice overall. Plus, being forced to buy figures I really didn't want, while kind of lousy, did in fact help bolster my action figure MU. Now, with the addition of X3 figures into the line, which I have less than zero interest in, odds are I'll just buy the ones I really like. It means I might not get all the BAF parts, but I'll live with it.
  11. Your shop is getting the Annihilus series from Diamond? I tried looking through Previews on several occasions over the last few months and didn't see them listed for order. Like all my other ML figures, I had wanted to order these through my local shop, thereby avoiding the 'hunt', darnit. Do you happen to know the Diamond product code or anything? I'd like to get in touch with my guys and see if they ordered any and I just don't know about it.
  12. Well said. If Hasbro's smart, they'll continue with the BAF waves, as that's the only way I'll pic up movie figures. As it stands right now, they're getting tossed in the 'Box Of No Return' in my closet once I get them. Honestly though, if this wave's line-up is true, then depending on who the BAF is I may end up skipping it entirely. None of those figures appeal to me.
  13. Thanks for the info and the congrats, guys. I was surprised because I really wasn't looking for anything right then. Like I said, my LCS is getting me the wave, so I guess it was just dumb luck that I saw the Destroyer peeking out at me from the pegs. And being the Thor fanatic that I am, I didn't waste any time grabbing him right up. As for the Moon Knights, I think the silver actually looks pretty good on him, but I prefer the black-and-white version.
  14. I was just wondering. I was lucky enough to find a Target nearby that got what I assume is a variant case. They had a couple of the Silver Moon Knights, a Destroyer, Genis-Vell, and a red and black costume Wasp. I picked up the Wasp, Destroyer, and Genis (left the Moon Knights). The Wasp looks good, but I know my local Comic Shop is getting me the wave, which will include a black and yellow costume Wasp. I'm confused because I've seen both listed as variants. Or are they both fairly common, and it's the mythical blue and white version that's the chase? Just wondering.
  15. I like the new packaging. Lord knows the figures will be easier to free from their plastic prisons than they are now. And the loss of the comics and/or backgrounds doesn't bother me. As long as we get the figures (and a BAF part), I'm happy. Less than thrilled with the inclusion of Movie X3 figs, but happy otherwise.
  16. Iron Man's pretty much the only one I'm interested in as well. The more armors for my armory, the better. Hulk, It, and Inhuman Torch are just extras, as far as I'm concerned. Of course, I have to actually get it first...
  17. Atlas, without a doubt. Surtur. Fin Fang Foom would be cool, but I doubt they'd pull it off effectively and at a decent size. The High Evolutionary would be cool, too.
  18. I'd like to get... Series 1: Iron Man Iron Man (Gold) Iron Man (Stealth) Series 6: Phoenix Juggernaut Cable Deadpool I also have yet to get any of Series 14 & 15, and need the Hulk/Leader from Face-off Series 1. Face-off Series 2 and the House of M box set are also must haves. Plus, y'know, the new Hasbro stuff. There are a few figures from the various Classics lines I'd like, but it's rare they show up in my area, so I'm not going to stress about them.
  19. Honest to God, I absolutely never get tired of looking at your display. The armory is really looking fantastic with all those armors in it. I'm looking forward to seeing what you evetually do with the other wing.
  20. Agreed. I prefer the mustard as well. Although ideally, had I thought about it, I would have bought the bearded one in mustard, and the clean-shaven one in lemon. Reflects his scruffy/cleaned up incarnations in the comics best.
  21. Thanks for the pics, mrhayzie. That actually looks pretty darn nice. Looks like I'll have to try to track one of those down.
  22. I was considering tracking this down, but I wasn't sure if the scale was right. Does anybody have this displayed with their Marvel Legends guys?
  23. I don't think I've seen the Crisis on Infinite Earths Wave 2 released yet, is that correct?
  24. Locally, I called Best Buy, Circuit City, and Target, and all three had it on-sale for $12.99. Sounds about right. Although, I'm not sure what, if any, bonuses come with it at each store.
